1. Introduction
This quick start guide describes the basic functions and operations of the balance.
The functions and operating procedures of the scale (FG-CWP series) are explained in details in
the following instruction manual.

This is an instruction manual for understanding and fully utilizing the water proof digital platform
scale FG-CWP series. This manual can be downloaded from our website https://www.aandd.jp.
2. Cautions
2.1. Precautions for Installing the Scale
□ Ground the scale, so that the user will not be subjected to an electric shock.
□ To prevent electric shock, do not handle the USB cable with wet hands.
□ The USB cable is not waterproof. Install the scale in an area where it will not get wet.
□ Do not install the scale where flammable or corrosive gas is present.
□ Do not put excessive force on cables.
□ The scale is heavy. Use caution, as lifting may cause it to fall over.
Consider the following installation conditions to get the greatest performance
from your scale.
□ The ideal conditions for installation are stable temperature and humidity, solid and level
surface, location with no draft or vibration, indoors out of direct sunlight and a stable power
supply.
□ Do not install on a soft floor or where there is vibration.
□ Do not install where there is wind or large fluctuations in temperature.
□ Avoid locations in direct sunlight.
□ Do not install in locations with strong magnetic fields or strong radio signals.
□ Do not install where static electricity is likely to occur. When humidity is 45% R.H. or less,
plastic and insulating materials are apt to be charged with static electricity due to friction, etc.
□ Unstable AC power supply may cause malfunctions.
□ Remove the protective film from the weighing pan before use.
□ Sensitivity adjustment should be performed for more accurate weighing when the scale is first
installed or when it is moved far. Refer to the [Instruction Manual: FG-CWP Series] on our
website https://www.aandd.jp.
2.2. Precautions for Storing
□ Do not disassemble the scale.
□ If the scale becomes dirty, wipe it with a soft cloth slightly moistened with a mild detergent.
Do not use organic solvents.
□ Do not scrub with a brush or the like.
□ Do not spray with strong jets of water.

2.3. Precautions for Weighing
□ Do not place loads on the weighing pan that exceed the weighing capacity.
□ Periodic sensitivity adjustment is recommended in order to maintain accurate weighing.

□ Do not apply shock to or drop anything on the weighing pan.
□ Do not use a sharp instrument such as a pencil or pen to press keys or switches.
□ Press the ZERO key before each weighing to reduce the chance of error.
□ Do not weigh with the scale immersed in water.
□ Periodically confirm that weighing values are correct.
□ The panel on the rear of the display unit should be kept closed when using the scale in
order to make it dustproof and waterproof.

4.1. Display and Symbols
Display Unit
Display/symbol Description
STABLE
〇
This is lit when the weighing value is stable, indicating that the scale is in
the proper condition for reading weighing values.
NET This is lit when weight of the container (tare) is subtracted.
ZERO This is lit when the scale is at the zero point (reference point for weighing).
Weighing Units “kg”, “g”, “pcs”, “oz” and “lb” is lit.
Note: “g” is only used with the FG-30KCMWP.
This is lit when the display is held.
This is a function to detect impact to the mass sensor section and to
display the impact level.
Turns on when the connection with the wireless communication receiver is
established.
While the comparator function is being used, the weighing value is
compared using the preset threshold values and the indicator displays the
result.

4.2. Operation Keys
Operation key Description
ON/OFF Key
Shows or hides the display.
SAMPLE Key
Selecting “pcs” as the unit activates individual weight setting mode.
Pressing and holding activates comparator threshold setting mode.
PRINT Key
Outputs the weighing value as data.
MODE Key
Switches the weighing unit.
ZERO Key
Based on the zero point weighed at the time of turning on the display, by
pressing the ZERO key when the weight value is stable within ±2% of the
weighing capacity, the zero point indicator turns on as soon as the display
becomes zero.
TARE Key
The weight of the item on the weighing pan is subtracted as the weight of
a container (tare weight).
5. Setup
1. Take the base unit and the pole out of the
packing box while being careful not to pull the
load cell cable.
2. Remove the weighing pan from the base.
3. Assembling the pole
Temporarily remove the screws attached to the
bottom of the weighing base, and then fasten
the pole and base with the removed screws,
taking care that the load cell cable is not pinched.
Bundle and insert the excess load cell cable into
the pole from the display side.
4. Put the weighing pan on the base unit.
Remove the protective film from the pan before
use.

When using in a place where static electricity is likely
to be generated or in a wet place, join the grounding
wire to the protective grounding terminal (screw).
6. Maintenance
・Refer to “2. Cautions” regarding use.
・Refer to "6.2.Check Points Before Calling Maintenance Service" and corresponding mode for
displayed error code.
・Refer to the [FG-CWP Series Instruction Manual] on our website https://www.aandd.jp for sensitivity
adjustment.
・Periodically check the accuracy of weighing. Adjust the scale, if it is moved to another location or the
environment has changed.
6.1. Repair
Do not disassemble / assemble the scale without an authorized service engineer. Doing so may
cause an electric shock or damage to the scale, etc. In this case, repair is not covered under
warranty. Contact your local A&D dealer if your scale needs service or repair.
6.2. Check Points Before Calling Maintenance Service

Ce guide de démarrage rapide décrit les fonctions et les opérations de base de la balance.
Les fonctions et les procédures de fonctionnement de la balance (série FG-CWP) sont expliquées

Ce manuel d'instructions doit permettre de comprendre et d'exploiter pleinement la balance
numérique à plateforme numérique étanche de la série FG-CWP. Ce manuel peut être téléchargé

2. Précautions
2.1. Précautions d'installation de la balance
□ Mettre la balance à la terre afin de protéger l'utilisateur des chocs électriques.
□ Afin d'éviter les chocs électriques, ne pas manipuler le câble USB avec les mains mouillées.
□ Le câble USB n'est pas étanche. Installer la balance à un endroit à l'abri de l'eau.
□ Ne pas installer la balance dans un environnement exposé à des gaz inflammables ou corrosifs.
□ Ne pas soumettre les câbles à une force excessive.
□ La balance est lourde. Faire preuve de prudence lorsque la machine est soulevée, car elle
risque de basculer.
Tenir compte des conditions d'installation suivantes pour obtenir les
meilleures performances de la balance.
□ Dans l'idéal, installer la balance dans un endroit où la température et l'humidité sont stables,
sur une surface plane et solide, sans vibrations ni risque de décalage, en intérieur, à l'abri de
la lumière directe du soleil et avec une alimentation stable.
□ Ne pas installer sur un sol mou ou soumis à des vibrations.
□ Ne pas installer dans un endroit exposé au vent ou à d'importants changements de
température.
□ Éviter les endroits exposés à la lumière directe du soleil.
□ Ne pas installer dans des endroits exposés à de puissants champs magnétiques ou signaux
radio.
□ Ne pas installer dans des endroits susceptibles d'être exposés à de l'électricité statique.
Lorsque l'humidité est de 45 % HR ou moins, les matériaux plastique et d'isolation peuvent se
charger d'électricité statique en raison de la friction, etc.
□ Une alimentation CA instable risque de provoquer des dysfonctionnements.
□ Retirer le film de protection du plateau de la balance avant l'utilisation.
□ Régler la sensibilité pour un pesage plus précis lors de l'installation initiale de la balance ou
après un long transport. Se référer au [Manuel d'instructions : série FG-CWP] sur notre site

2.2. Précautions de stockage
□ Ne pas démonter la balance.
□ Si la balance est sale, l'essuyer à l'aide d'un chiffon doux légèrement humidifié avec un
détergent doux. Ne pas utiliser de solvants organiques.
□ Ne pas frotter avec une brosse ou objet similaire.
□ Ne pas projeter de puissants jets d'eau.
2.3. Précautions de pesage
□ Sur le plateau de la balance, placer uniquement des charges inférieures à la capacité de
pesage.
□ Il est recommandé de régler régulièrement la sensibilité pour assurer la précision du pesage.

□ Protéger le plateau de la balance des chocs et ne rien faire tomber dessus.
□ Ne pas utiliser d'objet pointu, par exemple un crayon ou un stylo, pour appuyer sur les
touches ou les commutateurs.
□ Appuyer sur la touche ZERO avant chaque pesage pour réduire le risque d'erreur.
□ Ne pas utiliser la balance si elle est en contact avec de l'eau.
□ Vérifier régulièrement que les valeurs de pesage sont correctes.

5. Configuration
1. Sortir le socle et le montant de l'emballage en
veillant à ne pas tirer sur le câble de la cellule
de charge.
2. Retirer le plateau du socle.
3. Assemblage du montant
Retirer temporairement les vis fixées sur le
dessous du socle de pesage, puis attacher le
montant et le socle avec les vis retirées, en
veillant à ne pas pincer le câble de la cellule de
charge. Regrouper et insérer l'excédent de
câble de la cellule de charge dans le montant
depuis le côté affichage.
4. Placer le plateau de la balance sur le socle.
Retirer le film de protection du plateau avant
l'utilisation.
Lors de l'utilisation dans un endroit où de l'électricité
statique est susceptible d'être générée ou dans un
endroit humide, raccorder le fil de terre à la borne
protectrice de mise à la terre (vis).

・Vérifier régulièrement la précision du pesage. Régler la balance si elle a été déplacée dans un

6.1. Réparation
Ne démonter/monter la balance qu'en présence d'un technicien de service agréé. Sinon,
l'utilisateur risque de subir un choc électrique ou d'endommager la balance, etc. Dans ce cas, la
garantie ne couvre pas la réparation. Contacter le distributeur A&D local si la balance a besoin d'un
entretien ou d'une réparation.
6.2. Points à vérifier avant de contacter le service de

2. Vorsichtshinweise
2.1. Vorsichtsmaßnahmen zum Installieren der Waage
□ Erden Sie die Waage, damit der Benutzer keinen Stromschlag erleidet.
□ Um Stromschläge zu vermeiden, fassen Sie das USB-Kabel nicht mit feuchten bzw. nassen
Händen an.
□ Das USB-Kabel ist nicht wasserdicht. Installieren Sie die Waage in einem Bereich, der
nicht nass wird.
□ Stellen Sie die Waage nicht in einer Umgebung auf, in der entzündliche oder ätzende Gase
auftreten.
□ Üben Sie keine übermäßige Kraft auf die Kabel aus.
□ Die Waage ist schwer. Seien Sie vorsichtig, da sie beim Hochheben umfallen kann.
Beachten Sie die folgenden Installationsbedingungen, um die bestmögliche
Leistung Ihrer Waage zu erzielen.
