ultérieurement.

Le 100 IWSUB8 Amplifier est un amplificateur de subwoofer de haute puissance conçu pour les installations

d’intégration, avec possibilité de mise en rack. Cet amplificateur est capable d’alimenter jusqu’à deux

subwoofers 100 IWSUB8 connectés en parallèle.

La garantie pour la France sur tout matériel Focal est de 2 ans non transmissible en cas de revente, à partir

de la date d’achat. En cas de matériel défectueux, celui-ci doit être expédié à vos frais, dans son emballage

d’origine auprès du revendeur, lequel analysera le matériel et déterminera la nature de la panne. Si celui-ci

est sous garantie, le matériel vous sera rendu ou remplacé en “franco de port”. Dans le cas contraire, un

devis de réparation vous sera proposé.

La garantie ne couvre pas les dommages résultant d’une mauvaise utilisation ou d’un branchement

incorrect.

En dehors de la France, le matériel Focal est couvert par une garantie dont les conditions sont fixées

localement par le distributeur officiel Focal de chaque pays, en accord avec les lois en vigueur sur le

territoire concerné.

Mise en marche

- Référez-vous aux consignes de sécurité.

- Branchez les câbles du caisson de grave dans les bornes de sortie

et serrez les fortement. Jusqu'à deux

subwoofers 100 IWSUB8 peuvent être connectés en parallèle.

- Connectez la source audio à l’entrée ligne RCA L/R dans le cas d’utilisation d’un amplificateur principal

stéréo (Fig A), soit sur l’entrée L seulement dans le cas d’utilisation de la sortie LFE d’un amplificateur

audio-vidéo (Fig B).

- Vérifiez le sélecteur de tension

avant de brancher le cordon d’alimentation au secteur.

- Réglez le volume

au minimum, puis allumez l'amplificateur

- Ajustez le réglage du volume

de la phase

et du filtre passe-bas

en fonction de l’installation.

Allumage / extinction temporisé automatique

Cet amplificateur de caisson de grave est équipé d’un système de détection automatique du signal audio.

Lorsque le switch est placé en mode "AUTO", le caisson se mettra immédiatement sous tension dès qu’un

signal audio sera détecté en entrée. En mode "ON", le détecteur est inactif et le caisson est maintenu

sous tension en permanence. Inversement, lorsqu'aucun signal n’est reconnu en entrée du caisson au bout

de 15 minutes environ, le système de détection met automatiquement le caisson en mode veille. En cas

d’absence prolongée durant plusieurs jours, il est conseillé de mettre l’interrupteur de mise sous tension sur

"OFF". En cas d’orage, débranchez le cordon secteur.

Réglage rapide

Réglez le potentiomètre crossover

en position intermédiaire pour une utilisation en stéréo, ou sur LFE

pour une utilisation avec un amplificateur principal audio-vidéo sur une sortie LFE.

Ajustez le potentiomètre volume

à mi-course.

Réglage fin

• Ajustez le niveau de grave en fonction des autres enceintes utilisées. Ce réglage pourra se faire en utilisant

des programmes musicaux aussi variés que possible. Le grave devra être présent sans être trop pesant.

• Ajustez la phase

(0° à 180°). La bonne position est celle qui procure subjectivement le niveau de grave

le plus élevé et le plus équilibré.

• Affinez le réglage de la fréquence de coupure au besoin. Plus cette valeur sera réglée bas, plus le grave

semblera profond et ample. Plus elle sera élevée, plus les impacts seront percutants. Le bon réglage est

obtenu lorsque toutes ces caractéristiques sont simultanément atteintes.

• Ajustez au besoin à nouveau le réglage du volume.

Choix des câbles

Pour connecter l’amplificateur du caisson de grave à l’amplificateur principal, utilisez un cordon RCA/RCA

blindé de longueur adaptée. Si vous avez des doutes, demandez conseil à votre revendeur pour trouver la

solution la mieux adaptée à vos besoins.

Thank you for choosing the 100 Series 100 IWSUB8 Amplifier and for sharing our 'Listen Beyond' philosophy.

To get the most out of this product, we recommend that you read the instructions in this booklet, then

store it in a safe place to refer to in the future.

The 100 IWSUB8 Amplifier is a high-power subwoofer amplifier designed for in-wall or in-ceiling installation,

and can also be bracket-mounted. This amplifier can supply up to two 100 IWSUB8 subwoofers connected

in parallel.

Warranty terms and conditions

In the event of a problem, please contact your Focal dealer.

The warranty for France on any Focal equipment is 2 years, non-transferable in the event of resale, from

the date of purchase. In the event of faulty equipment, you must send it in its original packaging and at

your own expense to the dealer, who will analyse the equipment and determine the nature of the fault. If

it is under warranty, the equipment will be returned to you or replaced ‘carriage paid’. Otherwise, you will

be offered an estimate for repair.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from inappropriate use or incorrect connection.

Outside France, Focal equipment is covered by a warranty for which the terms and conditions are

determined locally by the official Focal distributor for each country, in accordance with the laws in force

in the region in question.

- Read the safety instructions.

- Connect the subwoofer cables to the output terminals

and tighten securely. You can connect up to two

100 IWSUB8 subwoofers in parallel.

- Connect the audio source to the RCA L / R line input when using a primary stereo amplifier (Fig A), or to

the L input only when using the LFE output of an audio-video amplifier (Fig B).

- Check the voltage selector

before connecting the power cable to the mains.

Automatic timed power on / off

This subwoofer amplifier has an automatic audio signal detection system. When the switch is set to

“AUTO”, the sub will turn on immediately when an audio signal is detected at the input. In "ON” mode, the

detector is inactive and the subwoofer remains permanently on. On the other hand, if no signal is detected

coming into the subwoofer after approximately 15 minutes, the detection system will automatically place

the subwoofer in stand-by mode. In the event of prolonged absence for several days, we recommend

turning the power switch to "OFF". In the event of a storm, unplug the mains cable.

Quick adjustment

Set the crossover knob

to the middle position for use in stereo, or to LFE for use with a primary audio-

video amplifier on an LFE output.

Adjust the volume knob

to halfway.

Fine adjustment

• Adjust the bass level depending on the other speakers used. This adjustment can be done by using as

varied music programs as possible. The bass should be present without being too heavy.

• Adjust the phase

(0° to 180°). The correct position is the one that subjectively provides the highest and

most balanced bass level.

• Fine tune the cut-off frequency as needed. The lower this value is set to, the deeper and fuller the bass

will sound. The higher it is, the more forceful the impacts will be. The settings are correct when all these

features are simultaneously achieved.

• Adjust the volume setting again as required.

Cable choice

To connect the subwoofer amplifier to the main amplifier, use a shielded RCA / RCA cord of an appropriate

length. If in doubt, ask your retailer to advise you on the best solution for your needs.

Der Verstärker 100 IWSUB8 ist ein leistungsstarker Subwoofer-Verstärker, der für Integrationsinstallationen

entwickelt wurde, mit der Möglichkeit der Rackmontage. Dieser Verstärker ist in der Lage, bis zu zwei

Die Garantie auf alle Focal-Produkte in Frankreich wird für einen Zeitraum von 2 Jahren ab Kaufdatum

gewährt und ist bei Weiterverkauf nicht übertragbar. Bei Materialdefekten muss das Produkt auf Ihre Kosten

und in seiner Originalverpackung an den Händler gesendet werden, der das Produkt untersucht und die Art

der Störung ermittelt. Fällt diese unter die Garantie, wird Ihnen das Produkt frachtfrei zurückgesendet oder

Inbetriebnahme

- Beachten Sie die Sicherheitshinweise.

- Schließen Sie die Subwooferkabel an die Ausgangsklemmen

an und ziehen Sie diese fest an. Es lassen

sich bis zu zwei Subwoofer 100 IWSUB8 parallel anschließen.

- Schließen Sie die Audioquelle an den RCA L/R Line-Eingang an, wenn Sie einen Stereo-Hauptverstärker

verwenden (Abb. A), oder an den L-Eingang nur, wenn Sie den LFE-Ausgang eines Audio-Videoverstärkers

verwenden (Abb. B).

- Überprüfen Sie den Spannungswahlschalter

, bevor Sie das Netzkabel an das Netz anschließen.

- Stellen Sie die Lautstärke

auf Minimum ein und schalten Sie anschließend den Verstärker

ein.

Automatisches zeitgesteuertes Ein- und Ausschalten

Dieser Subwooferverstärker ist mit einem automatischen Audiosignal-Erkennungssystem ausgestattet.

Wenn der Schalter auf den "AUTO"-Modus eingestellt ist, schaltet sich der Lautsprecher sofort ein, sobald

ein Audiosignal am Eingang erkannt wird. Im "EIN"-Modus ist der Lauscher inaktiv und das Gehäuse bleibt

jederzeit eingeschaltet. Umgekehrt, wenn nach ca. 15 Minuten kein Signal am Eingang des Gehäuses

erkannt wird, versetzt das Erkennungssystem das Gehäuse automatisch in den Standby-Modus. Bei

längerer Abwesenheit über mehrere Tage ist es ratsam, den Netzschalter auf "AUS" zu stellen. Im Falle

eines Gewitters ziehen Sie den Netzstecker.

Schnellverstellung

Stellen Sie das Frequenzweichenpotentiometer

auf die Zwischenstellung für die Stereoanwendung oder

auf LFE für die Verwendung mit einem Audio-Video-Hauptverstärker an einem LFE-Ausgang.

Stellen Sie das Volumenpotentiometer

auf die Mittelstellung ein.

Feineinstellung

• Stellen Sie den Basspegel entsprechend den anderen verwendeten Lautsprechern ein. Diese Einstellung

kann mit einer Vielzahl verschiedener Musikprogrammen vorgenommen werden. Der Bass sollte präsent

sein, ohne zu schwer zu sein.

• Stellen Sie die Phase

ein (0° bis 180°). Die richtige Reglerposition entspricht derjenigen, die subjektiv

den höchsten und ausgewogensten Basspegel liefert.

• Verfeinern Sie ggf. die Einstellung der Grenzfrequenz. Je niedriger diese Einstellung ist, desto tiefer und

breiter erscheint der Bass. Je höher sie ist, desto stärker und durchdringender ist der Bass. Die richtige

Einstellung ist erzielt, wenn alle diese Eigenschaften gleichzeitig erreicht werden.

• Passen Sie bei Bedarf die Lautstärkeeinstellung erneut an.

Kabelauswahl

Um den Subwooferverstärker mit dem Hauptverstärker zu verbinden, muss ein abgeschirmtes RCA/RCA-

Kabel der entsprechenden Länge verwendet werden. Wenn Sie Zweifel haben, wenden Sie sich an Ihren

Händler, um die beste Lösung für Ihre Bedürfnisse zu finden.

con noi la nostra filosofia "Listen Beyond". Per sfruttare al meglio tutte le sue prestazioni, le consigliamo di

leggere le istruzioni di questo libretto e conservarlo con cura per poterlo consultare in futuro.

L'amplificatore 100 IWSUB8 Amplifier è un amplificatore da subwoofer ad alta potenza progettato per

installazioni di integrazione, con la possibilità di montaggio in rack. Questo amplificatore è in grado di

alimentare fino a due subwoofer 100 IWSUB8 collegati in parallelo.

Condizioni di garanzia

In caso di problemi, rivolgersi al proprio rivenditore Focal.

La garanzia per la Francia su tutto il materiale Focal è di 2 anni non trasmissibile in caso di rivendita, a

decorrere dalla data di acquisto. L’eventuale materiale difettoso dovrà essere spedito a spese del cliente,

nella confezione originale, al rivenditore, il quale lo analizzerà e stabilirà la natura del guasto. Se in garanzia,

il materiale verrà restituito o sostituito “franco destino”. In caso contrario, verrà proposto un preventivo per

la riparazione.

La garanzia non copre i danni dovuti ad un uso improprio o ad un allacciamento non corretto.

Fuori dalla Francia, il materiale Focal è coperto da una garanzia le cui condizioni sono fissate a livello locale

dal distributore ufficiale Focal di ogni paese, d’accordo con le leggi vigenti sul territorio interessato.
