This product uses a mixture of gasoline and two stroke oil for fuel. Please use extreme caution when handling gasoline.
Do not run near open flames or smoke while running your model or while handling fuel.
Always store fuel in a well ventilated place, away from heating devices, open flames, direct sunlight, or batteries.
Keep fuel away from children.
Gasoline is flammable and poisonous. Gasoline powered model engines emit poisonous vapors. These vapors irritate eyes and
can be highly dangerous to your health.
You must only use a mixture of gasoline and two stroke oil as fuel for this engine. Never use glow fuels intended for R/C cars.
After running, please empty the fuel tank before storing the car.

Install Air Filter Element
When installing inner filter element, make sure there is no gap.
If you are installing the Fuelie engine in a vehicle other than the HPI Baja, use the air filter and exhaust from your vehicle.
The Fuelie 26S is a two stroke engine. Use gasoline mixed with two cycle
oil (#Z191) as fuel.
Use 92-98 octane (US 87-93) mixed in a 25:1 ratio with two cycle oil.
Use only pre-mix two cycle oil to blend with gasoline.
Do not use oil meant for use in engines with separate oil tanks,
or oil that is for both separate oil tanks and pre mix use. Your
engine will be damaged.
Do not use a 40:1 ratio. Your engine will be damaged.
Always use fresh pre-mixed fuel. Using pre-mixed fuel more than one
month old can damage the engine and carburetor.
Mix and store pre-mixed fuel only in containers specifically made for gasoline.
You must keep the mixture ratio at 25:1.
Never use four cycle oil.
Never use gasoline without two cycle oil. The engine will be damaged.
Never use glow fuels intended for R/C cars.

Remove the #86674 Exhaust Pipe before tuning the engine. Be sure to remove it
when the exhaust has cooled down. With the exhaust pipe removed, you can feel
the response of the engine better, this will make it easier to tune the carburetor. By
removing the exhaust pipe, you can get maximum power from the engine. If the
engine is too loud after tuning, re-install the exhaust pipe.
Before tuning, you must fully warm up the engine.
Low speed needle
When making adjustments, only turn needles 1/16
turn at a time. Do not make large adjustments.
Accelerates Slowly
If the cars accelerates is slow, turn the low-speed needle a
maximum of 1/4 turn clockwise from factory setting.
2-3
Carburetor Setting
Do not adjust the Carburetor before Break-In.The carburetor is set slightly rich from the factory. This setting is safer for the engine.
If you are not sure of your setting, you can reset the carburetor to the factory setting.

When making adjustments, only turn needles
1/16 turn time. Do not make large adjustments.
If Top Speed is Slow
If the car top speed slowly, turn the high-speed needle a
maximum of 1/4 turn in from factory setting.
Be careful when adjusting the high speed needle, if you turn
the needle more than 1/4 turn in, the engine will be damaged.
Attention
The maximum lean setting from
the high speed needle is 1 & 1/4
turns clockwise from closed.
Attention
The engine is hot after running, install pipe after engine has cooled to avoid injury.

Dirt is the biggest enemy of an engine and proper air filter maintenance is one of the most important factors that will effect your engines longevity. If you are
using the air filter supplied with your kit, we recommend cleaning the element after every run. If you are using an after market air filter, please follow the
manufacturer’s recommendations. Regardless, it is always a good habit to check the element after every run to make sure it is properly seated in the filter body
and that the body is fully seated on the carburetor. Never run the engine without the air filter!
