Unpacking

EachTannoyVLSSeriesloudspeakeriscarefully

tested and inspected prior to shipment. After

unpacking, please inspect for any exterior

physical damage, and save the carton and

any relevant packaging materials in case the

loudspeakeragainrequirespackingandshipping.

Intheeventthatdamagehasbeensustainedin

transit,pleasenotifyyourdealerandtheshipping

carrierimmediately.

Connectors and cabling

VLS Series loudspeakers areconnected tothe

amplier(ortootherloudspeakersina70/100V

systemorseries/parallelconguration)usingapair

ofinternallyparalleledbarrierstripconnectors.

All VLS Series models can be operated as

either a low impedance loudspeaker or within

a70.7/100Vdistributedsystem.Theoperation

modeisselectableviaasingleswitchlocatedon

therearofthecabinet(seebelow).

Operationinlowimpedancemodeoftenwillrequire

useoflargerdiametercablesthanareneededfor

a70/100Vdistributedsystem.Pleaseconsultthe

fullVLSOperationManualforrecommendedcable

typesforvariousapplications.

Switch for Low-Z and

transformer tap selection

A multi-positionrotary switchon the rearinput

panelselectseitherthelow-impedanceoperating

mode or the high-impedance modes (70 V or

100 V) with available transformer taps. When

usingVLSSeriesloudspeakersindistributedline

systems, the transformer can be tapped with

availablepowerlevelsshowninthetablebelow:

Alltransformerprimariesshouldbeconnectedin

paralleltotheoutputoftheamplier.Thesummed

total power rating in watts of the selected tap

settings for all connected loudspeakers must

notexceedthetotaloutputpowerratingofthe

connected amplier output channel in watts.

It is recommended that a generous power

safety margin (minimum 3 dB headroom) be

maintained between the total loudspeaker

power requirements and the amplier output

capacitytoavoidcontinuousamplieroperation

atfullratedoutput.

Wiring the connectors

Low Impedance (8 ohm) Mode

If connecting directly to the amplier in low

impedance mode, connect the positive (+)

conductortoapositive(+)barrierstripterminal

and the negative (-) conductor to a negative

(-) terminal. It is preferable to connect several

loudspeakerstooneamplieroutputinparallel,

series,orseries/parallelcongurationsusingthe

otherinternallyparalleledbarrierstripconnector.

Constant voltage (70 V / 100 V) Mode

Inconstantvoltagedistributedsystems,normally

a number of loudspeakers are connected in

paralleltoasingle amplier output.Connect the

positive(+) conductorfromthe amplieror prior

loudspeakerinthesystemtoapositive(+)barrier

stripterminalandthenegative(-)conductortoa

negative(-)terminal.Theotherparallelbarrierstrip

isavailableforconnectingadditionalloudspeakers.

Outdoor Applications

Arightangledwatertightcableglandissupplied

with the VLS 7 and 15 for use in outdoor

applications (Fig.1). The VLS 30 has an input

panelcoverwithrubberwiringgrommetforuse

in outdoor applications (Fig.2). Before making

connections,passthewire(s)throughthecable

grand/rubber grommet. The input panel cover

issecuredtothecabinetusingthefourscrews

alreadyinsertedaroundtheinput.

Asymmetric vertical pattern:

mounting and ﬂying

VLS Series loudspeakers are designed with an

asymmetrical vertical dispersion pattern, a feature

whichallowsimprovedperformancewithsimplied

mounting in many applications. The vertical

dispersionoftheVLS7andVLS15EN54modelsis

+6/-22degreesfromcenteraxis,whilethepattern

oftheVLS30is+3/-11degreesfromcenteraxis.

Pleasebeawareofthisfeaturewhenplanningyour

installation. In many situationswhere conventional

column loudspeakers would require substantial

downward tilt, a VLS Series loudspeaker would

require less tilt or even allow ush mounting,

thusprovidinga simpler installationwithimproved

visualaesthetics.

Mounting and ﬂying

hardware

Wall Bracket - Each VLS Series loudspeaker is

supplied with a standard wall bracket suitable for

mounting on most wall surfaces. The bracket is

supplied as two interlocking U plates. One plate

attaches to the rear of the loudspeaker with four

supplied screws.The other part is secured to the

wall. The bar on the bottom of the speaker plate

slides into the bottom notch of the wall plate,

while the top is secured with the two supplied

screws. The bracket for the VLS 7 and 15 is

slottedtoallowananglebetween0and6degrees

(Fig.3). Aligning the top two screw holes of the

VLS30resultsinaatushmount;usingthelower

twoscrewpositionsprovidesa4degreedownward

tilt.(Fig.4)

Flying Bracket–EachVLSSeriesloudspeakeris

also suppliedwith a ying bracket. The bracket is

attachedtothetop two insertsusing the supplied

M6screws(Fig.5).Thetwobottominsertscanbe

usedaspullbackifrequired.

Pan-Tilt Bracket (optional)–Apan-tiltbracketis

availablewhichallowspanningandtiltingforexible

orientationalong bothhorizontal andvertical axes.

Rigging and safety

TheinstallationofTannoyloudspeakersusingthe

dedicated hardwareshould becarried outonly

byfullyqualiedinstallers,inaccordancewithall

therequiredsafetycodesandstandardsthatare

appliedattheplaceofinstallation.

Outdoor applications

VLS Series loudspeakers are rated IP64 for

resistancetodustandmoistureingress,andare

resistant to both salt spray and UV exposure,

making them suitable for use in most outdoor

applications. Please consult with your Tannoy

dealer before installation in applications with

extreme exposure to adverse environmental

conditions such as prolonged heavy rainfall,

prolongedtemperatureextremes,etc.

拆箱

每一台Tannoy VLS系列扬声器在出厂前都经过仔

细的检测。在拆箱后请仔细检查你的扬声器有无

任何的外部物理损伤，请保留包装纸箱以及相关

的包装材料以备将来打包和运输时使用。如果发

现有任何运输中造成的损伤，请立即通知您的经

销商和运输公司。

接口和连线

VLS系列扬声器是通过一对内部并联的挡条接口

连接到功放上（或是在一个70/100伏的定压系统

里连接到其它扬声器上，或是通过串联/并联配

置连接到其它扬声器上）。

所有VLS系列的型号都可以作为定阻扬声器使

用或是在一个70/100 伏的定压式系统里使用。

工作模式可以通过箱体背面上的一个旋转开关来

选择。（请看下图）

定阻工作模式通常比在70/100伏定压系统里

需要使用更大直径的连接线。对于不同的应用场

合所建议使用的连接线类型请参考完整的VLS系

列操作手册。

用于选择低额定阻抗和

变

压器分接头的开关

在背面的一个多档旋转开关用于选择定阻工作

模式或带变压器分接头的定压模式（70伏或100

伏）。当在一个分布式定压线路系统里使用VLS系列

扬声器时，变压器可以按照以下图表中的功率

接线

定阻欧8（姆模）式

正极（+）接头连到一个正极（+）挡条端子上，

负极（-）接头连到一个负极（-）端子上。最好

是利用另外的内部并联挡条接头将几个扬声器

以并联、串联或串/并联的方式连接到一个功放

输出上。关于这方面的更多信息，请参考完整

的VLS系列操作手册。

07（伏001/ ）模式

在定压分布式系统，一些扬声器通常是以并联方

式连接到单个功放输出上。将功放或系统里前一

台扬声器的正极（+）接头连到正极（+）挡条端

子，负极（-）接头连到负极（-）端子。另外的

并联挡条可以用来连接额外的扬声器。

室

外应用

针对室外使用VLS7和15都随机提供了一个直角的

防渗线缆密封套（图1），而VLS30则提供了一个

带橡胶布线环的输入盖板（图2）。在连接前先将

线缆穿过密封套/橡胶布线环。利用已嵌在输入

接口周围的4个螺钉将输入盖板固定在箱体上。

不对称垂向角度：

安装和吊挂

VLS系列扬声器的设计目的是达到一种不对称的垂

向散射角度，这个特性可以在许多应用场合中做到

简化安装，同时还能提高性能表现。VLS7和VLS15

的垂向散射角度为中轴上的+6/-22度，而VLS30的

散射角度则为中轴上的+3/-11度。

在计划你的安装时请留意这个特性。在许多情况

下传统的音柱扬声器会要求一个可观的向下倾斜

角度，而VLS系列扬声器要求的倾角则小得多，甚

至可以水平安装，因而在简化安装的同时还提供

了更好的视觉美学效果。

安装和吊挂硬件

标个一有配都器声扬列系SLV台一每 --- 架支挂壁

准的壁挂支架，可以用于安装在大多数墙面上。

这个支架包含两个互锁的U型板。其中一个是用提

供的4个螺丝固定在扬声器背面，另一个固定在墙

上。扬声器上的板子下方的固定杆滑入墙壁上

板子下方的凹槽中，同时顶部由提供的两

个螺丝固定。用于VLS7和 15的支架上开了

槽，可以允许0到6度之间的倾斜角度（图

3）。对准VLS30上的顶部两个螺丝孔可以做

到水平的安装，利用较低的两个螺丝孔则可

以做到向下4度的倾斜角度（图4）。

開梱

VLSシリーズ製品はすべて、工場出荷前にテスト

および検品されており、完全な状態でお手元に届

いているはずです。開梱時に万が一破損が確認さ

れた場合には、直ちにTANNOYディーラー、及び

配送業者にご連絡ください。配送業者による点検

と、将来的な配送の可能性に備え、製品の外箱お

よび梱包材はすべて保管しておいてください。

コネクターと配線

VLSシリーズ製品は内部の並列バリアストリップ・

コネクターを使用し、アンプ、70/100 Vシステム

のラウドスピーカー、もしくは直列／並列コンフィ

ギュレーションに接続します。

全VLSシリーズ製品はローインピーダンス・スピ

ーカーとして運用できる他、70/100 Vディストリ

ビューション・システム内で使用可能です。オペレ

ーション・モードはキャビネット背面に配置されて

いるスイッチ（下図参照）で切り替えられます。

一般的に、ローインピーダンス・モードで運用する

際は、70/100 Vディストリビューション・システム

内で使用されるケーブルより大径のものが必要と

なります。アプリケーション毎に推奨ケーブルは異

なりますので、VLSオペレーション・マニュアルを

ご参照の上、最適なケーブルを選択してください。

Low-Zスイッチとトランス

フォーマー・タップ切替

背面入力パネルにあるマルチポジション・ロータ

リースイッチを操作し、ローインピーダンス・モー

ドかトランスフォーマー・タップ付きハイインピー

ダンス・モード（70 Vまたは100 V）を切り替えま

す。VLSシリーズ製品を70V/100Vライン・ディス

トリビューション・システム内で使用する場合、下

表記載のパワーレベル値にタップを設定すること

が可能です。

トランスフォーマーは全てアンプの出力部に並列

接続されている必要があります。全ラウドスピーカ

ーのタップ設定の合計定格ワット数が、接続され

ているアンプチャンネルの定格出力ワット数を超

えないようにご注意ください。

フル定格出力での継続的なアンプ運用を回避す

るためにも、全ラウドスピーカーの合計推奨パワ

ー値とアンプの出力能力限界値との間に少なくと

も3 dBヘッドルームのパワーマージンを確保して

いただくことをお勧めします。

コネクターの配線

ローインピーダンス（8 Ohms）モード

ローインピーダンス・モードで直接アンプに接続

する場合、アンプの正極（+）コンダクターをVLS

の正極（+）バリアストリップ・ターミナルに、アンプ

の負極（-）コンダクターをVLSの負極（-）バリアス

トリップ・ターミナルに接続してください。複数台

のVLSを1つのアンプ出力に並列、直列、もしくは

直列／並列コンフィギュレーションで接続する場

合、内部並列バリアストリップ・コネクターをご使

用ください。この接続に関する詳しい情報は、VLS

オペレーション・マニュアルをご参照ください。

定電圧（70/100 V）モード

定電圧ディストリビューション・システムでVLS

を使用する場合、通常複数台のVLSを1つのア

ンプ出力に並列で接続します。その際、アンプも

しくはシステム内で前に位置するラウドスピーカ

ーの正極（+）コンダクターをVLSの正極（+）バリ

アストリップ・ターミナルに、負極（-）コンダクター

スピーカーを更に追加していく際に使用します。

屋外設置

VLS 7及びVLS 15 には屋外設置用の直角耐

水ケーブルグランド（図1）が付属しています。VLS

30 は、屋外設置に備え、ラバーグロメット付きの

入力パネルカバー（図2）を装備しています。接続

する前に、ワイヤーをケーブルグランド／ラバーグ

ロメットに通しておきましょう。入力パネルカバー

は、入力端子周りに予め備えられている4本のネ

ジでキャビネットに固定します。

非対称垂直設置：マウン

ティングとフライング手順

VLSシリーズ製品は非対称垂直拡散機能を応

用することで、様々な設置空間に対して最適な

音響特性が得られる高度な技術を内蔵していま

す。EN54適合製品であるVLS 7とVLS 15の垂

直拡散エリアは垂直軸で+6度～-22度、VLS 30

は+3度～-11度となります。VLS設置の際は、こ

の機能を考慮の上行ってください。従来のカラム・

ラウドスピーカーでは設置時に下方傾斜が必要だ

ったところ、VLSシリーズではこの垂直拡散機能

を活用することで傾斜が不要となり、設置空間に

溶け込む埋め込みマウントにも対応します。

マウンティングとフライング・

ハードウェア

ウォール・ブラケット：各VLSシリーズ製品には、あ

らゆる壁材へのマウンティングに対応するウォール・

ブラケットが付属されています。付属ブラケットは二

つが対になったUプレート状になっています。一方の

プレートは、VLSの背面パネルに付属のネジ4本で

取り付けます。もう一方は壁に取り付けます。スピー

カー側のブラケット下部にあるバーは、壁側

のプレ

ートの刻みに入れ込み、上部を付属のネジ2本で固

定します。VLS 7とVLS 15のブラケットは、0度～6

度の傾斜を付けられるように溝が切られています（

図3）。VLS 30では、両ブラケットの上部左右にそれ

ぞれ2つの穴が開けてあります。上部のネジ穴を使

用すると垂直マウントされ、下部のネジ穴を使用す

フライング・ブラケット：各VLSシリーズ製品には、

専用フライング・ブラケットも付属されます。ブラケッ

トは付属のM6ネジを使用し、上部2か所のネジ穴

で固定します（イメージ5）。下部2か所のネジ穴は、

必要に応じて引き手として使えます。

パン＆チルティング・ブラケット（オプション製品）：

パン＆チルティング・ブラケットは、垂直／水平の両

方向にフレキシブルな横振りや傾斜を可能にするブ

ラケットです。設置手順に関しては、ブラケットに付

属される説明書をご確認ください。

リギング時の安全確保

専用ハードウェアを使った T A NNO Y

Professionalスピーカー製品の設置は、作業を

行う資格を持ったインストーラーの手で、設置場

所の安全規定や規格に沿って行われるようにして

ください。

警告：国や地域によってフライングの法的な条件

は異なります。設置を行う前に、必ず地域の安全

規準の監理機関に確認を取ってください。また、設

置を行う前に、法規・内規を十分に確認することを

推奨します。リギング用ハードウェアと安全手順に

関する詳細は、VLSシリーズのオペレーション・マ

ニュアルをご参照ください。

屋外アプリケーション

IP64に準拠したVLSシリーズ製品は防水／防塵

性に優れ、潮水やUVに対する耐性も有しているた

め、ほとんどの屋外アプリケーションに設置可能

です。ただし長期にわたる大降雨や、極端な温度

差が発生する環境における使用に関しては、事前

にTANNOYディーラーまでご相談ください。

Déballage

Chaque enceinte de la série VLS Tannoy est

soigneusement testée et inspectée avant

l’expédition.Aprèsdéballage,veuillezrechercher

tout signe de dommage physique extérieur, et

conservezlecartonainsiquetousleséléments

d’emballage concernés au cas où l’enceinte

devrait être remballée et expédiée. En cas de

dommagessurvenusdurantletransport,veuillez

eninformerimmédiatementvotrerevendeuretle

transporteur.

Connecteurs et câblage

Lesenceintes de lasérieVLS se connectentà

l’amplicateur(ouàd’autresenceintesdansun

système 70/100 V ou une conguration série/

parallèle)aumoyend’unepairedebarrettesde

connexionreliéesenparallèleeninterne.

Tous les modèles de la série VLS peuvent

fonctionnercommeenceintesbasseimpédance

ou dans un système distribué en 70,7/100 V.

Le mode de fonctionnement se choisit via un

simple sélecteur situé à l’arrière de l’enceinte

(voirci-dessous).

Le fonctionnement en basse impédance (LoZ)

nécessite l’emploi de câbles de plus grande

section que pour un système distribué en

70/100 V. Veuillez consulter le mode d’emploi

complet des VLS pour les types de câble

recommandésdanslesdiversesapplications.

Tous les primaires du transformateur doivent

l’amplicateur. La puissance nominale totale

du canal de sortie de l’amplicateur connecté,

enwatts. Il estrecommandéde conserverune

généreuse marge de sécurité (au minimum de

3 dB) entrela puissance requise par la totalité

des enceintes et la capacité de sortie de

l’amplicateurpour éviterquel’amplicateur ne

fonctionneencontinuàpleinepuissance.

Câblage des connecteurs

Mode basse impédance (8 ohms)

Si vous vous connectez directement à l’ampli-

cateur en mode basse impédance, branchez

le conducteur positif (+)à unbornierpositif (+)

de la barretteet le conducteur négatif (-) à un

bornier négatif(-).Il estpréférable de brancher

plusieursenceintes à unesortied’amplicateur,

encongurationparallèle,sérieousérie/parallèle,

en employant pour cela l’autre barrette de

connexionbranchéeenparallèleeninterne.Pour

plusinformationsàcesujet,veuillezconsulterle

moded’emploicompletdelasérieVLS.

Mode à tension constante (70 V/100 V)

Normalement, dans les systèmes distribués

à tension constante, plusieurs enceintes sont

connectées en parallèle à une même sortie

d’amplicateur.Branchezleconducteurpositif(+)

del’amplicateuroudel’enceinteprécédentedans

lesystèmeàunbornierpositif(+)etleconducteur

négatif(-)àunborniernégatif(-).L’autrebarrette

de connexion parallèle est disponible pour

brancherdesenceintessupplémentaires.

Applications en extérieur

Un passe-câble coudé et étanche est fourni

avec les VLS 7 et 15 pour l’emploi dans les

applicationsenextérieur(Fig.1).LaVLS30aun

cache de panneau d’entrée avec un œillet de

câblage en caoutchouc pour l’emploi dans les

applicationsenextérieur(Fig.2).Avantdefaireles
