SUZUKI TONECHIMES®
Handling Instructions
The following instructions explain how to adjust the ToneChime to obtain the tone and sound that you
like best. After reading the instructions carefully it is simple, even for a complete novice, to correctly
adjust the ToneChime.
A. SPECIAL PARTS & TOOLS
The special tools and parts provided are not generally available, so be careful not to lose them.
B. IF THE CLAPPER FAILS TO FULLY HIT THE CHIME BODY, IT’S CAUSED
BY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
1. The head is not striking the chime
pipe in the middle.
2. The gap between the pipe body
and the head is incorrect. (The gap
should be 3~5mm. as shown in the
drawing.)
Make the required adjustment by bending the clapper bar at position (A).

C. IF THE HAMMER MOVEMENT BECOMES TOO TIGHT:
Hammer movement should have an
appropriate resistance. After long use
hammer movement might be too tight
and hard to produce soft sound. In such
a case, use the provided Allen wrench
and adjust the hammer movement by
loosening the socket screws marked as
(B) in the drawing on the left.
