z タッチパネルの汚れがひどい場合には、アルコールをご使用ください。シンナー、アンモニア、強
塩化系の溶剤はタッチパネルを傷めます。
z 輸送される場合には、振動や衝撃が直接本体に加わらないように充分対策を講じてください。

z 起動途中に本体の電源を切らないでください。起動不良が発生した場合、販売店または当社各支店・
営業所までお問い合わせ下さい。
z 本体の電源は、データの破損を防ぐため、必ず OS 終了後に切ってください。
IPC
ご使用上の注意
本書はお手元の IPC を安全に末永くご使用いただくために、守っていただきたい事項を示しています。ご使用前
に必ずお読みください。
ハードディスクドライブ使用上の注意
【24 時間連続稼動、連続通電について】
弊社で取り扱っておりますハードディスクドライブ（HDD）は、24 時間連続稼動、連続通電でのご使
用を保証しておりません。一般的に 24 時間稼動すると下記の症状が発生することがあります。
z システム（OS）が起動しない。
z Windows がハングアップする。（ブルースクリーン状態）
z 動作が著しく遅くなる。
z 勝手に再起動が起こる。
z キーボード、マウス、タッチパネルでの操作ができなくなる。
（ユーザ側のシステムにより、発生する症状は異なります。）
電源投入時の注意
z 電源スイッチを一度「OFF」にしたときは、30 秒以上経ってから「ON」にしてください。
z ホスト PC（BOX-PC、Panel-PC、SBC）に接続したディスプレイの電源投入タイミングによって
は正常に画面表示できない場合があります。ホスト PC より先にディスプレイの電源を投入してく
ださい。
z USB 機器の中には、ホスト PC（BOX-PC、Panel-PC、SBC）の電源 OFF 時に接続ケーブルを通
じてホスト PC へ電流が逆流するものがあります。このような機器を接続した場合、5V 電源が完
全に OFF 出来ないためホスト PC が起動できなくなることがあります。この場合には、一旦 USB
機器を取り外し電源投入後に再度接続を行ってください。（USB 機器をブート装置として使用する
場合には機器検出が行われる前に接続してください）

火災や感電の原因となります。
z 不安定な場所への設置や不完全な取り付けはしないでください。落下事故の原因となります。
z 規定の電源電圧でご使用ください。 規定外の電源電圧を供給されますと火災や感電の原因となりま
す。
z ユーザ側での分解、改造や部品の交換をしないでください。感電、火災、故障の原因となります。
また、ユーザ側にて改造されたものに対しては修理に応じられない場合があります。寿命や故障で
部品の交換が必要な場合には、当社総合インフォメーションまでご連絡ください。
z 電源ケーブルの取り付け、取り外しは必ず電源が供給されていないことを確認してから行ってくだ
さい。
z 本製品は航空、宇宙、原子力、医療機器など高度な信頼性が必要な用途への使用を想定していませ
ん。これらの用途には使用しないでください。
z 本製品を列車、自動車、防災防犯装置など安全性に関わる用途にご使用の場合、お買い求めの販売
店または当社総合インフォメーションにご相談ください。
z 人命または重大な損害を伴う恐れのある処理を、タッチパネルによる操作で行わないでください。
また、誤った入力操作に対応できるシステム設計をお願いします。

z ボードやコネクタの着脱およびジャンパ、スイッチ等のハードウェア設定を行う場合には、必ず電
源スイッチが OFF となっていることを確認してください。
z 規定の動作環境（温度、湿度、振動、衝撃） 内でご使用ください。仕様の範囲を超える高温下や低
温下、または温度変化の激しい場所での使用および保管はしないでください。
例 ・直射日光の当たる場所 ・熱源の近く
z 極端に湿気の多い場所や、ほこりの多い場所での使用および保管はしないでください。内部に水や
液状のもの、導電性の塵が入った状態で使用すると非常に危険です。このような環境で使用すると
きは、防塵構造の制御パネル等に設置するようにしてください。
z 強い磁気や雑音を発生する装置の近くで使用しないでください。本製品が誤動作する原因となりま
す。
z 薬品が発散している空気中や､薬品にふれる場所での使用および保管は避けてください。
z 筐体の汚れは、柔らかい布に水または中性洗剤を含ませて軽く拭いてください。ベンジン、シンナ
ーなど発揮性のものや薬品を用いて拭いたりしますと、塗装の剥離や変色の原因となります。
z 通気孔のある機器では通気孔をふさぐような設置をしないでください。内部に熱がこもり、誤動作
や故障の原因となります。また設置方向に制限がある機器が有りますので各解説書を参照の上正し
く設置してください。
PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE OPERATION
Be sure to read the following warnings carefully, to ensure the safety and longevity of your IPC
equipment.
WARNING
Failure to observe the following precautions, or improper use of this equipment may result in death or
serious injury.
z Do not use where combustible or corrosive gases are present. This may cause explosion, fire, electrical shock
or equipment failure.
z In care of abnormal operation (smoke, unusual odor or sound), immediately turn the power switch off, unplug
the power supply from the socket, and inform CONTEC. Using equipment in this condition may cause fire or
electrical shock.
z To avoid danger of electrical shock or burns, never remove the screws or covers from any other that specified
locations.
z Do not touch the power switch or plug with wet hands. This presents danger of electrical shock.
z Be careful that foreign objects (metal scraps, flammable items, liquids etc.) do not enter the equipment
through ventilation slots or other openings. This can lead to fire or electrical shock.
z Avoid installation in unstable areas, or incomplete installation. This can lead to damage from falls.
z Always use this equipment at the designated voltage. Use with power supplies outside the designated
voltage may cause fire or electrical shock.
z Users should not attempt to disassemble or modify this equipment, or to replace components. The
manufacturer may not be able to provide service for equipment that has been modified by the user. If worn
out or broken components must be replaced, notify your CONTEC.
z Always check that the power supply is turned off before connecting or disconnecting power cables.
z This product is not intended for use in aerospace, space, nuclear power, medical equipment, or other
applications that require a very high level of reliability. Do not use the product in such applications.
z If using this product in applications where safety is critical such as in railways, automotive, or disaster
prevention or security systems, please contact your retailer.
z Operations involving potential risk of life or serious injury should not be attempted from the touch panel.
Systems involving such operations should be designed to protect against input error.
CAUTION

z Always verify that the power switch is turned OFF before installing or removing boards or connectors, or
making switch, jumper, or other hardware settings.
z Be sure that this equipment is used only in the designated operating environment (with respect to
temperature, humidity, vibration, shock).
Do not use or store this product in a location exposed to high or low temperature that exceeds range of
specification or susceptible to rapid temperature changes.
Example: - Exposure to direct sun
- In the vicinity of a heat source
z Do not use this product in extremely humid or dusty locations. It is extremely dangerous to use this
product with its interior penetrated by water or any other fluid or conductive dust. If this product must
be used in such an environment, install it on a dust-proof control panel, for example.
z Do not use this product in the vicinity of devices that generate strong magnetic force or noise. Such
products will cause this product to malfunction.
z Do not use or store this product in the presence of chemicals.
z To clean the case, wipe it gently with a soft cloth dampened with either water or mild detergent. Do not
use chemicals or a volatile solvent, such as benzene or thinner, to prevent pealing or discoloration of the
paint.
z When installing, be careful not to block the air hole. Otherwise, heat remains inside and this cause a
malfunction or trouble. Installation direction are limited in some devices. For more details on this, refer
to each manual.
z Avoid installing this equipment in any way that obstructs the ventilation slots. This can cause heat to
build up inside, leading to abnormal operation or failure.
z Avoid contacting the touch panel with sharp objects or any kind. This can cause damage or abnormal
operation.
z Protect the touch panel from physical shock. This can damage the panel.
z Dirt or other substances on the touch panel should be removed with alcohol. Thinners, ammonia or
chlorinated solvents may damage the touch panel. In especially dirty environments, place a protective
sheet (optional) over the panel.
z When transporting this equipment, take sufficient care to protect it against direct vibration and physical
shock. The physical shock limit is 10G (11ms) or less.
z Please do not turn off the power of the main body in the process of boot..
z To prevent corruption of files, always shutdown the OS before turning off this product.
The caution on Hard Disk Drive use
[About 24-hour continuation operation and continuation power]
The hard disk drive (HDD) currently dealt with by our company has not guaranteed continuation
operation and use by continuation power for 24 hours. Generally, when it works for 24 hours, the
following condition may generate HDD.
- A system (OS) does not start.
- Windows hangs-up. (Blue screen state)
- Operation becomes remarkably slow.
- A reboot takes place freely.
- Operation with a keyboard, a mouse, and a touch panel becomes impossible.
(This condition to generate changes with a user’s system.)
The caution turned on power supply
z When you turned the power switch off, wait for another 5 or more seconds, then turn it on.
z This product may not display in screen correctly due to the power on timing of display connected to the
host PC (BOX-PC, Panel-PC, SBC) Turn on the power to the display before turning on the host PC.
z In some USB devices, current flows backward to PC through the connection cable when turning the
host PC (BOX-PC, Panel-PC, SBC) off. If you connect those devices, 5V power is not fully turned off so
that the host PC may not be started. In such cases, connect it again after having detached the USB
device and turned the power on.
(When you use the USB device as the boot one, connect it before detecting the device.)
