FLEXIBLE COUPLING
Alignment adjustment
Precautions
Flexible couplings may produce vibration when the permissible value for misalignment is exceeded. This may dramatically short-
en the coupling’s service life as well.
Alignment adjustment is required so that misalignment will be less than the permissible value shown in the table below.
●
Misalignment exceeding the permissible value may short-
en the coupling’s service life. Also, it may cause damage
to the gearhead and shorter service life of the bearing.
Please make sure to adjust alignment so that misalignment
is less than the permissible value.
●
When the coupling emits a sound (metallic sound) during
operation, stop operation immediately and ensure that there
is no misalignment, axis interference or loose screws.
●
Put adhesive or the like around the clamping screws to pre-
vent them from loosening. Fasten the clamping screws with
at least the torque shown in the following table.
