SAFETY WARNINGS

Cordless Blower Safety Instructions

WARNING: Read all safety warnings and

all instructions. Failuretofollowthewarningsand

instructionsmayresultinelectricshock,reand/or

seriousinjury.

Save all warnings and instruc-

tions for future reference.

Training

1. Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar

with the controls and the correct use of the

blower.

2. Never allow children, persons with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities or

lack of experience and knowledge or people

unfamiliar with these instructions to use the

blower. Local regulations may restrict the age

of the operator.

3. Never operate the blower while people, espe-

cially children, or pets are nearby.

4. Keep in mind that the operator or user is

responsible for accidents or hazards occurring

to other people or their property.

Preparation

1. Always wear substantial footwear and long

trousers while operating the blower.

2. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery that

can be drawn into the air inlet. Keep long hair

away from the air inlets.

3. Always wear protective goggles to protect

your eyes from injury when using power tools.

The goggles must comply with ANSI Z87.1 in

the USA, EN 166 in Europe, or AS/NZS 1336

in Australia/New Zealand. In Australia/New

Zealand, it is legally required to wear a face

shield to protect your face, too.

It is an employer's responsibility to enforce

the use of appropriate safety protective equip-

ments by the tool operators and by other per-

sons in the immediate working area.

4. To prevent dust irritation the wearing of a face

mask is recommended.

5. While operating the machine, always wear

non-slip and protective footwear.Non-skid,

closed-toedsafetybootsandshoeswillreducethe

riskofinjury.

6. Use personal protective equipment. Always

wear eye protection.Protectiveequipmentsuch

asadustmask,non-skidsafetyshoes,hardhator

hearing protection used for appropriate conditions

willreducepersonalinjuries.

Operation

1. Switch o the blower and remove the battery

cartridge and make sure that all moving parts

have come to a complete stop

• whenever you leave the blower.

• before clearing blockages.

• before checking, cleaning or working on

the blower.

• if the blower starts to vibrate abnormally.

2. Operate the blower only in daylight or in good

articial light.

3. Do not overreach and keep proper balance and

footing at all times.

4. Always be sure of your footing on slopes.

5. Walk, never run.

6. Keep all cooling air inlets clear of debris.

7. Never blow debris in the direction of

bystanders.

8. Operate the blower in a recommended position

and on a rm surface.

9. Do not operate the blower at high places.

10. Never point the nozzle at anyone in the vicinity

when using the blower.

11. Never block suction inlet and/or blower outlet.

• Be careful not to block suction inlet or

blower outlet with dust or dirt when oper-

ating in dusty area.

• Do not use nozzles other than the nozzles

provided by Makita.

• Do not use the blower to inate balls,

rubber boat or the similar.

12. Do not operate the blower near open window,

etc.

13. Operating the blower only at reasonable hours

is recommended - not early in the morning or

late at night when people might be disturbed.

14. Using rakes and brooms to loosen debris

before blowing is recommended.

15. If the blower strikes any foreign objects or

should start making any unusual noise or

vibration, immediately switch o the blower

to stop it. Remove the battery cartridge from

the blower and inspect the blower for damage

before restarting and operating the blower. If

the blower is damaged, ask Makita Authorized

Service Centers for repair.

16. Do not insert ngers or other objects into

suction inlet or blower outlet.

17. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the

switch is in the o-position before inserting

battery cartridge, picking up or carrying the

blower. Carrying the blower with your nger

on the switch or energizing the blower that has

the switch on invites accidents.

18. Never blow dangerous materials, such as

nails, fragments of glass, or blades.

19. Do not operate the blower near ammable

materials.

20. Avoid operating the blower for a long time in

low temperature environment.

Maintenance and storage

1. Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure

the blower is in safe working condition.

2. If the parts are worn or damaged, replace them

with parts provided by Makita.

3. Store the blower in a dry place out of the reach

of children.

4. When you stop the blower for inspection, ser-

vicing, storage, or changing accessory, switch

o the blower and make sure that all moving

parts come to a complete stop, and remove the

battery cartridge. Cool down the blower before

making any work on the blower. Maintain the

blower with care and keep it clean.

5. Always cool down the blower before storing.

6. Do not expose the blower to rain. Store the

blower indoors.

7. When you lift the blower, be sure to bend your

knees and be careful not to hurt your back.

Battery tool use and care

1. Recharge only with the charger specied by

the manufacturer.Achargerthatissuitablefor

onetypeofbatterypackmaycreateariskofre

whenusedwithanotherbatterypack.

2. Use power tools only with specically desig-

nated battery packs.Useofanyotherbattery

packsmaycreateariskofinjuryandre.

3. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away

from other metal objects, like paper clips,

coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal

objects, that can make a connection from one

terminal to another.Shortingthebatterytermi-

nalstogethermaycauseburnsorare.

4. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be

ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If con-

tact accidentally occurs, ush with water. If

liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical

help.Liquidejectedfromthebatterymaycause

irritationorburns.

5. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is dam-

aged or modied.Damagedormodiedbatteries

mayexhibitunpredictablebehaviourresultingin

re,explosionorriskofinjury.

6. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to re or

excessive temperature.Exposuretoreortem-

peratureabove130°Cmaycauseexplosion.

7. Follow all charging instructions and do not

charge the battery pack or tool outside the

temperature range specied in the instruc-

tions.Chargingimproperlyorattemperatures

outsidethespeciedrangemaydamagethe

batteryandincreasetheriskofre.

Electrical and battery safety

1. Do not dispose of the battery(ies) in a re.

Thecellmayexplode.Checkwithlocalcodesfor

possiblespecialdisposalinstructions.

2. Do not open or mutilate the battery(ies).

Releasedelectrolyteiscorrosiveandmaycause

damagetotheeyesorskin.Itmaybetoxicif

swallowed.

3. Do not charge battery in rain, or in wet

locations.

4. Do not charge the battery outdoors.

5. Do not handle charger, including charger plug,

and charger terminals with wet hands.

Service

1. Have your power tool serviced by a qualied

repair person using only identical replacement

parts.Thiswillensurethatthesafetyofthepower

tool is maintained.

2. Never service damaged battery packs.Service

ofbatterypacksshouldonlybeperformedbythe

manufacturer or authorized service providers.

Important safety instructions for

battery cartridge

1. Before using battery cartridge, read all instruc-

tions and cautionary markings on (1) battery

charger, (2) battery, and (3) product using

battery.

2. Do not disassemble or tamper with the battery

cartridge.Itmayresultinare,excessiveheat,

or explosion.

3. If operating time has become excessively

shorter, stop operating immediately. It may

result in a risk of overheating, possible burns

and even an explosion.

4. If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse them

out with clear water and seek medical atten-

tion right away. It may result in loss of your

eyesight.

5. Do not short the battery cartridge:

(1) Do not touch the terminals with any con-

ductive material.

(2) Avoid storing battery cartridge in a con-

tainer with other metal objects such as

nails, coins, etc.

(3) Do not expose battery cartridge to water

or rain.

A battery short can cause a large current

ow, overheating, possible burns and even a

breakdown.

6. Do not store and use the tool and battery car-

tridge in locations where the temperature may

reach or exceed 50 °C (122 °F).

7. Do not incinerate the battery cartridge even if

it is severely damaged or is completely worn

out. The battery cartridge can explode in a re.

8. Do not nail, cut, crush, throw, drop the battery

cartridge, or hit against a hard object to the

battery cartridge.Suchconductmayresultina

re,excessiveheat,orexplosion.

9. Do not use a damaged battery.

10. The contained lithium-ion batteries are subject

to the Dangerous Goods Legislation require-

ments.

Forcommercialtransportse.g.bythirdparties,

forwardingagents,specialrequirementonpack-

agingandlabelingmustbeobserved.

Forpreparationoftheitembeingshipped,consult-

ing an expert for hazardous material is required.

Pleasealsoobservepossiblymoredetailed

national regulations.

Tapeormaskoopencontactsandpackupthe

batteryinsuchamannerthatitcannotmove

around in the packaging.

11. When disposing the battery cartridge, remove

it from the tool and dispose of it in a safe

place. Follow your local regulations relating to

disposal of battery.

12. Use the batteries only with the products

specied by Makita.Installingthebatteriesto

non-compliantproductsmayresultinare,exces-

siveheat,explosion,orleakofelectrolyte.

13. If the tool is not used for a long period of time,

the battery must be removed from the tool.

14. During and after use, the battery cartridge may

take on heat which can cause burns or low

temperature burns. Pay attention to the han-

dling of hot battery cartridges.

15. Do not touch the terminal of the tool imme-

diately after use as it may get hot enough to

cause burns.

16. Do not allow chips, dust, or soil stuck into the

terminals, holes, and grooves of the battery

cartridge.Itmaycauseheating,catchingre,

burstandmalfunctionofthetoolorbatterycar-

tridge,resultinginburnsorpersonalinjury.

17. Unless the tool supports the use near

high-voltage electrical power lines, do not use

the battery cartridge near high-voltage electri-

cal power lines.Itmayresultinamalfunctionor

breakdownofthetoolorbatterycartridge.

18. Keep the battery away from children.

CAUTION: Only use genuine Makita batteries.

Useofnon-genuineMakitabatteries,orbatteriesthat

havebeenaltered,mayresultinthebatterybursting

causingres,personalinjuryanddamage.Itwill

alsovoidtheMakitawarrantyfortheMakitatooland

charger.

Tips for maintaining maximum

battery life

1. Charge the battery cartridge before completely

discharged. Always stop tool operation and

charge the battery cartridge when you notice

less tool power.

2. Never recharge a fully charged battery car-

tridge. Overcharging shortens the battery

service life.

3. Charge the battery cartridge with room tem-

perature at 10 °C - 40 °C (50 °F - 104 °F). Let

a hot battery cartridge cool down before

charging it.

4. When not using the battery cartridge, remove

it from the tool or the charger.

5. Charge the battery cartridge if you do not use

it for a long period (more than six months).

CAUTION: Always be sure that the machine is

switched o and the battery cartridge is removed

before carrying out any work on the machine.

Installing the front nozzle

1. Loosen2screwswiththehexwrench,andthen

pullthescrewsalltheway.

attach the front nozzle to the machine.

Installing the gutter nozzle

Thegutternozzlecanbeinstalledontheblower.The

adapterpipedesignedexclusivelyforthismodelis

required to install the gutter nozzle.

Attaching the shoulder strap

Optional accessory

CAUTION: Be sure to attach the hooks of

the shoulder strap to the machine securely. If the

hooksareattachedincompletely,theymaycomeo

andcauseaninjury.

CAUTION: Be sure to use the shoulder strap

dedicated to this machine. Using other shoulder

strapmaycauseaninjury.

CAUTION: When you use the machine in com-

bination of the backpack-type power supply such

as portable power pack, do not use the shoulder

strap included in the machine package.

Ifyouputontheshoulderstrapincludedinthe

machine package and the shoulder harness of the

backpack-typepowersupplyatthesametime,

removingthemachineorbackpack-typepowersup-

plyisdicultincaseofanemergency,anditmay

causeanaccidentorinjury.

Attach the hooks of the shoulder strap to the machine

asshowninthegure.

CAUTION: Always install the battery cartridge

fully until the red indicator cannot be seen.Ifnot,

itmayaccidentallyfalloutofthemachine,causing

injurytoyouorsomeonearoundyou.

CAUTION: Do not install the battery cartridge

forcibly.Ifthecartridgedoesnotslideineasily,itis

notbeinginsertedcorrectly.

Toremovethebatterycartridge,slideitfromthe

machinewhileslidingthebuttononthefrontofthe

cartridge.

Toinstallthebatterycartridge,alignthetongueonthe

batterycartridgewiththegrooveinthehousingandslip

itintoplace.Insertitallthewayuntilitlocksinplace

withalittleclick.Ifyoucanseetheredindicatoronthe

uppersideofthebutton,itisnotlockedcompletely.

Machine/battery protection system

Themachineisequippedwithamachine/battery

protectionsystem.Thissystemautomaticallycutso

powertothemotortoextendmachineandbatterylife.

Themachinewillautomaticallystopduringoperationif

themachineorbatteryisplacedunderoneofthefol-

lowing conditions:

Overload protection

Whenthemachineorbatteryisoperatedinamanner

thatcausesittodrawanabnormallyhighcurrent,the

machineautomaticallystopswithoutanyindication.In

thissituation,turnthemachineoandstoptheappli-

cationthatcausedthemachinetobecomeoverloaded.

Thenturnthemachineontorestart.

Overheat protection

Whenthemachineorbatteryisoverheated,the

machinestopsautomatically.Inthiscase,letthe

machineandbatterycoolbeforeturningthemachine

on again.

Overdischarge protection

Whenthebatterycapacityisnotenough,themachine

stopsautomatically.Inthiscase,removethebattery

fromthemachineandchargethebattery.

Switch action

WARNING: Before installing the battery car-

tridge into the machine, always check to see that

the switch trigger actuates properly and returns

to the “OFF” position when released.

Tostartthemachine,simplypulltheswitchtrigger.The

speedincreasesbyincreasingpressureontheswitch

trigger. Release the switch trigger to stop.

Cruise control function

Thecruisecontrolfunctionallowstheoperatortomain-

tainaconstantspeedwithoutpullingthetrigger.To

increasethespeed,turnthecontrolleverforward.To

decreasethespeed,turnthecontrolleverbackward.

Accidental re-start preventive

function

Evenifyouinstallthebatterycartridgewhilepullingthe

switchtrigger,themachinedoesnotstart.Tostartthe

machine,rstreleasetheswitchtriggerandreturnthe

controlleverfully,andthenpulltheswitchtrigger.

OPERATION

CAUTION: Do not place the machine on the

ground while it is switched on.Sandordustmay

enter from suction inlet and cause a malfunction or

personalinjury.

Holdthemachinermlywithahandandperformthe

blowingoperationbymovingitaroundslowly.When

blowingaroundbuilding,bigstoneorvehicle,directthe

nozzleawayfromthem.Whenperforminganoperation

inacorner,startfromthecornerandthenmovetowide

area.

Remove dust or dirt from the suction inlet at the rear of

the machine.

本机器配备有机器／电池保护系统。该系统

可自动切断电机电源以延长机器和电池寿

命。作业时，如果机器或电池处于以下任一

情况时，工具将会自动停止运转：

过载保护

以导致异常高电流的方式操作机器或电池

时，机器会自动停止运转，指示灯不闪烁。

在这种情况下，请关闭机器并停止导致机器

过载的应用程序。然后开启机器重新启动。

过热保护

机器或电池过热时会自动停止。在这种情况

下，请待机器和电池冷却后再开启机器。

过放电保护

电池电量不足时，本机器自动停止运转。此

时，请取出机器中的电池并予以充电。

开关操作

警告：在将电池组安装至机器之前，请

务必检查开关扳机是否能扣动自如，松开时

Pengoperasian

1. Matikan blower dan lepaskan kartrid baterai

dan pastikan semua bagian yang bergerak

telah berhenti sepenuhnya

• saat Anda meninggalkan blower.

• sebelum membersihkan sumbatan.

• sebelum memeriksa, membersihkan atau

menggunakan blower.

• jika blower mulai bergetar secara tidak

normal.

2. Gunakan blower hanya di siang hari atau

dalam kondisi cahaya yang mencukupi.

3. Jangan meraih terlalu jauh dan jagalah pijakan

dan keseimbangan sepanjang waktu.

4. Pastikan pijakan Anda sempurna saat berdiri

di area miring.

5. Berjalanlah, jangan berlari.

6. Jauhkan semua inlet udara pendingin dari

serpihan.

7. Jangan pernah meniupkan serpihan ke arah

orang di sekitar.

8. Gunakan blower dalam posisi yang disarankan

dan pada permukaan yang kokoh.

9. Jangan mengoperasikan blower di tempat

yang tinggi.

10. Jangan mengarahkan nosel kepada siapa

pun dalam jarak jangkau saat menggunakan

blower.

11. Jangan menghalangi inlet pengisap dan/atau

outlet blower.

• Berhati-hatilah agar inlet pengisap atau

outlet blower tidak tersumbat oleh debu

atau kotoran saat mengoperasikan di

area berdebu.

• Jangan gunakan nosel selain yang

disediakan oleh Makita.

• Jangan menggunakan blower untuk

meniup bola, perahu karet atau benda

sejenisnya.

12. Jangan menggunakan blower di dekat jendela

yang terbuka, dll.

13. Disarankan menggunakan blower pada waktu

yang wajar - bukan pada pagi hari atau larut

malam yang mungkin dapat mengganggu

orang.

14. Disarankan menggunakan garu dan sapu

untuk membersihkan kotoran dari tanah

sebelum menggunakan blower.

15. Jika blower meniup benda asing atau

mengeluarkan suara atau getaran aneh,

segera matikan blower. Lepaskan kartrid

baterai dari blower dan periksa apakah ada

kerusakan sebelum kembali menyalakan dan

menggunakan blower. Jika blower rusak,

hubungi Pusat Layanan Resmi Makita untuk

16. Jangan memasukkan jari atau benda lain ke

dalam inlet pengisap atau outlet blower.

17. Cegah penyalaan yang tidak disengaja.

Pastikan bahwa sakelar berada dalam posisi

o sebelum memasukkan kartrid baterai, atau

mengangkat atau membawa blower. Membawa

blower dengan jari berada di sakelar atau

mengalirkan listrik pada mesin listrik dengan

sakelar hidup dapat memicu kecelakaan.

18. Jangan pernah meniup bahan berbahaya,

seperti paku, pecahan kaca, atau mata pisau.

Perawatan dan penyimpanan

3. Simpan di tempat yang kering jauh dari

menekuk lutut dan berhati-hati agar tidak

mencederai punggung.

Penggunaan dan pemeliharaan mesin bertenaga

baterai

1. Isi ulang baterai hanya dengan pengisi daya

yang ditentukan oleh pabrikan.Pengisidaya

yangcocokuntuksatujenispaketbateraidapat

menimbulkanrisikokebakaranketikadigunakan

untukpaketbateraiyanglain.

2. Gunakan mesin listrik hanya dengan

paket baterai yang telah ditentukan secara

khusus.Penggunaanpaketbaterailaindapat

menimbulkanrisikocederadankebakaran.

3. Ketika paket baterai tidak digunakan, jauhkan

dari benda logam lain, seperti penjepit

kertas, uang logam, kunci, paku, sekrup

atau benda logam kecil lainnya, yang dapat

menghubungkan satu terminal ke terminal

lain.Hubungansingkatterminalbateraidapat

menyebabkanlukabakarataukebakaran.

4. Pemakaian yang salah, dapat menyebabkan

keluarnya cairan dari baterai; hindari kontak.

Jika terjadi kontak secara tidak sengaja, bilas

dengan air. Jika cairan mengenai mata, cari

bantuan medis.Cairanyangkeluardaribaterai

kebakaran.
