This product is a charger specialized for the TM-P20 printer and OT-BY20 battery. Please

read this manual and the manuals supplied with the TM-P20 printer and OT-BY20 battery

carefully before using this product.

Keep this manual at hand for immedia

te reference whenever necessary.

Cautions on the Power Supply

Read the manual supplied with the AC adapter carefully before using the accessory AC adapter.

This product uses a listed power unit marked "Class 2" or "LPS," with the output voltage of

maximum 1.5 A at DC 24 V.

With the optional AC adapter (Epson AC Adapter, C), the output voltage is maximum 1.5

A at DC 24 V, and the input volta

ge is AC 100 V to 240 V.

!WARNING:

Be sure to use the specified AC adapter (Epson AC adapter C, model: M235A or

M235B). Using any other power supply could cause faults, fire or electric shock.

Unpacking

When you unpack the charger, check that all its accessories are present and that there is no

damage to it or the accessories. If there are any missing or faulty items, contact the dealer

you bought the product from.

1 Release Button

Connecting the AC adapter

Follow the procedure below to connect the AC adapter to the single charger. See

illustration B on page 4.

1. Insert the DC connector of the AC adapter i

nto the DC-in connector on the single

charger securely to the bottom.

2. Insert the AC cable connector into the AC inlet of the

AC adapter securely to the

bottom.

3. Fully insert the power plug secur

ely into the grounded outlet.

4. Set the label side of the AC adapter facing down.

Charging the Printer

Charge the printer by following the steps below. See illustration C on page 4.

!CAUTION:

❏

Charge the printer at an ambient temperature between 10 and 30°C {50 and 86°F}.

❏

Make sure there is no foreign matter or grease, etc., adhering to the charging terminal.

1. Set the printer in the single charger. Push down the

printer until it clicks.

2. Charging starts and the Charge LED turns on.

3. When charging is complete, the Charge LED turns off. Press the Release button and

re

move the printer.

Cleaning the Single Charger

Before cleaning the single charger, unplug its AC cable from the outlet, without fail, and

wipe off dirt with a dry or slightly wet cloth.

!CAUTION:

Do not use solvents such as alcohol, benzine, or paint thinner. Using such solvents may

transform or damage the plastic or rubber parts.

Press this button to remove the printer.

2 Charge LED

Lights when charging is proceeding normally. (U "Charge LED does not turn on" on page 8)

Lights/Flashes when an abnormality occurs. (U "Charge LED is flashing" on page 8)

3 Charge Terminal

For connecting the printer and battery.

4 DC-in Connector

For connecting the AC adapter. (U "Connecting the AC adapter" on page 7)

Cleaning the Charge Terminals

Charges may not be performed properly if there is dirt or foreign material on the charge

terminals. Be sure to pull the AC cable from the outlet. Then, wipe off dirt with a dry cloth

or cotton swab. Epson recommends cleaning the parts periodically (generally every 3

months).

!KCAUTION:

After charging, the charge terminals can be very hot. Be careful not to touch them and

to let them cool before you clean them.

Do not damage the charge terminals by touching them with your fingers or any hard

object.

❏

Do not expose the charge terminals to water. Perform the cleaning using a dry cloth or

cotton swab.

Troubleshooting

Charge LED does not turn on

❏ Check that the AC adapter is properly installed. (U "Connecting the AC adapter" on

page 7

that the printer and battery are properly installed. (U "Charging the Printer" on

page 7

)

Charge LED is flashing

❏ Turn the printer's power on. If the printer's Error LED stays unlit, the temperature is

outside the range that charging is possible in. Charge the printer at an ambient

temperature between 10 to 30°C {50 and 86°F}.

❏ If the printer's Error LED lights (when you turn the printer's power on), the battery is

faulty. Replace the battery with a new one.

Précautions relatives à l'alimentation

Branchement de l'adaptateur secteur

Connecter l'adaptateur secteur au chargeur individuel en suivant les étapes ci-dessous.

1. Insérez correctement le connecteur CC de l

'adaptateur secteur dans le connecteur

d'entrée CC du chargeur individuel situé à la base de l'appareil.

2. Insérez correctement le connecteur du câble d'aliment

ation dans l'entrée CA de

l'adaptateur secteur située à la base de l'appareil.

3. Insérez complètement la prise d'alimentation électrique dans la

prise du réseau

électrique reliée à la terre.

4. Placez le côté de l'adaptateur secteu

r avec l'étiquette vers le bas.

Charge de l'imprimante

Charger l'imprimante en suivant les étapes ci-dessous. Voir illustration C à la page 4.

Chargez l'imprimante à une température ambiante comprise entre 10 et 30°C {50 et

86 °F}.

Assurez-vous qu'aucun corps étranger ou graisse, etc. n'adhère sur la borne de

recharge.

Nettoyage du chargeur individuel

Avant de nettoyer le chargeur individuel, débranchez son câble d'alimentation de la prise et

essuyez la saleté avec un chiffon sec ou légèrement humide.

!ATTENTION :

N'utilisez pas de solvants comme l'alcool, le benzène ou le diluant. L'utilisation de ces

solvants peut transformer ou endommager les parties en plastiques ou en caoutchouc.

Nettoyage des bornes de recharge

Les recharges peuvent ne pas être effectuées correctement si de la saleté ou des corps

étrangers se trouvent sur les bornes de recharge. Assurez-vous de débrancher de la prise le

câble d'alimentation. Essuyez ensuite la saleté avec un chiffon sec ou un coton-tige.

Epson recommande de nettoyer régulièrement les éléments (généralement tous les 3 mois).

Après la recharge, les bornes de recharge peuvent être très chaudes. Faites attention à

ne pas les toucher et laissez-les refroidir avant de les nettoyer.

N'endommagez pas les bornes de recharge en les touchant avec vos doigts ou tout

objet dur.

N'exposez pas les bornes de recharge à l'eau. Effectuez le nettoyage avec un chiffon sec

ou un coton-tige.

Dépannage

Le voyant de charge (Charge) ne s'allume pas

Le voyant de charge (Charge) clignote

❏ Mettez l'imprimante sous tension. Si le voyant Error (erreur) de l'imprimante reste

éteint, la température est hors de la plage permettant la recharge. Chargez

l'imprimante à une température ambiante, comprise entre 10 et 30°C {50 et 86°F}.

❏ Si le voyant Error (erreur) de l'imprimante s'allume (lorsque vous mettez

l'imprimante sous tension), la batterie est défectueuse. Remplacez la batterie par une

batterie neuve.

Vorsichtsmaßnahmen bei der Stromversorgung

Lesen Sie das mit dem Netzteil gelieferte Handbuch sorgfältig, bevor Sie das Netzteil

verwenden.

Dies Produkt verwendet ein eingetragene Netzteil der "Klasse 2" oder "LPS" m

Auspacken

Anschließen des Netzteils

Verbinden Sie das Netzteil gemäß den folgenden Schritten mit dem Einzelladegerät. Siehe

Abbildung B auf Seite 4.

1. Stecken Sie den Stecker des Netzteils fest in den DC-IN-Anschluss an der Un

terseite

des Einzelladegeräts.

2. Stecken Sie den Kabelstecker fest in den Netz

anschluss unten am Netzgerät.

3. Stecken Sie den Stecker fest in die geerdete Steckdose.

4. Die Seite des Netzteils mit dem Etikett muss nach unten zeigen.

Aufladen des Druckers

Laden Sie den Drucker anhand folgender Schritte auf. Siehe Abbildung C auf Seite 4.

!VORSICHT:

❏

Laden Sie den Drucker bei einer Umgebungstemperatur zwischen 10 und 30°C auf.

❏

Stellen Sie sicher, dass keine Fremdstoffe oder Fett usw. am Ladeanschluss haften.

1. Setzen Sie den Drucker in das Einzelladegerä

t. Drücken Sie auf den Drucker, bis er

einrastet.

2. Der Ladevorgang beginnt und die Charge (Aufladen)-LED schaltet sich ein.

3. Wenn der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen ist, schaltet sich die Charge (Auf

laden)-LED

aus. Drücken Sie auf die Lösetaste und entfernen Sie den Drucker.

Reinigen des Einzelladegeräts

Ziehen Sie vor dem Reinigen des Einzelladegeräts das Netzkabel aus der Steckdose und

wischen Sie Schmutz mit einem trockenen oder leicht feuchten Tuch ab.

!VORSICHT:

Verwenden Sie keine Lösungsmittel wie Alkohol, Benzin oder Verdünner. Solche

Lösungsmittel können die Kunststoff- oder Gummiteile verformen oder beschädigen.

Reinigung der Ladeanschlüsse

Wenn sich an den Ladeanschlüssen Schmutz oder Fremdkörper befinden, wird das

Aufladen möglicherweise nicht korrekt durchgeführt. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Netzkabel

aus der Steckdose gezogen wurde. Entfernen Sie den Schmutz dann mit einem trockenen

Tuch oder Wattestäbchen.

Epson empfiehlt die Reinigung der Teile in regelmäßigen Abständen (in der Regel alle 3

Monate).

!KVORSICHT:

Nach dem Aufladen können die Ladeanschlüsse sehr heiß sein. Achten Sie darauf, sie

nicht zu berühren und sie vor der Reinigung zuerst abkühlen zu lassen.

Beschädigen Sie die Ladeanschlüsse nicht durch Berühren mit den Fingern oder einem

harten Gegenstand.

Die Ladeanschlüsse dürfen nicht mit Wasser in Kontakt kommen. Führen Sie die

Reinigung mit einem trockenen Tuch oder Wattestäbchen durch.

Charge (Aufladen)-LED blinkt

❏ Schalten Sie den Drucker ein. Wenn die Error-LED des Druckers sich nicht

einschaltet, liegt die Temperatur außerhalb des Bereichs, in dem der Ladevorgang

möglich ist. Laden Sie den Drucker bei einer Umgebungstemperatur zwischen 10 und

30°C auf.

❏ Wenn die Error-LED des Druckers leuchtet (beim Einschalten des Druckers), hat der

Akku einen Fehler. Ersetzen Sie den Akku durch einen neuen.

Spezifikationen
