Before operating the unit, please read this manual
thoroughly and retain it for future reference.
Features
•Small, light and fashionable design.
•Enjoy powerful bass sound with the MEGA BASS chip.
Precautions
•Do not open the unit. Refer servicing to qualified
personnel only.
•Operate the unit only on 1.5 V DC.
For battery operation, use one LR03 (size AAA) battery.
•Avoid exposure to temperature extremes, direct
sunlight, moisture, sand, dust or mechanical shock.
Never leave in a car parked in the sun.
•Should any solid object or liquid fall into the unit,
remove the battery, and have the unit checked by
qualified personnel before operating it any further.
•When the casing become soiled, clean it with a soft cloth
dampened with a mild detergent solution. Never use
abrasive cleansers or chemical solvents, as they may
mar the casing.
•In vehicles or in buildings, radio reception may be
difficult or noisy. Try listening near a window.
Notes on Battery
•Insert the battery with correct polarity.
•The battery can not be charged.
•Remove the battery when the unit will not be used for a
long time.
•Should any battery leakage occur, wipe the battery case
well and install new battery.

Installing Battery (See Fig.A)
1 Open the lid of the battery case.
2 Insert the battery with correct polarity.
3 Close the lid.

When to replace battery
When the sound becomes weak or distorted, replace the
battery with a new one.
Note
When the unit is not to be used for a long period of time, remove
the battery to avoid damage caused by battery leakage and
corrosion.
When Listening to the Radio
FM (see Fig. B-a): Extend the headphones cord, the
aerial, for better reception.
AM (see Fig. B-b): Rotate the unit horizontally for
optimum reception.
If FM reception is weak or contains noise, switch FM
(ST/MONO) to MONO. Reception changes to
monaural but will include less noise.
In vehicles or in buildings, radio reception may be
poor. Try listening near a window.
Operating the Radio (See Fig. C)
1 Set ON/OFF/MEGA BASS to ON to turn on the
radio.
2 Select FM or AM with FM (ST/MONO)/AM.
3 Tune in to the desired station using TUNING.
4 Adjust VOL (volume).
To turn off the radio
Set ON/OFF to OFF.
To enjoy powerful bass sound
Set ON/OFF/MEGA BASS to MEGA BASS to emphasize
bass sound.
Notes on Headphones
Road safety
Do not use headphones while driving, cycling, or
operating any motorized vehicle. It may create a traffic
hazard and is illegal in many areas. It can also be
potentially dangerous to play your headphones at high
volume while walking, especially at pedestrian crossings.
You should exercise extreme caution or discontinue use
in potentially hazardous situations.
Preventing hearing damage
Avoid using headphones at high volume.
Hearing experts advise against continuous, loud and
extended play. If you experience a ringing in your ears,
reduce volume or discontinue use.
Caring for others
Keep the volume at a moderate level. This will allow you
to hear outside sounds and to be considerate to people
around you.
If the supplied headphones do not fit your
ear
Attach the supplied ear pad to the headphones.
