WARNING

Do not attempt to repair the unit, or replace parts
within it (except when this manual provides specic
instructions directing you to do so). Refer all
servicing to your retailer, the nearest Roland Service
Center, or an authorized Roland distributor, as listed
on the “Information page.
Do not use or store in the following types of locations
Subject to temperature extremes (e.g., direct
sunlight in an enclosed vehicle, near a heating
duct, on top of heat-generating equipment); or are
Damp (e.g., baths, washrooms, on wet oors); or are
Exposed to steam or smoke; or are
Subject to salt exposure; or are
Humid; or are
Exposed to rain; or are
Dusty or sandy; or are
Subject to high levels of vibration and shakiness.
WARNING
Do not allow foreign objects to enter the unit or liquids to
contact the unit
Never allow foreign objects to enter the unit, or
liquids (such as water or juice) to contact the unit.
Adults must provide supervision in places where children
are present
When using the unit in locations where children are
present, be careful so no mishandling of the unit
can take place. An adult should always be on hand
to provide supervision and guidance.

Never step on the unit or place heavy objects on it.

Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, place
it near devices that radiate heat, leave it inside
an enclosed vehicle, or otherwise subject it to
temperature extremes. Excessive heat can deform
or discolor the unit.
When moved from one location to another where
the temperature and/or humidity is very dierent,
water droplets (condensation) may form inside
the unit. Damage or malfunction may result if
you attempt to use the unit in this condition.
Therefore, before using the unit, you must allow it
to stand for several hours, until the condensation
has completely evaporated.
Swiftly wipe away any liquid that spills on the unit
using a dry, soft cloth.
Use a reasonable amount of care when using
the unit’s connector. Rough handling can lead to
malfunctions.
Carefully insert the unit all the way in—until it is
rmly in place.
Never touch the terminals of the unit. Also, avoid
getting the terminals dirty.
This product is constructed using precision
components; handle the product carefully, paying
particular note to the following.
To prevent damage to the cards from static
electricity, be sure to discharge any static
electricity from your own body before handling
the products.
Do not touch or allow metal to come into
contact with the contact portion of the
products.
Do not bend, drop, or subject products to
strong shock or vibration.
Do not allow products to become wet.
Do not disassemble or modify the products.
Caution regarding radio frequency emissions
The following actions may subject you to penalty of law.
Disassembling or modifying this device.
Removing the certication label axed to the back of
this device.
Do not use this device in a hospital.
Doing so may cause medical equipment to malfunction.
Do not use this device in an airplane.
Doing so may cause the airplane’s instruments to malfunction.
Do not use this device closer than 22 cm (8-11/16 inches)
from where a cardiac pacemaker is implanted.
Doing so may aect the operation of the cardiac pacemaker.
