Thiscontroladjuststheamountofoverdriveordistortion.
Whenthe Clean Channelisselected, low settingscounterclockwise (CCW), will
deliveracleansound.AstheGaincontrolisincreasedclockwise(CW)thesound
willmovefromcleanintobreak-up,untilatitsmaximumposition,afullcrunchtone
isarrivedat.
WhentheOverdriveChannel is selected, the Gain control adjusts the amount of
overdriveordistortion.Lowsettings,counterclockwise,willdeliveracleansound
ontheedgeofbreak-up.AstheGaincontrolisincreasedCWthesoundwillbecome
moreoverdrivenmovingthroughcrunchtonesuntil,atitsmaximumposition,afull
distortedleadtoneisarrivedat.
3. OD (Overdrive)
PressthisswitchtoselecttheOverdriveChannel.WhentheswitchisintheOverdrive
Channelisselected.WhentheswitchisouttheCleanChannelisinoperation.
4. Volume
ThiscontrolsthevolumeoftheCleanandOverdriveChannels.Turningitclockwise
increasesthevolume.
5. ISF (Infinite Shape Feature)
ThepatentedISFcontrolallowsyoutochoosethe
exact tonal signatureyou prefer.Fully CCW has a
more American characteristic with a tight bottom
endandmoreaggressivemiddle,andfullyCWhas
aBritishcharacteristicwhichismore‘woody’ and
lessaggressive.
6. DELAY LEVEL
Togglethe DLLEVELknob tochangethetime thattheDelayTime (mentioned
below)lasts–thehighertheDLLEVELsetting,thelongertheoveralldelayeffect
willlast.
7. DELAY TIME
TogglethisknobtochangetheamountoftimefortheDELAYTIMEeffect–turnthe
switchclockwisetoincreasethedelay,andcounter-clockwisetodecreasethedelay.
8. MP3 / Line In
ConnecttheoutputofyourMP3orCDplayerhere.Adjusttheplayer’svolumeto
matchthatofyourguitartoenableyoutoplayalong.

9. Speaker Emulated Output & Headphones
This output emulates the tonal characteristics of a guitar speaker cabinet and
providesanaturalvalveoverdrivetoneforconnectiontoarecordingdeviceormixing
desk,andforusewithheadphones.Tomakefulluseof thestereoreverb,usea
stereojacktotwomonojackssplitterleadtofeedtwochannelsoftherecording
deviceormixer(seediagrambelow).Theoutputwillalsofunctionintoamonoguitar
typelead.Alwaysuseagoodqualityscreenedlead.
Note:whenaleadisconnectedherethecombo’sinternalspeakerisdisconnected.
10. Power
ThisswitchisusedtoturntheFLY3onandoff;whenusingbatteries,theFLY3’s
powerlightwilldimasthepowerinthebatteriesrunsout.
11. Power Indicator Light
Thepowerindicatorwilllightwhentheamplierisswitchedon.
12. Bluetooth (FLY 3 Bluetooth ONLY)
YourFLY3BluetoothamplierisequippedwithBluetoothconnectivityforwirelessly
streaming your favourite music and backing tracks. Press this switch to pair a
BluetoothdevicetoyourFLY3Bluetoothamplierandtogglebetweenthemodes
ofoperation(seebelow).
Discoverable Mode (slow LED flash)
ToconnectaBluetoothdevicetoyourFLY3Bluetoothamplierforthersttimeyou
mustmakea‘pairing’betweenthetwodevices.Topair,simplypressandholdthe
BluetoothswitchonyourFLY3BluetoothamplieruntiltheBluetoothLEDdisplays
a slow ash. In this state other Bluetooth devices are able to ‘see’ your FLY 3
Bluetoothamplier(hencetheterm‘Discoverable’)andcanmakearequesttopair.
Whilst the Bluetooth LED is ashing slowly, go to the Bluetooth Settings page
ofyourBluetoothdeviceandlook foryourFLY3Bluetooth amplierinthelistof
availabledevices.Youramplierwillbeidentiedas‘FLY3BT’.When‘FLY3BT’
appears,simplyselectthisdevice and wait a few moments for thepairing to be
made.Youwillhearanaudibletonefromtheampliertoindicatethatadevicehas
beensuccessfullyconnected.
IfapairinghasnotbeenmadewithintheDiscoverableModetimeoutwindow,the
Bluetoothconnectivitywillswitchoffandwillwaitforuserinputinordertoattempta
newpairing.SimplypressandholdtheBluetoothswitchagaintoenterDiscoverable
Modeandrestartthepairingprocess.
Pressing the Bluetooth switch while in Discoverable Mode will put your FLY 3
BluetoothamplierintoScanningMode.
Scanning Mode (fast LED flash)
ScanningMode is used toreconnectany previouslypairedBluetooth devices to
yourFLY3Bluetoothiftheyhavetravelledoutofrangeorhavebeendisconnected.
EnsureyourpreviouslypairedBluetoothdevicehasBluetoothconnectivityswitched
on.PresstheBluetoothswitchoncetoputtheFLY3BluetoothintoScanningMode;
