COOLPIX5000. Der Batterie-Handgriff MB-E5000 nimmt sechs Batterien oder Akkus in der Größe LR-6 (AA) auf und besitzt
einen zusätzlichen Auslöser sowie eine zusätzliche Zoomwippe.

Für eine einwandfreie Funktion des Batterie-Handgriffs lesen Sie bitte diese Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig, bevor das Gerät
einsetzen. Bewahren Sie die Anleitung an einem Ort auf, wo sie auch für jeden anderen Anwender zugänglich ist.
Hinweise zum Gebrauch
• Bevor Sie das Gerät einsetzen lesen Sie bitte sorgfältig diese Bedienungsanleitung und das Referenzhandbuch, welches mit
Ihrer Kamera geliefert wurde.
• Schließen Sie den Batterie-Handgriff nicht an Geräte an, die in dieser Bedienungsanleitung nicht aufgeführt sind.
• Verwenden Sie keine anderen Batterie- oder Akkutypen, als die hier aufgeführten.
• Wenn dem Batterie-Handgriff Rauch oder ungewöhnliche Gerüche entweichen oder Geräusche in ihm auftreten, sollten Sie
die Kamera sofort ausschalten und den Batterie-Handgriff entfernen. Geben Sie das Gerät zur Überprüfung an Ihren Händler
oder an einen autorisierten Nikon-Kundendienst.

Gebrauch des Batterie-Handgriffs (Abbildung 2)
Montage des Batterie-Handgriffs
Bevor Sie den Batterie-Handgriff montieren, prüfen Sie ob die Kamera ausgeschaltet ist, und dass die Auslöserverriegelung des
Batterie-Handgriffs sich in der Position L befindet.

Öffnen Sie die Batteriefach-Abdeckung im Handgriff der Kamera (Abbildung 2-a) und entnehmen Sie gegebenenfalls die Batterie.

Entfernen Sie die Abdeckung der Kupplungskontakte, die sich direkt neben dem Batteriefach befindet, indem Sie sie leicht
eindrücken und heraus schieben, wie in Abbildung 2-b gezeigt.

Lassen Sie die Batteriefach-Abdeckung an der Kamera offen und führen Sie sie in die entsprechende Aufnahme des Batterie-
Handgriffs ein und setzen Sie den Batterie-Handgriff an die Kamera an, wie in Abbildung 2-c gezeigt.

Drehen Sie die Befestigungsschraube leicht fest (Abbildung 2-d).
Gehen Sie in umgekehrter Reihenfolge vor, wenn Sie den Batterie-Handgriff abnehmen wollen.
Einlegen der Batterien (sechs Stück vom Typ LR-6/AA)
Ehe Sie die Batterien einlegen, prüfen Sie in jedem Fall vorher, ob die Kamera ausgeschaltet ist, und dass die Auslöserverriegelung
des Batterie-Handgriffs sich in der Position L befindet.

Schieben Sie die Verriegelung der Batteriefach-Abdeckung am Boden des Batterie-Handgriffs in die Position und nehmen
Sie die Batteriefach-Abdeckung ab (Abbildung 2-e).

Legen Sie sechs Batterien vom Typ LR-6 (AA) ein und achten Sie dabei auf die richtige Polarität, wie in der Abbildung 2-f
gezeigt. Lassen Sie zur einfacheren Entnahme der Batterien das Ende des Bandes so unter den Batterien hervorragen, wie
ebenfalls in der Abbildung 2-f gezeigt wird.

Setzen Sie die Batteriefach-Abdeckung wieder an und verriegeln Sie sie in der Position (Abbildung 2-g).

Schalten Sie die Kamera ein und prüfen Sie den Ladezustand der Batterien mit Hilfe des Displays an der Rückseite der Kamera.
Gehen Sie in umgekehrter Reihenfolge vor, wenn Sie die Batterien entnehmen wollen (Abbildung 2-h).
Auslöser und Zoomwippe des Batterie-Handgriffs
Der Batterie-Handgriff verfügt über eine Zoomwippe und einen Auslöser für Hochformat-Aufnahmen. Die Funktionen entspre-
chen genau denen von Zoomwippe und Auslöser an der Kamera. Für Einzelheiten lesen Sie bitte im Referenzhandbuch für Ihre
Kamera nach.
Der Auslöser des Batterie-Handgriffs verfügt über eine Verriegelung. Entriegeln Sie den Auslöser, indem Sie die Auslöserverriegelung
in die Position • (ein) drehen.
Die Auslöserverriegelung des Batterie-Handgriffs kann nicht zum Ein- oder Ausschalten der Kamera verwendet werden. Zum
Ein- oder Ausschalten der Kamera verwenden Sie bitte den Ein-/Aus-Schalter der Kamera.
Im Aufnahmemodus drücken Sie die Zoomwippe links ( für Weitwinkel), um auszuzoomen, oder rechts ( für Tele), um
einzuzoomen.
Bei der Bildkontrolle mit Vollbilddarstellung und bei der Einzelbildwiedergabe können Sie einen Bildausschnitt auf dem Kameramonitor
vergrößert darstellen, indem Sie die Zoomwippe rechts ( ) drücken. Zur Indexdarstellung drücken die Zoomwippe links ( ).
Geeignete Batterien oder Akkus
Folgende Batterien oder Akkus der Größe LR-6 (AA) können mit dem Batterie-Handgriff verwendet werden:
Batterien: Alkali-Mangan, Lithium; Akkus: Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd) oder Nickel-Metallhydrid (NiMH).

Thank you for purchasing the Nikon MB-E5000 battery pack for use with Nikon COOLPIX5000 digital cameras. The MB-E5000
takes six LR-6 (AA) batteries and includes alternate shutter release and zoom buttons.

Precautions for Use

Before using the product, thoroughly read both this document and the Guide to Digital Photography provided with your camera.
• Do not connect the battery pack to any device not mentioned in this manual.
• Do not use any other types of batteries than those recommended in this manual.
• Should you notice smoke or an unusual smell or noise coming from the battery pack, discontinue use immediately and take
the device to your retailer or Nikon-authorized service center for inspection.

Using the Battery Pack (Figure 2)
Attaching the Battery Pack
Before attaching the battery pack, be sure that the camera is off and that the shutter-release button locking ring on the battery
pack is in the L position.

Open the battery-chamber cover in the base of the camera handgrip (Figure 2-a) and remove the battery, if present.

Remove the coupling contact cover, also found on the base of the camera, by pushing it in and sliding it out as shown in Figure 2-b.

Leaving the battery-chamber cover of the camera open and lining it up with the battery-chamber cover receptacle in the
battery pack, insert the battery pack as shown in Figure 2-c.

Firmly tighten the attachment wheel (Figure 2-d).
To remove the battery pack, reverse the above steps.
Inserting Batteries (Use Six LR-6 (AA) Batteries)
Before inserting batteries, be sure that the camera is off and that the shutter-release button locking ring on the battery pack is
in the L position.

Slide the battery-chamber cover latch on the base of the battery pack to the position and remove the battery-chamber
cover (Figure 2-e).

Insert six LR-6 (AA) batteries, taking care to orient the battery terminals as shown in Figure 2-f. Be sure the end of the battery
removal ribbon protrudes from under the batteries as also shown in Figure 2-f.

Replace the battery-chamber cover and slide the battery-chamber cover latch to the position (Figure 2-g).

Turn the camera on and check the battery level in the control panel on the rear of the camera.
To remove the batteries, reverse the above steps (Figure 2-h).
Battery Pack Shutter-Release and Zoom Buttons
The battery pack is equipped with shutter-release and zoom buttons for taking portrait-orientation photographs. These serve
the same function as the shutter-release and zoom buttons on the camera. For details, please refer to the Guide to Digital
Photography included with your camera.
The shutter-release button on the battery pack is equipped with a locking mechanism. To use the battery pack shutter-release
button, rotate the locking ring to the • (on) position.
The shutter-release button locking ring on the battery pack cannot be used for turning the camera on and off. To turn the
camera on and off, use the camera’s power switch.
When the camera is in shooting mode, pressing (for wide angle) on the zoom button zooms the camera out, while pressing
(for telephoto) zooms the camera in.
In full-screen review mode or full-frame playback mode press to trigger playback zoom and press for thumbnail playback.
Compatible Batteries
The following types of LR-6 (AA) batteries can be used in the battery pack:
alkaline/lithium/NiCad/NiMH

To avoid losing the coupling contact cover, be sure to attach it to the coupling contact cover holder on the MB-E5000.

Whenever you attach or remove the battery pack, be sure that the camera is off and that the shutter-release button locking
ring on the battery pack is in the L position.

When replacing batteries, be sure to replace all six batteries at the same time and with new batteries of the same make
and model. Never mix old and new batteries or batteries of different makes. Failure to observe this precaution could result
in fire, electric shock, or in the batteries rupturing.

If you will not be using the battery pack for long periods, remove the battery to prevent leakage.
