1.2 Important safety instructions

To prevent risk, personal injury and E2 damage

Please read this chapter carefully. It contains important information to prevent personal injury while installing the E2. Furthermore, it

includes several cautions to prevent damage to the E2. Ensure that you understand and follow all safety guidelines, safety instruc-

tions and warnings mentioned in this chapter before installing the E2. After this chapter, additional “warnings” and “cautions” are

given depending on the installation procedure. Read and follow these “warnings” and “cautions” as well.

• Read these instructions.

• Only trained technicians may install the E2.

• Installation of the E2 must be done in a dust free area.

• Only use attachments/accessories speciﬁed by the manufacturer.

• CAUTION: Troubleshooting must be performed by a trained technician. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not attempt

to service this equipment unless you are qualiﬁed to do so.

• Refer all servicing to qualiﬁed service personnel. Servicing is required when the system has been damaged in any way, such

as liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the system, or the system has been exposed to rain or moist

ure, does not

operate normally, or has been dropped.

• FRAGILE: The E2 is fragile. Handle the E2 with care at all times.

• To prevent injury, take note: by law, minimum 2 persons are required to carry the E2.

• Do not remove covers or panels during normal operation. Removal of the top cover will expose dangerous voltages. To avoid

personal injury, do not remove the top cover. Do not operate the unit without the cover installed.

• During maintenance operations, always switch off the E2 and unplug power cords befor

e removing one of the covers, unless

otherwise stated.

• Always wear a wrist band which is connected to the ground while handling the ESD sensitive parts.

• Wear insulating gloves during the execution of the installation and maintenance actions to avoid short-circuit.

• Be careful never to drop anything into the E2 assembly during the procedure. The fall of a tool or a spare part in the E2 could

have catastrophic consequences when you will restart the system.

• Be careful to always follow strict procedures during maintenance operations (spare par

ts replacement).

• This product is intended to operate from a power source that will not apply more than 230 volts rms between the supply con-

ductors or between both supply conductor and ground. A protective ground connection by way of grounding conductor in the

power cord is essential for safe operation.

• This product is grounded through the grounding conductor of the power cord. To avoid electrical shock, plug the power cord

into a properly wired receptacle before connecting to the product input or output terminals. A protective-ground connection by

way of the grounding conductor in the power cord is essential for safe operation.

• Use only the power cord and connector speciﬁed for your product. Use only a power cord that is in good condition. Refer cord

and connector changes to qualiﬁed service personnel.

•Toavoidﬁre hazard, use only the fuse having identical type, voltage r

ating, and current rating characteristics. Refer fuse re-

placement to qualiﬁed service personnel.

• Replace spare parts only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer.

• Save the original shipping carton and packing material. They will come in handy if you ever have to ship your equipment. For

maximum protection, repack your set as it was originally packed at the factory.

1.3 Environmental Condition Check

Environment condition check

The unit must always be mounted in a manner which ensures both air inlets and outlets are free. For installations in environments

where the device is subject to excessive dust, it is highly advisable to take measures to prevent the dust from reaching the unit. If

this is not a feasible , then the unit should be relocated to a different dust-free location.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure at all times that the device is protected from the harmful effects of hostile airborne particles

in the environment of the device. The manufacturer reserves the right to refuse repair if a device has been subject to negligence,

abandon or improper use.

1.5 International Safety Standards

Standards overview

This equipment is built in accordance with the requirements of the international safety standards IEC60950-1, EN60950-1,

UL60950-1 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No.60950-1, which are the safety standards of information technology equipment including

electrical business equipment. These safety standards impose important requirements on the use of safety critical components,

materials and insulation, in order to protect the user or operator against risk of electric shock and energy hazard and having access

to live parts. Safety standards also impose limits to the internal and external temperature rises, radiation levels, mechanical stability

and strength, enclosure construction and protection against the risk of ﬁre. Simulated single fault condition testing ensures the

safety of the equipment to the user even when the equipment’s normal operation fails.

oder das System Regen oder Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt war, nicht normal funktioniert oder fallen gelass

en wurde.

• ZERBRECHLICH: Das Produkt E2 ist zerbrechlich. Behandeln Sie das Produkt E2 jederzeit mit Sorgfalt.

• Bitte beachten Sie: Um Verletzungen zu vermeiden, sollte das Gerät E2 von mindestens 2 Personen getragen werden.

• Entfernen Sie keine Abdeckungen oder Seitenteile während des normalen Betriebs. Bei Entfernen der oberen Abdeckung lie-

s Netzkabel ab, wenn nicht anders

angegeben, bevor Sie eine der Abdeckungen entfernen.

• Tragen Sie beim Umgang mit elektrostatisch empﬁndlichen Teilen stets ein geerdetes Armband.

• Tragen Sie bei Installations- und Wartungsaktionen Isolierhandschuhe, um einen Kurzschluss zu vermeiden.

• Achten Sie dabei darauf, dass nichts in das Produkt E2 fällt. Wenn ein Werkzeug oder Ersatzteil in das Produkt E2 fällt, könnte

dies beim Neustart des Systems schwerwiegende Schäden verursachen.

• Halten Sie bei Wartungstätigkeiten (Teileaustausch) stets genau die vorgegebene

n Verfahren ein.

• Dieses Produkt muss an einer Spannungsquelle mit höchstens 230 V RMS zwischen den Versorgungsleitern bzw. zwischen

Versorgungsleiter und Masse betrieben werden. Für den sicheren Betrieb ist ein Schutzerdungsanschluss in Form eines im

Netzkabel integrierten Schutzleiters erforderlich.

• Dieses Produkt wird über den Schutzleiter im Netzkabel geerdet. Um einen elektrischen Schlag zu vermeiden, schließen Sie

das Netzkabel an eine ordnungsgemäß angeschlossene Steckdose an, bevor Sie die Ein- oder Ausgangsanschlüsse des Pro-

dukts verbinden. Für den sicheren Betrieb ist ein Schutzerdungsanschluss in Form eines im Netzkabel integrierten Schutzleiters

erforderlich.

• Verwenden Sie für das Produkt nur das angegebene Netzkabel und den angegebenen Stecker. Verwenden Sie nur ein Netz-

kabel in gutem Zustand. Überlassen Sie Änderungen von Kabel und Stecker qualiﬁziertem Servicepersonal.

• Um das Brandrisiko zu vermeiden, verwenden Sie nur eine Sicherung, deren Typ, Spannungs- und Stromstärkewert identisch

sind. Überlassen Sie den Sicherungsaustausch qualiﬁziertem Servicepersonal.

• Ersetzen Sie Ersatzteile nur durch denselben oder einen gleichwertigen, vom Hersteller empfohlenen Typ.

• Bewahren Sie den Originalverpackungskarton und das Verpackungsmaterial auf. Sie werden nützlich sein für den Fall, dass

Sie das Gerät transportieren müssen. Um maximalen Transportschutz zu gewährleisten, verpacken Sie das Gerät so, wie es

werkseitig verpackt wurde.

Ein Gerät muss stets so aufgestellt sein, dass die Lufteinlässe und Luftauslässe frei sind. Bei Installation in Umgebungen, in denen

das Gerät einer starken Staubentwicklung ausgesetzt ist, ist es äußerst ratsam und wünschenswert, dass dieser Staub ausgeﬁltert

wird, bevor er am Gerät die Eingänge für saubere Luft erreicht. Vorrichtungen zum Extrahieren oder Abschirmen dieser starken

Staubentwicklung vom Gerät sind unverzichtbar. Ist diese Lösung nicht praktikabel, müssen Maßnahmen erwogen werden, das

Gerät an einen Standort mit reiner Luft zu verlegen.

Der Kunde hat jederzeit sicherzustellen, dass das Gerät vor dem Einﬂuss schädlicher Luftverschmutzung in seiner Nähe geschützt

ist. Der Hersteller behält sich das Recht vor, die Reparatur eines Geräts zu verweigern, das nachlässig oder unsachgemäß benutzt

wurde.

• No retire las cubiertas ni los paneles durante una operación normal. La retirada de la cubierta superior expone voltajes peligro-

sos. Para evitar daños peronales, no retire la cubierta superior. No ponga la unidad en funcionamiento sin la cubierta instalada.

• Durante operaciones de mantenimiento, siempre apague el E2 y desenchufe los cables de alimentación antes de quitar las

cubiertas, a menos que se le indique lo contrario.

• Lleve siempre una muñequera conectada a la tierra durante la manipulación de piezas sensibles electrostáticas.

• Lleve guantes aislantes durante el proceso de instalación y mantenimiento para evitar descargas eléctricas.

• Vigile que nunca caiga ningún elemento en la unidad del E2 durante el procedimiento. La caída de una herramienta o una

Inspección de las condiciones ambientales

Siempre se debe montar un dispositivo de manera que garantice que las entradas y salidas de aire están libres. Para instalaciones

en entornos donde el aparato está sujeto a polvo excesivo, se recomienda enfáticamente la eliminación del polvo antes de que

se introduzca en el suministro de aire limpio del aparato. Los dispositivos o estructuras que extraen o aíslan el polvo excesivo de

forma total del aparato son un requisito previo. Si esta solución no es factible, deben considerarse medidas que ubiquen el aparato

en un entorno con aire limpio.

El cliente tiene la responsabilidad de asegurar que el aparato esté protegido en todo momento de los efectos dañinos de las partí-

culas hostiles en el aire que se encuentren en el entorno del aparato. El fabricante se reserva el derecho a rehusar la reparación si

Descripción de las normas

Este equipo se ha fabricado según los requisitos de los estándares de seguridad internacionales IEC60950-1, EN60950-1,

UL60950-1 y CAN/CSA C22.2 No.60950-1, los cuales son los estándares de seguridad para equipos de tecnología de la
