Vielen Dank für Ihr Vertrauen in Nikon-Produkte. Der Weitwinkelvorsatz WC-E75
erweitert die Möglichkeiten der Weitwinkelfotografi e mit der COOLPIX 8400. Er
verringert die Brennweite des eingebauten Objektivs auf das 0,75fache, sodass
sich in Kombination mit dem eingebauten Objektiv in Weitwinkelstellungen eine
Gesamtbrennweite von 18 mm (entspr. Kleinbild) ergibt.
Montage des Weitwinkelvorsatzes
Bitte bereiten Sie die Kamera für die Montage des WC-E75 wie folgt vor:
• Schalten Sie die Kamera aus.
• Nehmen Sie den Schutzdeckel vom Objektiv der Kamera ab.
• Schrauben Sie alle Filter vom Objektiv der Kamera ab (sofern verwendet).
1. Entfernen Sie den Gewindering vom Objektiv der Kamera (Abbildung 1-a) und
schrauben Sie den Vorsatzadapter UR-E14 auf (optionales Zubehör; Abbildung
1-b). Bewahren Sie den Gewindering an einem Ort auf, an dem er gut geschützt
ist und Sie ihn schnell wiederfi nden.
2. Nehmen Sie den hinteren Schutzdeckel vom WC-E75 ab (Abbildung 2) und
schrauben Sie den WC-E75 in das Gewinde des Vorsatzadapters UR-E14 (Abbil-
dung 3).
Achtung: Zur Montage des WC-E75 an der Kamera wird der Vorsatzadapter
UR-E14 benötigt (optionales Zubehör).
Merci d’avoir fait l’acquisition du convertisseur grand-angle WC-E75 destiné au
Nikon COOLPIX 8400. Le WC-E75 multiplie la focale de l’appareil photo par 0,75
pour obtenir une focale équivalente à 18mm lorsque l’appareil photo est en posi-
tion grand-angle maximale.
Fixation du convertisseur
Avant de fi xer le WC-E75 :
• Eteignez l’appareil photo
• Retirez le bouchon d’objectif de l’appareil
• Retirez tous les fi ltres éventuellement fi xés sur l’objectif de l’appareil
1 Retirez la bague d’objectif de l’appareil (Figure 1-a) et fi xez la bague adaptatrice
UR-E14 (disponible séparément; Figure 1-b). Rangez la bague d’objectif dans un
endroit sûr.
2 Retirez le bouchon situé à l’arrière du convertisseur (Figure 2) et fi xez le WC-E75
sur la UR-E14 (Figure 3).
Attention : La bague adaptatrice UR-E14 (disponible séparément) est nécessaire.

Gracias por adquirir el conversor gran angular WC-E75 para utilizar con la COOLPIX
8400 de Nikon. El WC-E75 reduce en 0,75× la distancia focal del objetivo de la
cámara, por lo que cuando el zoom está al mínimo, la distancia focal es equivalente
a 18 mm.
Acoplar el objectivo conversor
Antes de acoplar el WC-E75:
• Apague la cámara
• Retire la tapa del objetivo
• Retire cualquier fi ltro que haya en el objetivo
1. Saque el anillo del objetivo de la cámara (fi gura 1-a) y acople un anillo adapta-

Thank you for your purchase of a WC-E75 wide-angle converter lens for use with
the Nikon COOLPIX 8400. The WC-E75 reduces the focal length of the camera
lens by × 0.75, producing a focal length equivalent to 18 mm when the camera is
zoomed all the way out.
Attaching the Converter Lens
Before attaching the WC-E75:
• Turn the camera off
• Remove the camera lens cap
• Remove any fi lters from the camera lens
1. Remove the lens ring from the camera (Figure 1-a) and attach a UR-E14 lens
adapter ring (available separately; Figure 1-b). Store the lens ring in a safe
place.
2. Remove the cover from the back of the converter lens (Figure 2) and attach the
WC-E75 to the UR-E14 (Figure 3).
Attention: A UR-E14 lens adapter ring (available separately) is required.
Attention: When handling the WC-E75, hold it by the body, not the front cap.
Were the cap to come loose the WC-E75 could drop, damaging to
the converter lens.
3. Remove the front cap from the converter lens (Figure 4).
4. Attach the HN-CP15 lens hood to the WC-E75 (Figure 5). The HN-CP15 reduces
“ghosting” when the edges of the frame are brightly lit, for example when the
subject is back-lit or light is entering the frame at an angle behind the subject.
The HN-CP15 also helps to protect the lens.
Removing the Converter Lens
Reverse the order of steps above to remove the lens hood, converter lens, and
adapter ring.
Taking Photographs with the WC-E75
Before taking photographs with the WC-E75, set the
LENS option in the shooting menu to Wide adapter.
Camera settings will automatically be adjusted to make
best use of the converter lens. See the Guide to Digital
Photography for details.

Notes
The camera automatically zooms out to the widest angle when Wide adapter is
selected. Zoom can be adjusted manually; note, however, that best results will be
achieved with the camera zoomed out. Digital zoom is not available. The built-
in Speedlight turns off automatically, but optional Speedlights can still be used.
When using an optional Speedlight, remove the lens hood to prevent it from
blocking the light from the fl ash.
To photograph subjects as close as 1 cm (0.4˝), use macro close-up mode.
Cautions
• This converter lens is intended for use exclusively with the Nikon COOLPIX 8400.
It can not be used with other cameras.
• The converter lens increases the weight of the camera. To prevent blur ring, hold
the camera steadily in both hands or mount it on a tripod.
• Do not hold the cam era by the converter lens alone, as this may damage the
equipment. Detach the converter lens before transporting the cam era.
• Some distortion may occur at the periphery of pictures taken with the WC-E75.
This is normal.
• The camera photo information lists only the focal length of the camera lens, not
the combined focal length.
• Replace the front and rear lens caps when the converter lens is not in use. Note
that it is sometimes diffi cult to remove the front cap at low temperatures.
• The front of the lens protrudes slightly; be careful not to damage it.
• When cleaning the lens, remove dust with a blower. To remove fi n ger prints
or other stains, wipe the lens gently with a soft, clean, cotton cloth damp ened
lightly with pure ethanol. Move the cloth in an even spiral from the center out-
ward, being sure to clean all parts of the lens and to not leave any streaks. Note
that any foreign matter on the lens may appear in photographs.
Accessories
A soft case, lens hood, and protective caps (front and rear) are supplied as standard
accessories with this converter lens. Please make sure that they are included.

los “espectros” cuando los extremos del fotograma están fuertemente ilumina-
dos; por ejemplo, cuando el sujeto esté a contraluz o la luz entre al encuadre
por un ángulo de detrás del sujeto. El HN-CP15 también ayuda a proteger el
objetivo.
Retirar el objetivo conversor
Para retirar el parasol, el conversor y el anillo adaptador, repita los pasos anteriores
en orden inverso.
Hacer fotografías con el WC-E75
Antes de hacer fotografías con el WC-E75, seleccione
Adp.gran angular en la opción OBJETIVO del menú
Disparo. Los ajustes de la cámara se establecerán au-
tomáticamente para hacer el mejor uso posible del
conversor. Encontrará más información en la Guía de
fotografía digital.
Notas
Cuando se selecciona Adp.gran angular, la cámara automáticamente reduce el
zoom hasta el ángulo más ancho posible. El zoom puede ajustarse manualmente;
no obstante, tenga en cuenta que los mejores resultados se obtienen con el zoom
al mínimo. El zoom digital no es posible. El fl ash incorporado se apaga automática-
mente pero las unidades de fl ash opcionales pueden seguir utilizándose. Cuando
utilice un fl ash opcional, retire el parasol del objetivo para que no tape la luz del
fl ash.
Para fotografi ar sujetos que se encuentren a tan solo 1 cm, utilice el modo Primer
plano macro.
Advertencias
• Este conversor se ha creado para utilizarlo exclusivamente con la COOLPIX 8400
de Nikon y no puede utilizarse con otras cámaras.
• El conversor aumenta el peso de la cámara. Para evitar que las fotografías sal-
gan borrosas, sostenga la cámara fi rmemente con ambas manos o utilice un
trípode.
• No sostenga la cámara por el conversor solamente ya que podría dañar el equi-
po. Retire siempre el conversor cuando vaya a transportar la cámara.
• En algunas fotografías tomadas con el WC-E75 puede aparecer cierta distorsión
en la periferia de la imagen. Esto es algo normal.
• En la información de la fotografía que se muestra en la cámara aparece tan sólo
la distancia focal del objetivo de la cámara, y no la distancia focal combinada.
• Cuando no utilice el conversor vuelva a colocar las tapas delantera y trasera.
Tenga en cuenta que, cuando las temperaturas son bajas, puede resultar difícil
retirar la tapa delantera.
• La parte delantera del objetivo sobresale ligeramente, tenga cuidado de no
dañarla.
• Al limpiar el objetivo, quite el polvo con un soplador. Para eliminar las huellas u
otras manchas, limpie el objetivo suavemente con un paño de algodón limpio
y suave humedecido ligeramente en etanol. Mueva el paño en espiral desde el
centro hacia el exterior con cuidado de limpiar todas las partes del objetivo y de
no dejar rastros. Tenga en cuenta que cualquier materia extraña que haya en el
objetivo puede aparecer en las fotografías.

Junto con este conversor se suministran los siguientes accesorios: estuche blando,
parasol del objetivo y tapas protectoras (delantera y trasera). Asegúrese de que

Atención: Al manipular el WC-E75, sujételo por el cuerpo, no por la tapa del-
antera. Si la tapa se afl ojara, el WC-E75 podría caerse y sufrir algún
daño.
3 Retirez le bouchon avant du convertisseur (Figure 4).
4 Fixez le parasoleil HN-CP15 sur le WC-E75 (Figure 5). Le HN-CP15 permet de
minimiser les images parasites qui apparaissent lorsque les bords de la vue sont
éclairés par une lumière vive, par exemple lorsque le sujet est en contre-jour ou
lorsque la lumière provient du plan situé derrière le sujet. Le HN-CP15 permet
également de protéger le convertisseur.
Retrait du convertisseur
Répétez la procédure ci-dessus dans le sens inverse pour retirer le parasoleil, le
convertisseur et la bague adaptatrice.
La prise de vue avec le WC-E75
Avant de prendre des photos avec le WC-E75, réglez
l’option OBJECTIF du menu Prise de vue sur Grand-an-
gle. Les réglages de l’appareil photo seront ajustés auto-
matiquement afi n d’obtenir les meilleurs résultats avec
le convertisseur. Consultez le Guide de la photographie
numérique pour plus de détails.
Remarques
L’appareil photo se règle automatiquement en position Grand-angle maximale
lorsque l’option Grand-angle est sélectionnée. Il est possible d’ajuster le zoom
manuellement. Veuillez noter cependant que vous obtiendrez de meilleurs résul-
tats en l’ajustant sur la position grand-angle maximale. Il est impossible d’utiliser
le zoom numérique. Si vous utilisez un fl ash externe optionnel, retirez le parasoleil
pour éviter que ce dernier bloque l’éclair provenant du fl ash.
Pour photographier les sujets en vous approchant à 1cm, recourez au mode
Macro.
Avertissements
• Ce convertisseur est destiné exclusivement au Nikon COOLPIX 8400. Il est in-
compatible avec les autres appareils photo.
• Le convertisseur augmente le poids de l’appareil photo. Pour éviter d’obtenir
des photos fl oues, tenez fermement l’appareil photo des deux mains ou fi xez-le
sur un pied.
• Ne tenez pas l’appareil photo par le convertisseur seulement car cela risque
d’endommager le matériel. Retirez le convertisseur avant de transporter l’appa-
reil photo.
• Un phénomène de distorsion risque d’apparaître à la périphérie des photos
prises avec le WC-E75. Ceci est normal.
• Les données de prise de vue de l’appareil mentionnent uniquement la focale de
l’objectif de l’appareil et non la focale combinée.
• Remettez en place les bouchons avant et arrière sur le convertisseur lorsque
vous ne l’utilisez pas. A noter qu’il est parfois diffi cile de retirer le bouchon
avant à basse température.
• La lentille avant du convertisseur dépasse légèrement : faites attention de ne
pas l’abîmer.
• Lorsque vous nettoyez le convertisseur, retirez la poussière avec un pinceau
souffl ant. Pour retirer les traces de doigts ou d’autres taches, nettoyez délica-
tement le convertisseur avec un chiffon doux et propre en coton, légèrement
imbibé d’alcool éthylique pur. Effectuez un mouvement circulaire du centre vers
la périphérie pour être sûr de nettoyer l’intégralité de la lentille et pour ne pas
laisser de traînées. A noter que tout corps étranger présent sur le convertisseur
risque d’être visible sur les photos.

Un étui, un parasoleil, des bouchons de protection (avant et arrière) sont fournis
comme accessoires standard avec ce convertisseur. Vérifi ez qu’ils sont bien inclus.

Les caractéristiques et l’apparence externe du produit peuvent faire l’objet de
modifi cations sans préavis.
Attention : Manipulez le WC-E75 en le tenant par l’élément principal et non par
le bouchon avant. Si ce dernier était mal fi xé, vous risqueriez de lâcher
le convertisseur WC-E75 et de le casser.
3. Nehmen Sie den vorderen Schutzdeckel vom WC-E75 ab (Abbildung 4).
4. Befestigen Sie die Gegenlichtblende HN-CP15 am WC-E75 (Abbildung 5). Die
Gegenlichtblende HN-CP15 reduziert Überstrahlungseffekte, die in Weitwinkel-
aufnahmen bei sehr hellen Bildfeldrändern auftreten können (z.B. bei Gegen-
lichtaufnahmen). Außerdem ist der WC-E75 durch die Gegenlichtblende besser
geschützt.
Entfernen des Weitwinkelvorsatzes
Um den WC-E75 wieder vom Objektiv der Kamera abzunehmen, gehen Sie bitte
in der umgekehrten Reihenfolge vor und nehmen zuerst die Gegenlichtblende,
anschließend den Objektivvorsatz und zuletzt den Vorsatzadapter ab.
Fotografi eren mit dem WC-E75
Um die Möglichkeiten des WC-E75 optimal auszunutzen,
sollten Sie im Aufnahmemenü unter dem Menüpunkt
»OBJEKTIVVORSATZ« die Einstellung »Weitwinkel-
vors.« wählen. Die Kamera wählt daraufhin selbsttätig
alle Einstellungen, die für das Fotografi eren mit Weitwin-
kelvorsatz optimal sind. Ausführlichere Informationen
dazu fi nden Sie im Handbuch zur Digitalfotografi e.
Hinweise
Bei der Einstellung »Weitwinkelvors.« zoomt das Objektiv der Kamera auto-
matisch in die maximale Weitwinkelposition. Das optische Zoom kann weiterhin
manuell verstellt werden, es wird jedoch empfohlen, das optische Zoom bei Ver-
wendung des WC-E75 in der maximalen Weitwinkelposition zu belassen. Das Di-
gitalzoom kann nicht genutzt werden. Das integrierte Blitzgerät wird automatisch
deaktiviert, es können jedoch externe Blitzgeräte verwendet werden. Wenn Sie ein
externes Blitzgerät auf den Zubehörschuh der Kamera aufstecken, sollten Sie die
Gegenlichtblende vom Objektivvorsatz abnehmen, da dieser sonst Schatten ins
Bildfeld werfen könnte.
Zum Fotografi eren von Motiven im Nahbereich sollten Sie an der Kamera die Ma-
kroeinstellung wählen.
Wichtige Hinweise
• Der Weitwinkelvorsatz WC-E75 ist ausschließlich für den Gebrauch mit der
COOLPIX 8400 bestimmt. Er kann an anderen Kameras nicht verwendet wer-
den.
• Aufgrund seines Gewichts erhöht der WC-E75 die Wahrscheinlichkeit für
Verwacklungsunschärfe. Halten Sie die Kamera ruhig mit beiden Händen oder
montieren Sie sie auf ein Stativ.
• Halten Sie die Kamera stets am Body und niemals am Objektivvorsatz allein fest,
andernfalls können Kamera und Objektivvorsatz beschädigt werden. Vor dem
Transport der Kamera sollten Sie den Objektivvorsatz der Kamera abnehmen.
• Aufnahmen mit dem WC-E75 können an den Bildrändern Verzeichnungen
aufweisen. Dabei handelt es sich um ein normales Phänomen bei Weitwinkel-
aufnahmen.
• In den Bildinformationen wird lediglich die Brennweite des Kameraobjektivs
aufgeführt, nicht die kombinierte Brennweite von Objektiv und Weitwinkelvor-
satz.
• Setzen Sie immer die beiden Schutzdeckel auf den Objektivvorsatz auf, wenn
Sie ihn vom Objektiv abnehmen und nicht mehr benutzen. Bitte beachten Sie,
dass sich der vordere Objektivdeckel bei niedrigen Temperaturen etwas schwer-
gängiger auf den Objektivvorsatz aufsetzen bzw. von ihm abziehen lässt.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Linsen des Objektivvorsatzes nicht verkratzen. Ins-
besondere die Frontlinse, die über die Metallfassung hinausragt, ist besonders
gefährdet.
• Gehen Sie bei der Reinigung stets vorsichtig vor, um den Objektivvorsatz und
seine Linsen nicht zu beschädigen. Entfernen Sie Staub mit einem Blasebalg und
Fingerabdrücke, Flecken und Spritzer mit einem sauberen und weichen Tuch.
Falls nötig, können Sie das Tuch vorher mit etwas Ethanol (Ethylalkohol) an-
feuchten (verwenden Sie nur reinen Alkohol aus dem Fachhandel oder der Apo-
theke). Wischen Sie vorsichtig in kreisenden Bewegungen von der Linsenmitte
nach außen und achten Sie darauf, dass die gesamte Linsenoberfl äche gereinigt
wird und keine Streifen entstehen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Ablagerungen auf
den Glasoberfl ächen möglicherweise in den Aufnahmen zu sehen sind.

Bitte überprüfen Sie, ob das folgende Standardzubehör in der Verpackung ihres
WC-E75 enthalten ist: eine Tasche, eine Gegenlichtblende und zwei Schutzdeckel.
