1. Safety

1.1 Gen eral safety

Safety warnings

The installation of the device must comply with the guidelines in the ClickShare Installation Guide (R5900004).

• To prevent injuries and physical damage, always read this manual and all labels on the system before connecting to the wall

outlet.

• The apparatus must be grounded (earthed) via the supplied power cable. If the supplied power cable is not the correct one,

consult your dealer.

• The ClickShare product is intended to be used in ofﬁce and indoor environments only.

• Only use the power cord supplied with your device. While appearing to be similar, other power cords have not been safety

tested at the factory and may not be used to power the device. For a replacement power cord, contact your dealer.

• This product should be operated from an AC power source. Power input is auto-ranging from 100 V to 240 V.

• All equipment in the system is equipped with a 3-wire grounding plug, a plug having a third (grounding) pin. This plug will only

ﬁt into a grounding-type power outlet. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact your

electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the purpose of the grounding- type plug.

• Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord. Do not locate this product where persons will walk on the cord. To disconnect

the cord, pull it out by the plug. Never pull the cord itself.

• If an extension cord is used with this product, make sure that the total of the Ampere ratings on the products plugged into the

extension cord does not exceed the extension cord Ampere rating.

• Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. Should any liquid or solid object fall into the cabinet, unplug the set and have it

checked by qualiﬁed service personnel before resuming operations.

• Lightning - For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long

periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet. This will prevent damage to the device due to lightning and AC power-line surges.

• Only use attachments/accessories speciﬁed by the manufacturer.

Battery caution

CAUTION: Risk of explosion when the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the waste

instructions.

Environment

Do not place this equipment on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The product may fall, causing serious damage to it.

1.2 Service

Risk of electric shock

Do not open. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover of the unit or of the power supply unit. No user- serviceable

parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualiﬁed service personnel.

Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualiﬁed service personnel under the following conditions:

• When the power cord or plug is damaged or frayed.

• If liquid has been spilled into the equipment.

• If the product has been exposed to rain or water.

• If the product does not operate normally when the operating instructions are followed. Adjust only those controls that are

covered by the operating instructions since improper adjustment of the other controls may result in damage and will often

require extensive work by a qualiﬁed technician to restore the product to normal operation.

• If the product has been dropped or the cabinet has been damaged.

• If the product exhibits a distinct change in performance, indicating a need for service.

• Replacement parts: When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used original BARCO replace-

ment parts or authorized replacement parts which have the same characteristics as the BARCO original part. Unauthorized

substitutions may result in degraded performance and reliability, ﬁre, electric shock or other hazards. Unauth

orized substitu-

tions may void warranty.

• Safety check: Upon completion of any service or repairs to this device, ask the service technician to perform safety checks to

determine that the product is in proper operating condition.

1.3 Heat and ﬁre hazard

Heat and Fire Hazard

Warning – risk of ﬁre: do not place ﬂammable or combustible materials near the device!

Barco products are designed and manufactured to meet the most stringent safety regulations.

This device radiates heat on its external surfaces and from ventilation ducts during normal operation, which is both normal and

safe. Exposing ﬂammable or combustible materials into close proximity of this device could result in the spontaneous ignition of that

material, resulting in a ﬁre. For this reason, it is absolutely necessary to leave an “exclusion zone” around all external surfaces of

the device where no ﬂ ammable or combustible materials are present. The exclusion zone must be not less than 40 cm (16”) for all

Barco devices. Do not cover the device with any material while the it is in operation.

Mount the device in a well ventilated area away from sources of ignition and out of direct sun light.

In the event of ﬁre, use sand, CO2, or dry powder ﬁre extinguishers; never use water on an electrical ﬁre.

Slots and openings in the cabinet and the sides are provided for ventilation; to ensure reliable operation of the device and to protect

it from overheating, these openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product

on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. Loose papers or other objects may not be nearer to the device than 10 cm (or 4") on

any side.

1.4 Environmental Condition Check

A device must always be mounted in a manner which ensures both air inlets and outlets are free. For installations in environments

where the device is subject to excessive dust, then it is highly advisable and desirable to have this dust removed prior to it reaching

the device clean air supply. Devices or structures to ex

tract or shield excessive dust well away from the device are a prerequisite; if

this is not a feasible solution then measures to relocate the device to a clean air environment should be considered.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure at all times that the device is protected from the harmful effects of hostile airborne particles

in the environment of the device. The manufacturer reserves the right to refuse repair if a device has been subject to negligence,

abandon or improper use.

Do not install the device in a site near heat sources such as radiators or air ducts, or in a place subject to direct sunlight, excessive

dust or humidity. Be aware that room heat rises to the ceiling; check that temperature near the installation site is not excessive.

1.1 Allgemeine Sicherheit

Sicherheitswarnungen

Die Installation des Geräts muss den Richtlinien im ClickShare Installationshandbuch (R5900004) entsprechen.

• Um Verletzungen und Schäden zu vermeiden, lesen Sie dieses Handbuch und alle Systemaufkleber sorgfältig, bevor Sie das

Gerät an die Wandsteckdose anschließen.

• Das Gerät muss über das mitgelieferte Netzkabel geerdet sein. Falls das im Lieferumfang enthaltene Netzkabel nicht das

richtige ist, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Händler.

• Das Produkt ClickShare ist nur zur Verwendung im Innenbereich, z. B. in Büros, geeignet.

• Verwenden Sie nur das mit dem Gerät gelieferte Netzkabel. Andere Netzkabel können gleich aussehen, sind jedoch nicht

werkseitig auf Sicherheit getestet und deshalb unter Umständen für das Gerät nicht geeignet. Wenn Sie ein Ersatznetzkabel

benötigen, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Händler.

• Dieses Produkt muss an eine Wechselstromquelle angeschlossen werden. Die Leistungsaufnahme wird im Bereich von 100 V

bis 240 V automatisch erkannt.

• Alle Geräte des Systems sind mit einem dreipoligen Schukostecker ausgestattet, d. h. einem Stecker mit einem dritten (zur

Erdung bestimmten) Stift. Dieser Stecker passt nur in eine entsprechende Schukosteckdose. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein

Sicherheitsmerkmal. Wenn Sie den Stecker nicht in die Steckdose stecken können, lassen Sie Ihre veraltete Steckdose von

einem Elektriker austauschen. Deaktivieren Sie die Schutzfunktion des Schukosteckers nicht.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Gegenstände auf dem Netzkabel liegen. St

ellen Sie dieses Produkt nicht an einem Standort auf,

wo Personen auf das Kabel treten könnten. Um das Kabel abzuziehen, ziehen Sie am Stecker. Ziehen Sie niemals am Kabel

selbst.

• Wenn ein Verlängerungskabel mit diesem Produkt verwendet wird, achten Sie darauf, dass die Summe der Stromstärken der

an das Verlängerungskabel angeschlossenen Produkte die zulässige Stromstärke des Kabels nicht übersteigt.

• Blitzschlag – Um dieses Produkt während eines Gewitters zusätzlich zu schützen, oder wenn es für längere Zeit unbeaufsichtigt

und unbenutzt ist, trennen Sie es von der Wandsteckdose. So wird das Gerät vor Beschädigungen durch Blitzschläge und

Überspannungen in der Versorgungsleitung geschützt.

• Verwenden Sie nur vom Hersteller angegebenes Befestigungsmaterial und Zubehör.

Unter folgenden Bedingungen sollten Sie dieses Produkt von der Wandsteckdose trennen und die Servicearbeiten von qualiﬁziertem

• Wenn das Netzkabel oder der Stecker beschädigt ist.

• Wenn Flüssigkeit über dem Gerät vergossen wurde.

Barco-Produkte werden gemäß strengster Sicherheitsrichtlinien entwickelt und hergestellt.

Dieses Gerät gibt bei normalem Betrieb über seine Oberﬂächen und durch Entlü

ftungsöffnungen Wärme ab. Dies ist normal und

stellt kein Sicherheitsrisiko dar. Wenn sich brennbare oder leicht entzündbare Materialien in unmittelbarer Nähe dieses Geräts

beﬁnden, kann es zu spontaner Entzündung dieses Materials und damit zum Ausbruch eines Brandes kommen. Aus diesem Grunde

muss unbedingt ein Freiraum um die Oberﬂächen des Geräts herum gelassen

werden, in dem sich keine brennbaren oder leicht

entzündbaren Materialien beﬁnden. Dieser Freiraum muss bei allen Barco-Geräten mindestens 40 cm betragen. Bedecken Sie das

Gerät während des Betriebs mit keinerlei Material.

Stellen Sie das Gerät in einem gut belüfteten Bereich fern von möglichen Entzündungsquellen und außerhalb direkter Sonnenein-

strahlung auf.

Verwenden Sie im Falle eines Brandes Sand, CO2- oder Pulverlöscher; löschen Sie den Brand elektrischer Anlagen und Geräte nie

mit Wasser.

Schlitze und Öffnungen im Gehäuse und an den Seiten dienen der Lüftung; um den zuverlässigen Betrieb des Geräts zu gewähr-

leisten und ihn vor Überhitzung zu schützen, dürfen diese Öffnungen nicht blockiert oder bedeckt werden. Die Öffnungen dürfen

niemals blockiert werden, indem das Produkt auf einem Bett, einem Sofa, einem Teppich oder einer ähnlichen Unterlage aufgestellt

wird. Papierblätter oder andere Gegenstände müssen mindestens 10 cm von allen Seiten entfernt sein.

wird, bevor er am Gerät die Eingänge für saubere Luft erreicht. Vorrichtungen zum Extrahieren oder Abschirmen dieser starken

Staubentwicklung vom Gerät sind unverzichtbar. Ist diese Lösung nicht praktikabel, müssen Maßnahmen erwogen werden, das

Gerät an einen Standort mit reiner Luft zu verlegen.

Der Kunde hat jederzeit sicherzustellen, dass das Gerät vor dem Einﬂuss schädlicher Luftverschmutzung in seiner Nähe geschützt

ist. Der Hersteller behält sich das Recht vor, die Reparatur eines Geräts zu verweigern, das nachlässig oder unsachgemäß benutzt

wurde.

Wir machen Sie ausdrücklich darauf aufmerksam, dass Änderungen, die nicht ausdrücklich von der Partei genehmigt werden, die

1.1 Seguridad general

Advertencias de seguridad

La instalación del dispositivo debe cumplir las pautas de la ClickShare Guía de instalación (R5900004).

• Para evitar lesiones y daños físicos, siempre debe leer este manual y todas las etiquetas que se encuentran en el sistema

antes de conectar el aparato a una toma de pared.

• El aparato tiene que tener una toma de tierra a través del cable de alimentación suministrado con el p

roducto. Si el cable de

alimentación suministrado con el producto no es el correcto, consulte con su distribuidor.

• El ClickShare producto está indicado para ser usado en la oﬁcina y en entornos de interior solamente.

• Utilice solamente el cable de alimentación suministrado con el aparato. Aunque tengan una apariencia similar, otros cables

de alimentación no han sido probados en fábrica en cuanto a su seguridad, y no pueden utilizarse para la alimentación del

aparato. Para obtener un cable de alimentación de repuesto, póngase en contacto con un distribuidor.

• Este producto debe operarse con una fuente de alimentación de CA. La entrada de alimentación se regula automáticamente

de 100 V a 240 V.

• Todo el equipo del sistema está equipado con un enchufe con toma de tierra de 3 alambres, es decir un enchufe con una

tercera patilla (tierra). Dicho enchufe solamente se puede colocar en t

omas de alimentación de tipo tierra. Ésta es una medida

de seguridad. Si no logra insertar el enchufe en la toma, comuníquese con un electricista a ﬁn de reemplazar la toma obsoleta.

No anule el propósito del enchufe de tipo conector a tierra.

• No permita que ningún objeto descanse sobre el cable de alimentación. No coloque este producto en sitios donde se tenga

que caminar por encima del cable. Para desconectar el cable, tire de éste mientras sujeta el enchufe. Nunca tire del cable

mismo.

• Si se utiliza un cable de prolongación con este producto, cerciórese que el total de los niveles de amperios de los productos

enchufados al cable de prolongación no exceda el nivel de amperios del mismo.

• No derrame ningún tipo de líquido sobre el producto. Si por alguna razón cae un líquido u objeto sólido dentro del encapsulado,

desenchufe el aparato y deje que sea inspeccionado por un técnico de servicio autorizado antes de reanudar su funcionamiento.

• Tormentas con relámpagos - Para una mayor protección de este producto de este producto, desenchúfelo de la toma de pared

durante tormentas con relámpagos o durante períodos prolongados sin uso o sin atención. Esto previene daños al aparato a

causa de relámpagos y sobretensiones en los cables d

eCA.

• Utilice solamente dispositivos/accesorios especiﬁcados por el fabricante.

No abrir. Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, no quite la cubierta de la unidad o de la unidad de la fuente de alimentación. En

el interior no hay ninguna pieza que pueda reparar el usuario. Las reparaciones las deberá realizar el personal técnico cualiﬁcado.

Desenchufe el producto de la toma de pared y confíe la reparación o el mantenimiento a técnicos cualiﬁcados bajo las condiciones

siguientes:

• Cuando se ha dañado o desgastado el cable o enchufe de alimentación.

• Si se ha derramado líquido en el equipo.

• Si se ha expuesto el producto a la lluvia o a agua.

• Si el producto no funciona normalmente después de seguir las instrucciones de funcionamiento. Ajuste solamente los controles

que se mencionan en las instrucciones de funcionamiento, ya que el ajuste incorrecto de otros controles podría producir daños

y, por lo general, requiere un mayor trabajo por parte de un técnico cualiﬁcado a ﬁn de restaurar el producto a su funcionamiento

normal.

• Si el producto se ha caído o si se ha dañado el encapsulado.

• Si el producto muestra cambios notorios en el rendimiento que indiquen la necesidad de mantenimiento.

• Piezas de repuesto: Cuando necesite piezas de repuesto, cerciórese de que el técnico de servicio utilice piezas de repuesto

originales de BARCO o piezas de repuesto autorizadas que tengan las mismas características que las piezas originales de

BARCO. La sustitución no autorizada podría provocar una disminución del rendimiento y de la ﬁabilidad, incendios, descargas

eléctricas y otros peligros. Sustituciones no autorizadas podrían anular la garantía.

• Inspección de seguridad: al completar cualquier mantenimiento o reparación del aparato, pida al técnico de servicio que realice

una inspección de seguridad a ﬁn de determinar si el producto se encuentra en condiciones de funcionamiento normales.

Los productos Barco se han diseñado y fabricado de acuerdo con las más estrictas regulaciones de seguridad.

Este aparato irradia calor en las superﬁcies externas y en los conductos de v

entilación durante su funcionamiento normal, lo cual

es normal e inofensivo. La colocación de materiales inﬂamables o combustibles en las cercanías de este aparato podría provocar

una ignición espontánea de los materiales, lo cual produciría un incendio. Debido a esto, es imperativo que se deje una "zona de

exclusión" en los alrededores de las superﬁcies externas del aparato,

en la cual no debe encontrarse ningún material inﬂamable o

combustible. La zona de exclusión debe ser de al menos 40 cm (16") para todos los aparatos de Barco. No cubra el aparato con

ningún material mientras esté en funcionamiento.

Monte el aparato en un área bien ventilada, alejada de fuentes de ignición y de la luz solar directa.

En caso de incendio, utilice extintores de incendios de arena, CO2 o polvo seco; nunca utilice agua en incendios eléctricos.

Las ranuras y oriﬁcios del encapsulado y los costados se proporcionan para la ventilación. A ﬁn de asegurar el funcionamiento

ﬁable del aparato y evitar su sobrecalentamiento, no deben obstruirse ni cubrirse dichos oriﬁcios. Nunca coloque el producto en

una cama, un sofá, una alfombra u otra superﬁcie similar, ya que se bloquean los oriﬁcios. No deben colocarse papeles sueltos ni

ningún otro objeto a una distancia del aparato de menos de 10 cm (4") de cualquier costado.

Siempre se debe montar un dispositivo de manera que garantice que las entradas y salidas de aire están libres. Para instalaciones

en entornos donde el aparato está sujeto a polvo excesivo, se recomienda enfáticamente la eliminación del polvo antes de que

se introduzca en el suministro de aire limpio del aparato. Los dispositivos o estructuras que extraen o aíslan el polvo excesivo de

forma total del aparato son un requisito previo. Si esta solución no es factible, deben considerarse medidas que ubiquen el aparato

en un entorno con aire limpio.

El cliente tiene la responsabilidad de asegurar que el aparato esté protegido en todo momento de los efectos dañinos de las partí-

culas hostiles en el aire que se encuentren en el entorno del aparato. El fabricante se reserva el derecho a rehusar la reparación si

el aparato ha sido objeto de negligencia, abandono o uso inadecuado.
