0-Point Adj. Hole
Setting the origin used for normal measurements.
Once set, even when power is off the origin is saved and does not have to be reset with each use.
When battery is replaced, origin will go to default setting. Please reset.
Clean any oil or debris from the Base and Probe measuring
surfaces by wiping with a cleaning cloth or lens cleaning paper.
Place the Base on a reference surface such as a surface plate.
With the Clamp loosened, turn the Ratchet Stop to lower the
Probe to contact the reference surface.
Turn the Ratchet Stop until the Probe makes contact and then
clicks 1-3 times.
If the zero line on the Thimble lines up with the line on the
Sleeve, then the origin is set.
If they do not line up, adjust the zero-point according to the
procedure below.
1. Tighten the Clamp to hold the Thimble from moving.
2. Insert the Spanner into the 0-Point Adj. Hole on the back of
the Sleeve.
3.
Using the Spanner, rotate the Sleeve to align the origin.
Enter Origin Setting Mode by pressing the
[ON/OFF/SET]
Button
for 2 seconds or more. Set icon will blink on the LCD and the
displayed value will be set as the origin.
If the desired value is shown on the display, press the
[ON/OFF/SET]
Button and the origin will be set to the displayed value.
The origin can be set to a different value by changing the
number displayed (the Preset Function.)
1. Press the [ABS/INC] Button to enter Preset Mode and the
leftmost character on the display will blink.
2. Press the [ON/OFF/SET] Button to change the value at the
blinking character.
3. Press [ABS/INC] Button to shift to the next digit.
4. Repeat steps 2, 3 to set the desired value on the display.
5. With the blinking moved to the Set icon, press the
[ON/OFF/SET] Button to set the origin to the value entered
on the display.
The gauge is now ready for measurements.Clean the surface to be measured by wiping with a cleaning cloth
such as lens cleaning paper.
Position the Base on the surface.
With the Clamp loosened, hold the base and rotate the Spindle
using the Ratchet Stop. Turn until the Ratchet Stop clicks 1-3
times.
The measured value is displayed on the LCD display.
Measurement can also be read off Thimble and Sleeve as with
a standard micrometer.

DIGITAL DEPTH MICROMETER
PRECISION DEPTH MEASURING INSTRUMENT

For safe and proper use of this product, please read this instruction manual before use and follow the
procedures described. Please keep manual where it is accessible to user for future reference.

When turning Thimble, be
gentle and do not apply

Always clean measuring surfaces with soft cloth before use.
Do not turn spindle more than 3mm above upper
measurement range.
When turning Thimble, be gentle and do not apply
force. High force on Thimble will cause inaccuracy.
This is a precision instrument, handle with care. Do
not drop or subject to excessive forces.
Keep away from high voltage and strong magnetic
fields. Instrument damage may result.
Keep instrument away from direct sunlight or high
temperatures such as in a car, or near a stove or heat
source.
Do not expose to water or oils.
Do not disassemble or modify.
After use, wipe with a soft cloth to remove any dirt or
grime, and apply a rust preventative oil before storage.
Keep out of reach of children.
Please do not use organic solvents to clean the body
of the instrument.
Remove battery if instrument will not be used for a
long period of time. Batteries may leak if left in
unused instrument for an extended period.
Only use as directed. Improper use may cause
accident or injury.

Press [ON/OFF/SET] Button to turn power ON; measurement will display on the LCD.
Press a second time to turn power OFF.
CAUTION
Make sure the Battery
Cover is closed securely.
Please make sure the
gasket is in the proper
place on the Battery
Cover.

Rotate the Battery Cover on rear
using coin or Spanner.
Insert battery with + side up.
Replace Battery Cover.
Only use CR2032 type
battery.
For comparative measurements, the display reading can be
zeroed at any position by pressing the [ABS/INC] Button. In this
mode, the zero point is retained in memory.
Press the [ABS/INC] Button again to return to absolute mode.
