1For safety use
1Read this part "For Safety Use" with care
before operation.
2Following cautions must be obeyed.
Symbol and meaning is the following.
The safety alert symbol
This symbol means Attention! become
alert! Your safety is involved. Take
preventive measures in this manual and
performing "safety use and appropriate
management."
Signal Words
Signal word is index for ensure against
danger for human or you should know the
item of the handling the tool. The signal
words are "Danger", "Warning" and
"Caution" according to the level of danger.
These are used with the symbol for the
attention. Their meaning is the following.
Danger
Failure to follow warning instructions could
result in severe injury or death to operator.
Warning
Potential danger for serious injury.
Caution
A caution indicates special precautions that
must be taken to avoid damage to the
instrument.
"Note"
Provide key information to make procedures
easier or clearer.
Warning
Do not use the tool in the place
where generated ignitable gas or
vapour.
Do not remove cover, disassemble
or modify the tool.
Safety is spoiled and it becomes the cause of
a fall of a function.

Caution
Avoid use and storage in a humid
place, a dusty place, the place
where a possibility of entering into
apparatus has water, the intense
place of vibration and an unstable
place.
Do not insert any metal or flammable
materials, and not drop.
Do not get or put things on the
apparatus.

Features
Designed for multiple purposes, such as
checking cap tightness, tightening torque
test, measuring output torque of rotary
resistance, measurement of spring force
and various strength tests.
Universal built-in clamping fixture allows
for a wide variety of parts to be easily
checked.
Portable type without fixing the base with
bolts.
-S models provide easy reading maximum
value with memory pointer on the dial
face.

1Pointer
Point a measured torque value.
2Table
A center of a measuring object sets so that it
may be put on the middle of a table.
3Saddle
With four rubber chuck, a measuring object
should be hold firmly.
4Rubber Chuck
Movable rubber chucks.
5Chucking Knob
Fix or remove a measuring object.
6Screw
7Zero Adjusting Knob
Adjust the pointer to zero when no load.
8Memory Pointer for C.C.W. (Only TM-S)
Pointer points maximum value when applying
C.C.W. torque

Pointer points maximum value for C.W.
10 Resetting Lever (Only TM-S)
Lever for resetting memory pointer.

5Operation
1Set the TM on the horizontal place.
2Insert each rubber chuck to saddle based
on a measuring object.
3Fixing the measuring object by turning
chucking knob.
4Adjust a pointer to zero by turning zero
adjustment knob.
5Regarding to "-S" w/memory pointer model,
reset both pointers near zero by sliding
lever left and right slowly.
6Turning measuring object to desired
direction. The torque value is shown.
7Remove measuring object from the table.
