Important notice about turning off the fan
This product was designed for use with the fan in the ON position and passed engineering
tests with the fan spinning. To prevent overheating, we recommend that the device not be used
continuously for more than 30 minutes with the fan in the OFF position.

The second Thunderbolt 3 port supports Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 (10 Gbps), and DisplayPort
devices.

Battery charging: This device supports power delivery (PD), providing 27W of power to laptops that
support charging from a 9V/3A power source (e.g. Late 2016 MacBook Pro). This allows you to
recharge the battery even when the laptop is not plugged into any other power source.

Turn on the computer, plug in the power cord (1), turn on the power (2) and then connect the
Thunderbolt cable to the computer (3) to turn on the device.

The disks and the fan will only turn on when the Thunderbolt cable is connected and the computer is
powered on.

If your system is up to date but the Thunderbolt device or the disks are not recognized properly on
Windows (e.g. hot plug), download and install the corresponding driver from the AKiTiO website.
