– To prevent the ingredients from splash-
ing, do not press the On button until the
blender foot has been immersed in the
ingredients.
– Always switch off the hand blender
before taking it out of the ingredients.
Care and daily cleaning
The appliance must be thoroughly cleaned
after each use.
W Warning
Risk of electric shock!
– Disconnect the power cord from the
socket prior to cleaning.
– Never immerse the base unit in liquids
and do not clean in the dishwasher.
Attention!
– Do not use any cleaning agents
containing alcohol or spirits.
– Do not use any sharp, pointed or metal
objects.
– Do not use abrasive cloths or cleaning
agents.
■ Disconnect the base unit and the
accessory parts from one another.
■ Wipe the outside of the base unit with a
soft, damp cloth and dry off.
■ Clean the accessory parts with a
detergent solution and a soft cloth
or sponge, or place them in the
dishwasher.
■ Dry the blender foot in an upright
position (blender blade face up) so that
any trapped water can run out.
Notes:
– To make it easier to clean the blender
foot after use, place it in a receptable
containing clear water and briefly press
the On button a number of times.
– Discolouration of the plastic parts may
occur when processing foods such as
red cabbage and carrots. This can be
removed with a few drops of cooking oil.
Operation
The appliance is suitable for blending
mayonnaise, sauces, mixed drinks, baby
food, cooked fruit and vegetables. For
puréeing soups.
Use the universal cutter for cutting/chopping
raw food (onions, garlic, herbs, etc.)!
We recommend that you use the blender
jug provided. However, other suitable
receptacles can also be used.
Attention!
The bottom of whichever receptacle you
use must not have any bumps or recesses.
■ Clean all parts of the receptacle before
using it for the first time.

■ Completely unwind the power cord.
■ Place the blender foot on the base unit
and lock into position.
■ Connect the mains plug.
■ Place food in the blender jug or another
tall receptacle.
■ Firmly hold the hand blender and jug.
■ Switch on the hand blender by pressing
the desired On button (normal speed/
turbo speed).
In general, turbo speed is recommended
for processing food. Use normal speed
for liquids and hot food.
■ Once the ingredients have reached
the desired consistency, release the
On button.
■ Unplug the mains plug.
■ Press the release buttons and remove
the blender foot from the base unit.
Notes:
– The hand blender works better if the
food is processed with liquids.
– When switching on the hand blender,
hold it at a slight angle to prevent it from
“sticking” to the bottom of the blender
jug. The hand blender remains switched
on as long as the On button is pressed.
