EXRELEVANT SAFETY REGULATIONS
Use of this device assumes that the operator observes the conventional safety regulations and
has read and understood Operating Manual, Safety Instructions and certicate.
When used in explosion hazardous areas, the following Safety Instructions must also be
complied with:
Inside explosion hazardous areas the covers of all interfaces (USB, ISM Interface) must be
closed.
Within explosion hazardous areas, the following accessories may be used when connected to
the ISM interface:
the Headset IS-HS2A.1
the Headset IS-HDHS1x.1
the PTT Button IS-PTTB1A.1 together with the Headset IS-HDHS1x.1
the PTT Button IS-PTTB1A.1 without Headset IS-HDHS1x.1
other accessories approved by i.safe MOBILE GmbH.
The 16-pin ISM connector of the accessory must be securely fastened to the ISM interface.
If the PTT Button IS-PTTB1A.1 is connected to the ISM interface of the device together with
the Headset IS-HDHS1x.1, the connection between the IS-PTTB1A.1 and the Headset IS-
HDHS1x.1 can be disconnected and reconnected in explosion hazardous areas.
When using the IS-PTTB1A.1 without the Headset IS-HDHS1x.1, the unused cable end of the
IS-PTTB1A.1 may remain open in explosion hazardous areas.
When using accessories with Velcro fasteners (e.g. Headset IS-HDHS1B.1), the Velcro fastener
may only be adjusted outside explosion hazardous areas.

To ensure the IP-protection, it has to be ensured that all gaskets are present and functional.
There must be no large gap between the two halves of housing and between the battery
compartment cover and housing.
The device may only be charged outside explosion hazardous areas using the charging equip-
ment approved by i.safe MOBILE GmbH.
The microSD cards type IS-SD164.1 and IS-SD1128.1 or microSD cards which comply with the
intrinsic safety entity parameters mentioned in the certicate, may be used in the correspon-
ding slot in the hazardous area.
Nano-SIM cards which comply with the intrinsic safety entity parameters mentioned in the
certicate, may be used in the corresponding slot in the hazardous area.
The device may only be charged at ambient temperatures between 0°C ... +45°C.
The device may not be exposed to any aggressive acids or alkalis.
The device may only be used in zones 2 or 22.
FAULTS AND DAMAGES
If there is any reason to suspect that the safety of the device has been compromised, it must
be withdrawn from use and removed from any ex-hazardous areas immediately.
Measures must be taken to prevent any accidental restarting of the device. The safety of the
device may be compromised, if, for example:
Malfunctions occur.
The housing of the device shows damage.
The device has been exposed to excessive loads.
The device has been stored improperly
Markings or labels on the device are illegible.
We recommend that a device displaying errors or in which an error is suspected be sent back
to i.safe MOBILE GmbH to be checked.
INFORMATION CONCERNING SAR CERTIFICATION
SPECIFIC ABSORBATION RATE
The SAR limit of Europe is 2,0 W/kg for the head and body, 4,0 W/kg for the limbs. The device
has been tested against this SAR limit. The highest SAR value reported under this standard
during product certication for use at the ear is 1,27 W/kg and when correctly worn on the
body is 1,23 W/kg, limbs is 2,3 W/kg.
This device was tested for typical body worn operations with the back of the handset kept 5
mm from the body. The device complies with RF specications when used at 5 mm from the
body. Belt clips, holsters and similar accessories used should not contain metallic components
in the assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply
with RF exposure requirements, and should be avoided.

ベルクロファスナのついたアクセサリ （IS-HDHS1B.1 ヘッドセットなど） を使用する場合、
ベルクロファスナの調整は爆発の危険がある区域外でのみ行うことが可能です。
IP保護を保証するため、デバイスにすべてのシーリングが適切に備わっていることを確認し
てください。デバイスの左右中間部およびバッテリーカバーとデバイスの間に大きな隙間が
ないようにします。
防爆エリア外では、i.safe MOBILE GmbH が承認した充電装置を使用してのみ充電できま
す。
microSDカードタイプIS-SD164.1およびIS-SD1128.1、または証明書に記載されている本

比 吸収 率（S A R）認 証 情 報
欧州でのSARの制限値は、頭と体が2.0W/kg、手足が4.0W/kgです。この装置は、このSAR制
限値に対してテストされています。耳に使用するための製品認証の際にこの規格で規定された
最高のSAR値は1.27 W/kgです。体に正しく装着すると1.23W/kg、手足に装着すると2.3W/kg
