1 POWER SUPPLY indicators
The indicator lights when powered by the camera, and the
indicator lights when powered by external batteries. The indicator will
blink rapidly when the remaining battery charge becomes low.
Change the battery/batteries in this case.
2 SELECT switch
Use this to switch the input source setting for the camera recording channel.
3 OL (overload) indicators
4 INPUT 1 switch
ATTENTION
i Do not connect or disconnect mics when this is set to +48V. Doing so could
cause a loud noise and might damage this unit and connected equipment.
i Do not set the INPUT switch to +48V when connecting mics that do not
require phantom power.

ATTENTION
i Do not connect or disconnect mics when this is set to +48V. Doing so could

8 1+2 LINK switch
This links three settings for INPUT 2 to INPUT 1, enabling their input
volume (9, w), LEVEL (0) and LIMITER switch (q) settings to be
controlled together.
This setting takes effect when the SELECT switch (2) is set to “IN 1” or
“IN 1+2”.

ATTENTION
Do not connect accessory shoe devices that have connectors or other parts
that stick out. Doing so could damage this unit and the connected device.
r OUTPUT switch
Set this according to how the analog output will be used. Set the switch
to when connecting analog audio to a camera. Set it to when using
it to monitor with headphones.

This is a micro-B USB port specifically for firmware updates. This cannot be
used to power the unit, for example.
f Battery holder
External batteries can be used to power this unit when, for example,
power cannot be supplied from the camera, you do not want to use the
camera battery or there are other limitations to power supply due to the
camera battery, operating conditions or other factors.
g BATTERY POWERED switch
Set this switch to “ON” to power the unit with the external batteries, or set
this to “OFF” to power the unit from the camera.
ATTENTION
i When connecting the battery holder and turning the power on for the first
time, set this switch to “OFF”.
i Since the CA-XLR2d-C and CA-XLR2d-F require control from a camera, they
cannot be operated using just AA batteries when there is no power from
a camera.

iThree types of adapters are available for different cameras. Connect the
adapter that matches the camera being used, and securely tighten the
attachment screws. (You can do this replacement yourself.)

ATTENTION
i Do not directly touch the connectors with hands.
i Always turn the camera power off when connecting or disconnecting this
unit with a camera.
i After connecting this unit to a camera, tighten it securely to prevent it from
falling off.

Precautions for use
o Touching this unit during recording might cause noise to be recorded.
o During video recording, noises from operation and other activity of the
camera and lens might be recorded.
o This unit might not function properly near radio towers and other sources
that generate strong radio waves or magnetism.
o This unit does not have any special waterproofing or resistance to dust or
water. Be careful of exposure to water and dust when using it outside.
o When transporting this unit, detach it from the camera and attach the
connector cover to the shoe mount connection area.
o Do not change the two INPUT switches during recording. Doing so could
cause noise.

Precautions for placement and use
o The operating temperature range of this unit is 0–40 °C.
o Do not install this unit in the following types of locations. Doing so could
make the sound quality worse or cause malfunction.
Places with significant vibrations
Next to a window or in another location exposed to direct sunlight
Near heaters or other extremely hot places
Extremely cold places
Very humid or poorly ventilated places
Very dusty places
Places exposed directly to rain or other water
Beware of condensation
Condensation could occur if the unit is moved from a cold place to a warm
place, it is used immediately after a cold room has been heated or it is
otherwise exposed to a sudden temperature change.
To prevent this, or if this occurs, let the unit sit for one or two hours at the
new room temperature before using it.
Cleaning the unit
Use a dry soft cloth to wipe the unit clean. Do not wipe with chemical
cleaning cloths, thinner, alcohol or other chemical agents. Doing so could
damage the surface or cause discoloration.

1 Voyants POWER SUPPLY (alimentation)
Le voyant s’allume lorsque l’alimentation est fournie par la caméra, et
le voyant s’allume lorsqu’elle est fournie par des piles externes. Le
voyant clignote rapidement lorsque la charge de la batterie ou des piles
devient faible.
Remplacez-les dans ce cas.
2 Commutateur SELECT
Utilisez-le pour changer le réglage de source d’entrée du canal
d’enregistrement de la caméra.

Il couple trois réglages d’INPUT 2 avec INPUT 1, permettant de contrôler
ensemble leurs volumes d’entrée (9, w), leurs commutateurs LEVEL (0)
et LIMITER (q).
Ce réglage agit quand le commutateur SELECT (2) est réglé sur «IN 1»
ou «IN 1+2».

d Port USB
C’est un port USB micro-B spécialement dédié aux mises à jour du
firmware. Il ne peut par exemple pas servir à alimenter l’unité.
f Porte-piles
Des piles externes peuvent être utilisées pour alimenter cette unité par
exemple lorsque la caméra ne peut pas le faire, que vous ne souhaitez
pas utiliser la batterie de la caméra ou en cas d’autres limitations
d’alimentation dues à la batterie de la caméra, aux conditions de
fonctionnement ou à d’autres facteurs.

Commutateur d’alimentation par piles (BATTERY POWERED)
Réglez-le sur «ON» pour alimenter l’unité par des piles externes, ou sur
«OFF» pour l’alimenter depuis la caméra.
ATTENTION
i Lorsque vous connectez le porte-piles et mettez l’unité sous tension pour
la première fois, réglez ce commutateur sur «OFF».
i Les CA-XLR2d-C et CA-XLR2d-F devant être commandés par une caméra,
ils ne peuvent pas fonctionner qu’avec des piles AA sans alimentation par
la caméra.

Précautions d’emploi

o Cette unité ne bénéficie pas d’une étanchéité ou résistance particulières
à la poussière ou à l’eau. Faites attention à l’exposition à l’eau et à la
poussière lorsque vous l’utilisez à l’extérieur.
o Lorsque vous transportez cette unité, détachez-la de la caméra et fixez
le cache du connecteur sur la surface de connexion à la griffe porte-
accessoire.
o Ne changez pas le réglage des deux commutateurs INPUT pendant
l’enregistrement. Cela pourrait causer du bruit.

Attention à la condensation
De la condensation peut se produire si l’unité est déplacée d’un endroit froid

Pour empêcher cela ou si cela se produit, laissez l’unité une ou deux heures à
la température de la nouvelle pièce avant de l’utiliser.
Nettoyage de l’unité
Essuyez l’unité avec un chiffon sec et doux pour la nettoyer. Ne l’essuyez
pas avec des lingettes de nettoyage contenant des produits chimiques, du
diluant, de l’alcool ou d’autres agents chimiques. Cela pourrait endommager
la surface ou causer une décoloration.

1 indicadores POWER SUPPLY
El indicador se ilumina cuando la unidad recibe corriente desde la
cámara, mientras que el indicador se iluminará cuando la unidad
reciba alimentación desde pilas o baterías externas. El indicador
parpadeará rápidamente cuando las pilas/batería estén casi descargadas.
En ese caso sustituya las pilas/batería.

8 interruptor 1+2 LINK
Esto enlaza tres ajustes de INPUT 2 a INPUT 1, lo que le permite controlar

Puerto USB micro B diseñado específicamente para actualizaciones de
firmware. No puede usarlo para alimentación de la unidad, por ejemplo.

Puede usar pilas externas para la alimentación de esta unidad, por
ejemplo, cuando no pueda recibir corriente de la cámara, cuando no
quiera usar la batería de la cámara o haya limitaciones con ella, o por
condiciones operativas u otros factores.
g Interruptor BATTERY POWERED
Ajústelo a “ON” para que la unidad reciba alimentación desde pilas
externas, o ajústelo a “OFF” si la unidad va a recibir la alimentación desde
la cámara.
ATENCIÓN
i Cuando conecte el receptáculo de las pilas y encienda la unidad por
primera vez, ajuste este interruptor a “OFF”.
i Dado que el CA-XLR2d-C y CA-XLR2d-F requieren control desde una
cámara, no podrá usarlos solo con alimentación por pilas AA cuando no
reciban corriente desde una cámara.

iDispone de tres tipos de adaptadores para diferentes cámaras. Conecte
el adaptador que se adapte a la cámara que esté usando y ajústelo de
forma segura con los tornillos de fijación. (Puede hacer esta sustitución
usted mismo).

ATENCIÓN
i No toque directamente los conectores con las manos.

gleich eingestellt werden.
Diese Kopplung wird wirksam, wenn der SELECT-Schalter (2) entweder

Индикатор сигнализирует о питании от камеры, а индикатор

iПри первом включении с подсоединенным батарейным блоком
переведите данный выключатель в положение OFF / ВЫКЛ.
iВ силу того, что модификации CA-XLR2d-C и CA-XLR2d-F требуют
цифрового соединения с камерой, данные изделия не могут
работать только от AA батарей при отсутствии питания от камеры.

iТри типа адаптеров предусмотрено для различных камер.
Установите адаптер соответствующий используемой камере и

WHAT IS COVERED AND WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Except as specied below, this warranty covers all defects in materials and
workmanship in this product. The following are not covered by the warranty:
1. Damage to or deterioration of the external cabinet.
2. Damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse or neglect.
3. Damage resulting from failure to perform basic daily maintenance and/
or calibration or otherwise resulting from failure to follow instructions
contained in your owner’s manual.
4. Damage occurring during shipment of the product. (Claims must be
presented to the carrier)
5. Damage resulting from repair or attempted repair by anyone other than
TEAC or an authorized TASCAM service station.
6. Damage resulting from causes other than product defects, including lack of
technical skill, competence, or experience of the user.
7. Damage to any unit which has been altered or on which the serial number
has been defaced, modied or is missing.
WHO IS COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY
This warranty may be enforced only by the original purchaser. This warranty
is not valid if the product was purchased through an unauthorized dealer.
LENGTH OF WARRANTY
All parts except heads and disk drives are warranted for one (1) year from the
date of original purchase. Heads and disk drives are warranted for ninety (90)
days from date of original purchase. Labor is warranted for ninety (90) days
from date of original purchase.
WHAT WE WILL PAY FOR
We will pay all labor and material expenses for items covered by the warranty.
Payment of shipping charges is discussed in the next section of this warranty.
HOW YOU CAN GET WARRANTY SERVICE
Your unit must be serviced by an authorized TASCAM service station in
the United States. (This warranty is not enforceable outside the U.S.) If you
are unable to locate an authorized TASCAM service station in your area,
please contact us. We either will refer you to an authorized service station or
instruct you to return the unit to the factory. Whenever warranty service is
required, you must present a copy of the original dated sales receipt from an
Authorized TASCAM Dealer.
You must pay any shipping charges if it is necessary to ship the product to
service. However, if the necessary repairs are covered by the warranty, we
will pay return surface shipping charges to any destination within the United
States.
LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES
Any implied warranties, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, are limited in duration to the length
of this warranty.
EXCLUSION OF DAMAGES
TEAC’s liability for any defective product is limited to repair or replacement of
the product, at TEAC’s option. TEAC shall not be liable for:
1. Damages based upon inconvenience, loss of use of the product, loss of time
