Fostex 8348 は、DVD マルチトラックレコーダー DV824 専用の TC/SYNC カードです。このカードを導入することで、外部タイムコードの記録、外部 LTC へのスレーブ走行、VIDEO 信号に対するクロック運転、さらにはフィルム映写機との同期走行が可能になります。これらの機能は、同期を必要とする MA ポストプロダクションなどにおけるビデオとの調相、あるいはデジタルミキサーとのシステム接続において、DV824 を同期させたデジタルサウンドの録音にも活用できます。

Model 8348
(TC/SYNC card for the Model DV824)
The Model 8348 is the TC/SYNC card dedicated
to the DV824 DVD multitrack recorder.
By installing the TC/SYNC card to the DV824, the
DV824 can stripe an external time code, chase an
external LTC, lock to a video clock, and synchro-
nize to a film machine, in addition to the capabil-
ity of locking to a word clock which is provided
with the DV824 as standard.
These functions are useful in various environ-
ments such as video post productions where au-
dio and video synchronization is essential, digital
recording studios where the DV824 and a digital
mixer are used together in the system.
<Note on installing the Model 8348>
The TC/SYNC card should be installed into the DV824 at a Fostex service station. Do not try to install
the card by yourself. Ask your local Fostex dealer for the installation after purchasing the Model
8348.
<The DV824 which can be used with the Model 8348>
The 8348 can be installed only to a DV824 whose version is 1.10 or higher. If the version of your
DV824 is older than 1.10, your local Fostex dealer will upgrade your DV824 before installing the TC/
SYNC card.
<Instructions of how to use the Model 8348>
For instructions of how to use the DV824 with the Model 8348, see the DV824 owner’s manual (sup-
plied with the DV824) and the supplementary manual for V1.10.
If the version of your DV824 is older than 1.10, your local Fostex dealer will prepare the “supplemen-
tary manual for V1.10” for you.
