CRIMPING TOOL P-743
Lubricate the hinge and the moving parts
periodically to prevent wear and prolong their life
span. Wear of the moving parts could cause an
incomplete crimp.
Daily care
Precautions
1. Do not use on energized places.
2. Do not take apart or not re-model the ratchet
mechanism.
Warning
The ratchet mechanism does not allow the
handles to release unless crimping is
completed.
Operation
1 Squeeze the handles until they are opened
automatically to release the ratchet mechanism.
2 Put a terminal in the cavity of the tool and
squeeze the handles a little to hold the terminal.
The table is just a reference. Always decide the
cavity confirming standards of the terminal’s
manufacturer. Carry out crimping inspection and
confirmation for crimping performance.
Wear of the cavities could cause an incomplete
crimp. Carry out crimping inspection and
confirmation for crimping performance periodically.
Selecting the cavity
Decide the cavity to be used considering the
combination of the terminal and wire to be crimped
referring the table below.
This tool can be used for both the straight type
and the tube expansion type terminals.
Straight Tube expansion
1. Do not use for other than specified.
2. We are not responsible for any unexpected
contingencies due to incomplete crimp.
3. Carry out periodic inspection to prevent
incomplete crimp.
Caution
3 Insert the stripped wire into the terminal.
4 Squeeze the handles until the ratchet becomes
free.
5 After crimping completion, the cavity No. is
embossed on the terminal. Make sure the No.
*If put the terminal in the wrong direction, this
could not complete the crimp.
