用途

クリーニングブラシは製品番号にしたがい、内視鏡のアクセサリおよび吸引チャンネル、補助送水チャンネル、バルーン膨張チャンネル

（EUS 内視鏡）、コントロールヘッドの清掃に使用します。クリーニングブラシの用途は次のとおりです。

 チャンネル用クリーニングブラシは、フレキシブル内視鏡から異物を安全に除去するプラスチック製フレキシブルシースに装着した、ナ

イロン製 Flexi Brush™です。

 コントロールヘッド用クリーニングブラシは、バルブ開口部およびフレキシブル内視鏡のコントロールヘッドダイヤルから異物を安全に

除去する際に使用します。

 The.Small.Wonder®.クリーニングブラシは、フレキシブル内視鏡の補助送水チャンネル、バルーン膨張チャンネル（EUS 内視鏡）、フレ

キシブル気管支鏡のアクセサリチャンネルなど 1.0mm 以上のチャンネルから異物を安全に除去する際に使用します。

警告および使用上の注意

 クリーニングブラシを細胞診ブラシとして使用しないでください。

 クリーニングブラシをご使用になる前に、製造元 OEM メーカーが作成する内視鏡の各チャンネルの手入れに関するガイドラインを熟読し

てください。

 クリーニングブラシは 1 度使用したら廃棄してください。プラスチック製シースに取り付けるブラシの止め具を再利用すると、安全上の

問題が生じるおそれがあります。

 ブラシ挿入時にプラスチック製シースまたはワイヤケーブルが極端に曲がった場合は、内視鏡チャンネルを破損しないようブラシを廃棄

してください。

 使用済みクリーニングブラシは別の内視鏡で絶対使用しないでください。二次汚染や患者の合併症を引き起こすおそれがあります。使い

捨てクリーニングブラシは異物を安全に除去するためのものです。ブラシの毛に異物が一部残ることがあります。

 本器具の再使用、再処理、修理、再生、再滅菌は行わないでください。本器具は、STERIS Endoscopy 社の設計によるものではなく、ま

た、再使用、再処理、修理、再生、再滅菌を目的としたものではありません。この使い捨ての医療器具をこのように使用した場合、器具

整合性の低下、二次汚染、感染など、患者に安全上のリスクが発生します。

禁忌

o チャンネルが閉塞している場合やブラシの内視鏡挿入時に抵抗があった場合は、ブラシを無理に挿入しないでください。内視鏡のチャン

ネルを破損するおそれがあります。

o チャンネルの清掃にあたっては、内視鏡の製造元 OEM メーカーが推奨するクリーニングブラシ以外は使用しないでください。

使用方法

1. チャンネル用クリーニングブラシ

a. 適切な洗浄剤を使用し、内視鏡に完全にブラシを通してからブラシを動かす方向を変えてください。内視鏡内でブラシを逆方向に動

かすと、ブラシが広がって内視鏡を破損するおそれがあります。

b. 適切な洗浄剤を使用し、クリーニングブラシをバルブ開口部に通します。

2. コントロールヘッド用クリーニングブラシ

a. 内視鏡のコントロールヘッドからバルブをはずします。適切な洗浄剤を使用し、クリーニングブラシを使ってバルブ開口部を静かに

洗います。ブラシのハンドルをねじったり回転させずに洗ってください。ブラシのハンドルは、ブラシがバルブ開口部に深く入り過

ぎないようにします。

b. 適切な洗浄剤を使用し、コントロールヘッドおよびコントロールヘッドダイヤルを洗います。

この製品は、使用後に二次汚染のリスクを引き起こす生物学的危険物となる恐れがあります。

使用後の製品の取扱いおよび廃棄に際しては、一般的な医療慣行ならびに該当する自治体および省官庁の定める法規制に従ってください。

Intended Use:

Based on the product number, the cleaning brush(es) are used for endoscope accessory/suction channel, auxiliary water channel, balloon

inflation channel (EUS endoscope) or control head cleaning. The intended use of these cleaning brushes is as follows:

 The channel cleaning brush is a nylon Flexi Brush™ attached to a flexible plastic sheath designed to safely remove debris from flexible

endoscopes.

 The control head cleaning brush is used to safely remove debris from the valve openings and dials of the control head of flexible

endoscopes.

 The Small Wonder® - cleaning brush is designed to safely remove debris from 1.0mm and larger channels, such as the auxiliary water

channel of some flexible endoscopes, the balloon inflation channel (EUS endoscopes), or flexible bronchoscope accessory channels.

Warnings and Precautions:

 The cleaning brush should never be used as a cytology brush.

 Original Equipment Manufacturer’s guidelines regarding the care and cleaning of individual endoscope channels must be reviewed prior to

the use of any cleaning brush.

 Dispose of the cleaning brush after initial use. The mechanical attachment of the brush(es) to the plastic sheath cannot be guaranteed to be

reliable or secure following initial use.

 If sharp bends in the plastic sheath or wire cable are observed during insertion of the brush, the brush should be disposed of to avoid

causing damage to the endoscope’s operating channels.

 Never transfer a used cleaning brush from one endoscope to another endoscope, since cross-contamination could occur and result in

patient complications. Disposable cleaning brushes are designed to safely remove debris, some of which can be retained in the bristle

structure.

 Do not attempt to reuse, reprocess, refurbish, remanufacture, or resterilize this device. STERIS Endoscopy did not design this device nor is

it intended to be reused, reprocessed, refurbished, remanufactured, or resterilized. Performing such activities on this disposable medical

device presents a safety risk to patients (i.e. compromised device integrity, cross-contamination, infection).

Contraindications:

o If the channel(s) are known to be occluded or resistance is met in attempting to pass the brush through the endoscope, do not force the

cleaning brush through the endoscope, as this may result in damage to the channel.

o Do not use a specific cleaning brush in a specific channel if use is not recommended by the endoscope’s Original Equipment Manufacturer.

Directions for use:

1. Channel cleaning brush:

a. Using the cleaning media of choice, advance the cleaning brush through the entire length of the endoscope before reversing

direction. Reversing direction inside the endoscope could cause the brush to expand, which could potentially damage the

endoscope.

b. Using the cleaning media of choice, pass the channel cleaning brush through the valve stem openings.

2. Control head cleaning brush:

a. Remove valve(s) from the control head of the endoscope. Using the cleaning media of choice, use the brush to gently cleanse the

valve openings. Avoid twisting or torquing the brush handle. The brush handle will prevent the brush from being pushed too deeply

into the valve openings.

b. Using the cleaning media of choice, clean control head and control head dials.

Product Disposal:

After use, this product may be a potential biohazard which presents a risk of cross-contamination. Handle and dispose of in

accordance with accepted medical practice and applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.
