• The mains cable or anything else must not touch the power switch. Failure to do so could result in
malfunction of auto-off function and risk of fire hazard.
• Avoid coming in contact with steam at the spout of kettle when water is boiling or just after it has
switched off. Do not immediately open the lid of the kettle.

GETTING STARTED (Picture page 3)
1 Setting/changing time. Plug in the machine, the display will ash the initial time showing: 12:00. Press
the HOUR and MIN button to set the required time. Time can only be changed under standby mode,
cannot be changed under program/working mode. Simply press the HOUR and MIN button, the time
changes at once. Note: if you unplug the machine, the time needs so be set again.
2 Place the machine on a at surface. When starting the machine for the rst time, ll the tank with cold
water. Start the machine with the START/STOP button. Let a full tank of water pass through the machine
once or twice to clean it, without using paper lter or coee.
3 Making coee: open the lid and ll the water tank with fresh cold water up to the desired level. There is a
water level indicator on the water tank and on the coee jug.
4 Insert a size 1x4 paper lter in the lter holder and ll it with ground coee. For average strong coee 6-7
g coee powder per cup is sucient. Close the water tank lid and place the jug back (complete with lid).
5 Setting/changing delay time. Press PROG button, then release the program PROG button, the display
will ash the initial time showing: 12:00 and a clock icon. Set hours by pressing the HOUR button. Then
set minutes by pressing the MIN button. Press the PROG button again to confirm, the display will stop
flashing time and clock icon. Clock icon is constantly on and the display will go back to show the
current time immediately.
6 Setting/changing delay time. Note: If user don’t press HOUR or MIN button again, the display will go back
to show the current time after 5 seconds, and setting delay time is cancelled, clock icon will disappear.
7 Start the machine with the START/STOP button. The power indicator light will come on and hot water will
ow into the lter. If the machine is not turned o manually, the Safety Auto-O function turns it o after
40 minutes.
8 If the jug is removed, the lter valve prevents coee from dripping onto the warming plate. (While pre-
paring coee, the jug must not be removed for longer than 30 seconds or the lter will overow.)
9 The Aroma Selector extends the brewing time to maximize the avour extraction and get a stronger cof-
fee for a small number of cups (normally less than 6).
10 The machine is compatible with Electrolux PureAdvantageTM water lter. If you choose to use the water
filter, it’s recommended to change filter after 60 brew cycles. Before using the new filter, place the
new filter into a container of clean cool water, and let it soak for 10 minutes. Then rinse the filter for
10 to 15 seconds under the running tap water.

1 Before first use, wipe the inside and outside of the kettle with a damp cloth.
2 Place the base unit on a firm and flat surface. Connect the mains plug into a wall socket. Redundant
cord can be wound into the bottom of base unit.
3 Press the button to open the lid, pour water into the kettle. Make sure water level is visible in the
water level indicator, but not exceeding the Max. mark. Fill at least 0.5 L water to ensure that the
temperature can be shown on the display. Recommended temperatures:
40-60 °C for baby mixtures
80 °C for delicate teas (green/white)
90 °C for instant coffee or soup
100 °C for perfect black tea
4 Close the lid and make sure it snaps in firmly. Place the kettle onto the base. The display shows the
water temperature. After 5 minutes without operation, the display turns off /black.
5 When the display is off /black, press any button to turn on the display, which shows the water
temperature.
6 Press the START button to heat the water to 100°C. The display shows 100°C and after 3 seconds it
shows the real time water temperature.
7 To heat water to selected temperature (not boiling): Press the buttons or to select temperature.
Press the START button to start heating the water. After 3 seconds, the display will turn from selected
temperature to the real time water temperature.
8 When the water boils or the selected temperature is reached, the kettle beeps 2 times and switches off
automatically.
9 Press the KEEP WARM/TURBO button to keep it warm at 95 °C for 40 minutes.
10 To heat water to selected temperature and keep it warm at the selected temperature: Press the
buttons or to select temperature and then press the KEEP WARM/TURBO button.
11 When the selected temperature is reached, the kettle beeps 2 times and keeps the water warm at the
selected temperature for 40 minutes.
12 To boil only 1 cup of water (Turbo function), fill the kettle with 1 cup of water (approx. 200ml), and long
press KEEP WARM/TURBO button for 3 seconds. When the water boils, the kettle beeps 2 times and
switches off automatically.
13 The automatic switch off function. When the water has boiled or the kettle is moved from the base,
it will switch off automatically. If you wish to stop it in the middle of the heating/keeping warm
process, simply press the START or KEEP WARM/TURBO button again. The white LED light on the
START or KEEP WARM/TURBO button indicates the kettle is operating.
14 When the kettle is lifted up off and put back on the base, the display will show the real time water
temperature and turns off /black after 5 minutes.
CLEANING AND CARE
15 Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance. Never immerse the kettle or base unit in water. Just wipe
with a damp cloth, using no abrasive detergents. Occasionally rinse out the kettle with clean water.
16 To clean the mesh filter, grab the strainer insert and lift out. Cleaning the heating plate – superficial
spots of rust may appear on the base unit. Remove with a stainless steel cleaning agent.
