Power supply
Please connect the designated AC adaptor to an AC outlet
of the correct voltage. Do not connect it to an AC outlet of
voltage other than that for which your unit is intended.
Interference with other electrical devices
This product contains a microcomputer. Radios and
televisions placed nearby may experience reception
interference. Operate this unit at a suitable distance from
radios and televisions.
Handling
To avoid breakage, do not apply excessive force to the
switches or controls.
Care
If the exterior becomes dirty, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth.
Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene or thinner, or
cleaning compounds or flammable polishes.

Keeping foreign matter out of your equipment
• Never set any container with liquid in it near this
equipment. If liquid gets into the equipment, it could
cause a breakdown, fire, or electrical shock.
• Be careful not to let metal objects get into the equipment.
If something does slip into the equipment, unplug the AC
adaptor from the wall outlet. Then contact your nearest
Korg dealer or the store where the equipment was
purchased.

Preparations for tuning
1. Install a battery as explained in "Replacing the battery." If you use an
AC adapter (
: sold separately), connect it to 4 (DC 9V).
2. Turn on the power switch.
3. Connect the output of your instrument to jack 6 (INPUT). If you are
tuning an acoustic instrument, place the built-in microphone near the
instrument or plug in a contact microphone to the input jack.
If a plug is connected to the INPUT jack, the internal mic will not function.
The audio signal that is connected to the input jack will be sent directly to
the Bypass/Sound Out jack.
When not using the tuner, be sure to disconnect cables for longer battery
life.
Muting the sound of the connected
guitar or bass etc.
Connect a latching type footswitch to the Mute Switch Jack in
order to mute the output for silent on stage tuning. To mute
without a footswitch, use the
3 (MUTE) switch.
For connection to this jack, please use a latch-type foot switch
(i.e., where the "on" or "off" status is held between presses).
Replacing the battery
When replacing the battery, turn off the power switch.
If the batteries run down during use, the note name LED display
will be interrupted by a message of "b," "a," "t," "t." The unit
can still be used for a time, but accurate tuning will not be
possible. You should install a new battery as soon as possible.
1. Slide the lid of the battery compartment (located on the
bottom of the DT-7) in the direction of the arrow, and lift the
lid up to open the compartment.
2. Install the new battery, making sure that the polarity is
correct.
3. Close the lid of the battery case.

settings (calibration: A=440 Hz, Reference tone: A4)
• When you turn off the power switch.
• If the battery runs down
• If the battery is removed while the AC adapter is not

Tuning a guitar or bass etc. (Normal tuning)
1. Set the function select switch to CHROMATIC.
2.
Tune your instrument so that the center LED lights. If the pitch is flat, an
LED at the left will light. If the pitch is sharp, an LED at the right will
light. (The note name LED will indicate the note name.)
Using Buzz Feiten tuning
Use this mode only if you have a guitar that is designed with the Buzz
Feiten Tuning System.
The Buzz Feiten Tuning System (BFTS ) adds slight adjustments to the
pitch (similarly to "stretched tuning" on a piano) to make your playing
sound its best from low through high ranges, regardless of chords or keys.
When using Buzz Feiten tuning, tune to the string attack, not the decay.
1. Set the function select switch to BFTF.
2. As appropriate for your type of guitar, press switch
1 ( ) to select
BASS, ACOUSTIC (nylon or steel), or ELECTRIC (the LED in the upper left
will light).
3. Press switch
2 ( ) to select OPEN (open string tuning; the upper left
LED will light), and tune your instrument so that the center LED lights.
At this time, the note name LED will indicate the string number from "1
"to "6 "(or L, 1--4, H for a
BASS).
4. Press switch
2 ( ) to select 12th FRET (tuning with the 12th fret
pressed; the upper left LED will blink), and move the bridge saddle so
that the center LED lights. If one of the "–" LED's light, move the saddle
toward the neck. If one of the "+" LED's light, move the saddle toward
the tailpiece.
5. Press switch
2 ( ) to select OPEN (open string tuning), and tune your
instrument so that the center LED lights.

Changing the calibration setting
1. Set the function select switch to CALIB.
2. To lower the setting, press switch
1 ( ). To raise the setting, press
switch
2 ( ). At this time, the note name LED will indicate the last
digit (8...5, F) of the calibration value in the range of 438 Hz...445 Hz.
When the note name LED indicates "F," the tuner is in flat tuning mode.
Selecting flat tuning mode
1. Set the function select switch to CALIB.
2. Press either switch
1 ( ) or switch 2 ( ) until the note name LED
indicates "F."
3. Set the function select switch to
CHROMATIC or BFTS, and tune your
instrument.
In flat tuning mode, the note name LED will indicate a semitone higher. For
example if you input an A note (actual pitch), the display will indicate "A#."
The calibration value is 440 Hz only.

1. Plug jack 5 into an amplifier.
2. Set the function select switch to
SOUND.
3. To lower the reference tone, press switch

note name LED.
The reference tone is normally output as A4.

Précautions à prendre
Emplacement
L’utilisation de l’appareil dans les endroits suivants

Tenir tout corps étranger à l’écart de l’instrument:
• Ne jamais poser de récipient contenant du liquide à
proximité de l’instrument. La pénétration de liquide dans
l’instrument risquerait de provoquer une panne, un
incendie ou un court-circuit.
• Veiller à ce qu’aucun objet métallique ne tombe dans
l’instrument. Si un corps étranger a pénétré dans
l’équipement, débrancher l’adaptateur de la prise secteur
puis contacter le représentant Korg le plus proche ou le
magasin où l’équipement a été acheté.

Préparatifs avant l’accordage
1. Installer une pile comme indiqué dans la partie «Remplace-
ment de la pile». Si vous utilisez un adaptateur secteur
( : vendu séparément), le raccorder au point 4 (DC9V).
2. Mettre l’interrupteur d’alimentation sous tension.
3. Raccorder la sortie de votre instrument à la prise 6 (INPUT).
Pour accorder un instrument acoustique, placer le micro-
phone intégré à proximité de l’instrument ou brancher un
microphone de contact dans la prise d’entrée INPUT.
Lorsqu’une fiche est branchée dans la prise INPUT, le microphone interne
ne marchera pas.
Le signal audio raccordé à la prise d’entrée INPUT est envoyé
directement à la prise de sortie Bypass/Sound Out.
Lorsque l’accordeur n’est pas utilisé, toujours débrancher les câbles pour
protéger la durée de vie de la pile.
Accordage d’une guitare ou d’une basse, etc.
(accordage normal)
1. Placer le sélecteur de fonctions sur CHROMATIC.
2. Accorder l’instrument de sorte que le témoin lumineux
central s’allume. Si la note est trop basse, un témoin à gauche
s’allume. Si la note est trop haute, un témoin à droite
s’allume. (L’indicateur lumineux de nom de note indiquera le
nom de la note jouée).
Utilisation de l’accordage Buzz Feiten
Utiliser ce mode uniquement si vous possédez une guitare
conçue avec le système d’accordage Buzz Feiten.
Le système d’accordage Buzz Feiten (BFTS) permet d’ajouter de
légers réglages de hauteur à la note (comme un «accordage
étiré» sur un piano) afin de tirer le meilleur parti de votre façon
de jouer des basses aux hautes fréquences, quels que soient les
accords ou les clés jouées.
Lors de l’utilisation de l’accordage Buzz Feiten, accorder la guitare
pendant l’attaque des cordes et non pendant l’estompement.
1. Régler le sélecteur de fonctions sur BFTS.
2. En fonction de votre type de guitare, appuyer sur l’interrup-
teur 1 (
) pour sélectionner BASS, ACOUSTIC (cordes en
nylon ou en acier) ou ELECTRIC (le témoin en haut à gauche
s’allume).
3. Appuyer sur l’interrupteur
2 ( ) pour sélectionner OPEN
(accordage des cordes résonnant librement; le témoin en haut
à gauche s’allume) et accorder l’instrument de sorte que le
voyant central s’allume. A ce stade, l’indicateur de nom de note
indique le numéro de la corde de «1» à «6» (ou L, 1-4, H pour
une basse).
4. Appuyer sur l’interrupteur
2 ( ) pour sélectionner 12th
FRET (accordage en pinçant la 12ème frette; le témoin en haut
à gauche clignote) et déplacer l’assise du capodastre de sorte
que le témoin central s’allume. Si un des témoins «-»
s’allume, déplacer l’assise du capodastre vers le manche. Si
un des témoins «+» s’allume, déplacer l’assise vers la table.
5. Appuyer sur l’interrupteur
2 ( ) pour sélectionner OPEN
(accordage des cordes résonnant librement) et accorder
l’instrument de sorte que le témoin central s’allume.

Modification du calibrage
1. Régler le sélecteur de fonctions sur CALIB.
2.
Pour diminuer le réglage, appuyer sur l’interrupteur 1 (TYPE/
). Pour augmenter le réglage, appuyer sur l’interrupteur 2
( ). A ce stade, le témoin de nom de note indique le dernier
chiffre (8….5, F) de la valeur du calibrage sur la plage allant
de 438 HZ à 445 Hz.
Lorsque l’indicateur de nom de note indique«F», l’accordeur se trouve en
mode d’accordage bémol.
Sélection du mode d’accordage bémol
1. Régler le sélecteur de fonctions sur CALIB.
2. Appuyer sur le sélecteur

( ) ou sur le sélecteur
2
( ) jusqu’à
ce que le témoin du nom de note indique «F».
3. Régler le sélecteur de fonction sur CHROMATIC ou BFTS et
accorder l’instrument.
En mode d’accordage bémol, le témoin de nom de la note
indique un demi-ton plus haut. Par exemple, si vous jouez un
La (hauteur réelle), l’affichage indique «A#».
La valeur de calibrage correspond seulement à 440 Hz.
Jeu d’une tonalité de référence Do 2-Si 5 passant
par la prise 5 (BYPASS/SOUND OUT)
1. Connecter la prise 5 à un amplificateur.
2. Régler le sélecteur de fonctions sur SOUND.
3. Pour abaisser la valeur de la tonalité de référence, appuyer
sur l’interrupteur
1 ( ). Pour l’augmenter, appuyer sur
l’interrupteur
2 ( ). A ce stade, l’indicateur de nom de note
indique la tonalité de référence.
La tonalité de référence émise correspond généralement au La4.
Assourdissement du son de la guitare ou de la
basse, etc. raccordée à l’accordeur
Brancher un commutateur au pied de type à verrouillage à la
prise du commutateur d’assourdissement Mute afin de couper
la sortie sonore pour pouvoir accorder la guitare sur scène en
silence. Pour assourdir le son de l’instrument sans passer par
un commutateur au pied, utiliser l’interrupteur
3 (MUTE).
Pour le raccordement à cette prise, utiliser un commutateur au
pied de type à verrouillage (c’est-à-dire dans lequel l’état «on»
(activé) ou «off» (désactivé) est maintenu entre chaque pression
du commutateur).
Remplacement de la pile
Toujours éteindre l’appareil avant de remplacer la pile.
Si les piles s’épuisent en cours d’utilisation, l’affichage
de l’indicateur de nom de note sera interrompu par le
message «b», «a», «t», «t». L’appareil pourra encore
être utilisé pendant un certain temps mais il ne
permettra plus un accordage précis. Dans ce cas,
remplacer la pile dès que possible.
1. Faire glisser le couvercle du logement des piles
(situé au bas du DT-7) dans le sens de la flèche et
soulever le couvercle pour ouvrir le logement.
2. Mettre la nouvelle pile en place en veillant à bien
respecter la polarité.
3. Refermer le couvercle du logement.

Réinitialisation
Le DT-7 se réinitialise à ses valeurs par défaut
(calibrage La=440 Hz, tonalité de référence: La4) dans
les circonstances suivantes:
• Lors de la mise hors tension.
• Si la pile est épuisée.
• Si la pile est retirée lorsque l’adaptateur secteur
n’est pas branché.
• Si l’adaptateur secteur est débranché du secteur
alors qu’il est toujours branché au DT-7.

Aufstellung

nicht vorgesehen ist.
Interferenzen bei anderen Elektrogeräten
Dieses Produkt ist mit einem Mikrocomputer ausgerüstet.
Bei der Aufstellung in direkter Nähe von Rundfunk-und
Fernsehgeräten kann deren Empfang durch Interferenzen
gestört werden. Betreiben Sie dieses Gerät deshalb in
ausreichender Entfernung von Rundfunk- und Fernseh-
empfängern.
Handhabung
Bedienen Sie die Schalter und Regler nicht mit
übermäßiger Kraft, um Beschädigungen zu vermeiden.
Reinigung
Wenn das Gehäuse verschmutzt ist, reinigen Sie es mit
einem trockenen, weichen Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine
flüssigen Reinigungsmittel, zum Beispiel Leichtbenzin,
Verdünner, Lösungsmittel oder brennbare Polituren.

Vorbereitungen
1. Legen Sie wie unter „Ersetzen der Batterie“ (siehe unten)
beschrieben eine Batterie in das Gerät ein. Falls Sie ein optional
erhältliches Netzteil verwenden (

mit der Buchse 4 (DC9V).
2. Schalten Sie den Netzschalter ein (ON).
3. Verbinden Sie die Ausgangsbuchse Ihres Instruments mit dem
Anschluß 6 (INPUT). Falls Sie ein akustisches Instrument
stimmen wollen, bringen Sie dieses in die Nähe des internen
Mikrofons oder schließen Sie an die INPUT-Buchse ein separates
Mikrofon an.
Wenn ein Stecker in der INPUT-Buchse sitzt, ist das interne
Mikrofon deaktiviert.
Das an der INPUT-Buchse anliegende Audiosignal wird direkt an den
BYPASS/SOUND OUT-Ausgang durchgeschleift.
Wenn Sie den Tuner nicht verwenden, sollten Sie alle angeschlos-
senen Audiokabel entfernen, um die Lebensdauer der Batterien zu
verlängern.
Stimmen einer Gitarre, eines Basses usw.
(normale Stimmfunktion)
1. Wählen Sie mit dem Funktionswahlschalter die Einstellung
CHROMATIC.
2. Stimmen Sie Ihr Instrument so, daß die mittlere LED leuchtet. Bei
zu niedriger Stimmung leuchtet eine der LEDs links, bei zu hoher
Stimmung eine der LEDs rechts (in der Notenanzeige erscheint
der Name der Note).
Verwendung des BFTS-Systems
Verwenden Sie diese Methode nur, wenn Ihre Gitarre mit einem
BFTS-System (Buzz Feiten Tuning System) ausgestattet ist.
Dieses Stimmsystem nimmt leichte Stimmungskorrekturen vor, um
eine bestmögliche Klangqualität zu erzielen, die von gespielten
Akkorden oder Tonhöhen praktisch unabhängig ist (ähnlich der
„gespreizten Stimmung“ eines Pianos).
Wenn Sie unter Verwendung des BFTS-Systems stimmen, stimmen
Sie die Gitarre auf den Anschlag, nicht auf die ausklingende Saite.
1. Wählen Sie mit dem Funktionswahlschalter die Einstellung BFTS .
2. Wählen Sie mit der Taste
1 ( ) Ihren Gitarrentyp aus: BASS für
Baßgitarren, ACOUSTIC für Akustikgitarren (Nylon- oder
Stahlseiten) oder ELECTRIC für E-Gitarren. Die LED oben links
leuchtet.
3. Wählen Sie mit der Taste
2 ( ) die Einstellung OPEN (offene
Stimmung; die LED oben links leuchtet). Stimmen Sie nun Ihr
Instrument so, daß die mittlere LED leuchtet. Hierbei stellt die
Notenanzeige die Nummer 1…6 der Saiten (bzw. bei der
Einstellung BASS die Werte L, 1…4, H) dar.
4. Wählen Sie nun mit der Taste
2 ( ) die Einstellung 12th FRET
(Stimmung mit gedrücktem 12. Bund; die LED oben links blinkt)
und verschieben Sie den Steg so weit Richtung Hals, bis die
mittlere LED leuchtet. Leuchtet eine der „–“-LEDs, so bewegen
Sie den Steg auf den Hals zu; leuchtet hingegen eine der „+“-
LEDs, so bewegen Sie den Steg vom Hals weg.
5. Wählen Sie mit der Taste
2 ( ) wieder die Einstellung OPEN
(offene Stimmung) und stimmen Sie Ihr Instrument so, daß die
mittlere LED leuchtet.

Ändern der Kalibrierung
1. Wählen Sie mit dem Funktionswahlschalter die Einstellung CALIB.
2. Betätigen Sie die Taste
1 ( ), um die Einstellung zu vermindern,
oder die Taste
2 ( ), um die Einstellung zu erhöhen. In der
Notenanzeige wird die jeweils letzte Stelle (8…5, F) des
möglichen Wertes (438…445 Hz) dargestellt.
In der Einstellung „F“ (Flat-Modus) erfolgt die Stimmung um einen
Halbton tiefer.
Kalibrierung auf den Flat-Modus
1. Wählen Sie mit dem Funktionswahlschalter die Einstellung CALIB.
2. Betätigen Sie die Tasten
1 ( ) oder 2 ( ), bis die Einstellung
„F“ in der Notenanzeige erscheint.
3. Wählen Sie die gewünschte Stimmethode CHROMATIC oder BFTS
und stimmen Sie Ihr Instrument.
Im Flat-Modus wird jeweils ein um einen Halbton höherer Noten-
name angezeigt. Wenn Sie beispielsweise ein A spielen, erscheint in
der Anzeige „A#“.
Die Möglichkeit ist nur für 440 Hz gegeben.
Wiedergabe eines Referenztons (C2–B5) über
die BYPASS/SOUND OUT-Buchse
1. Verbinden Sie die Buchse 5 mit einem Verstärker.
2. Wählen Sie mit dem Funktionswahlschalter die Einstellung
SOUND.
3. Betätigen Sie die Taste
1 ( ), um den Referenzton zu
vermindern, oder die Taste
2 ( ), um ihn zu erhöhen. In der
Notenanzeige wird der Name des Tons angezeigt.
Normalerweise wird „A4“ als Referenzton ausgegeben.
Stummschaltung des angeschlossenen
Instruments
Verbinden Sie einen Fußschalter mit auslösender Charakteristik mit
dem Fußschaltereingang (MUTE), wenn Sie die Stummschaltung
(z. B. zum Stimmen auf der Bühne) aktivieren wollen. Falls Sie
keinen Fußschalter verwenden wollen, können Sie die Stumm-
schaltung auch über die Taste
3 (MUTE) ein- bzw. ausschalten.
Verwenden Sie ausschließlich einen Fußschalter, nicht jedoch einen
Fußtaster (bei einem Fußschalter bleibt die Einstellung auch nach
dem Loslassen erhalten und wird erst bei der nachfolgenden
Betätigung wieder umgeschaltet).
Ersetzen der Batterie
Schalten Sie das Gerät ab, bevor Sie die Batterie
ersetzen.
Wenn die Batterieleistung während des Betriebs
schwächer wird, erscheinen in der Notenanzeige
nacheinander die Buchstaben „b“, „a“, „t“, „t“. Das Gerät
kann dann noch ein Zeitlang verwendet werden, allerdings
verliert die Stimmfunktion an Exaktheit. Sie sollten in
diesem Fall so schnell wie möglich eine neue Batterie
einbauen.
1. Schieben Sie den Deckel des Batteriefachs auf der
Unterseite des DT-7 in Pfeilrichtung und heben Sie ihn
dann ab.
2. Legen Sie die neue Batterie ein. Achten Sie beim
Anschluß auf die korrekte Polarität.
3. Schließen Sie den Deckel des Batteriefachs wieder.

Initialisierung
In den folgenden Fällen wird der DT-7 auf seine
Grundeinstellungen (Kalibrierung auf 440 Hz, Referenzton:
A4) zurückgesetzt:
• Die Batterie ist erschöpft.
• Die Batterie wird entfernt, ohne daß ein Netzteil
angeschlossen ist.
• Das Netzteil wird aus der Steckdose entfernt, während
es noch mit dem DT-7 verbunden ist.
