To ensure the IP-protection, it has to be ensured that all gaskets are present and functional.
There must be no large gap between the two halves of housing and between the battery
compartment cover and housing.
The device may only be charged outside explosion hazardous areas using the charging equip-
ment approved by i.safe MOBILE GmbH.
The microSD cards type IS-SD164.1 and IS-SD1128.1 or microSD cards which comply with the
intrinsic safety entity parameters mentioned in the certicate, may be used in the correspon-
ding slot in the hazardous area.
Nano-SIM cards which comply with the intrinsic safety entity parameters mentioned in the
certicate, may be used in the corresponding slot in the hazardous area.
The device may only be charged at ambient temperatures between 0°C ... +45°C.
The device may not be exposed to any aggressive acids or alkalis.
The device may only be used in zones 2 or 22.
FAULTS AND DAMAGES
If there is any reason to suspect that the safety of the device has been compromised, it must
be withdrawn from use and removed from any ex-hazardous areas immediately.
Measures must be taken to prevent any accidental restarting of the device. The safety of the
device may be compromised, if, for example:
Malfunctions occur.
The housing of the device shows damage.
The device has been exposed to excessive loads.
The device has been stored improperly
Markings or labels on the device are illegible.
We recommend that a device displaying errors or in which an error is suspected be sent back
to i.safe MOBILE GmbH to be checked.
INFORMATION CONCERNING SAR CERTIFICATION
SPECIFIC ABSORBATION RATE
The SAR limit of Europe is 2,0 W/kg for the head and body, 4,0 W/kg for the limbs. The device
has been tested against this SAR limit. The highest SAR value reported under this standard
during product certication for use at the ear is 1,27 W/kg and when correctly worn on the
body is 1,23 W/kg, limbs is 2,3 W/kg.
This device was tested for typical body worn operations with the back of the handset kept 5
mm from the body. The device complies with RF specications when used at 5 mm from the
body. Belt clips, holsters and similar accessories used should not contain metallic components
in the assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply
with RF exposure requirements, and should be avoided.
