Cette montre permet de mémoriser deux heures de loca-

lités différentes (ou identiques), mais seul un des deux

fuseaux est afché sur l’aiguillage principal. L’heure af-

chée correspond donc à la localité gurant sur le disque

des villes qui apparaît dans le guichet situé à 6 heures.

L’aiguille d’afchage jour/nuit indique si la ville du fuseau

horaire sélectionnée est dans le jour ou la nuit.

Mise en marche de la montre

La montre MARINE 5557 est une montre mécanique à

remontage automatique. Lors de la mise en marche de

la montre, il est recommandé de remonter la montre

manuellement sur une partie de sa réserve, le système de

remontage automatique complétera la réserve de marche

lors du porté de la montre.

Dévisser la couronne I en la tournant vers le bas ( )

jusqu’à ce qu’elle se mette en position 2. Cette position

permet de remonter manuellement le mouvement. Avant

toute manipulation, si la montre est arrêtée, effectuer un

remontage de 40 à 45 tours de couronne vers le haut ( ).

Puis exercer une pression sur la couronne et la revisser en

position 1 en tournant vers le haut ( ). Ensuite, la montre

portée au poignet se remonte et atteint son autono-

mie complète automatiquement. Non portée, après un

armage complet, elle s’arrêtera après 55 heures environ.

Cette montre est garantie étanche jusqu’à 10 bar

(100 m), à condition que la couronne I soit en posi-

tion 1 (vissée) et que la couronne-poussoir II soit en

position 1.

Mise à l’heure

En premier lieu, tirer la couronne-poussoir II en position

2. Puis tourner la couronne-poussoir II dans un sens ou

dans l’autre jusqu’à ce que la ville où l’on se trouve ou

que l’on a choisie (ou, à défaut, la ville située sur le même

fuseau horaire que celle où l’on se trouve ou que l’on a

choisie) apparaisse dans le guichet à 6 heures, repousser

la couronne-poussoir II en position 1.

Dévisser la couronne I en la tournant vers le bas ( ), puis

la tirer en position 4 de manière à stopper l’aiguille des

secondes au moment où elle atteint 12 heures, puis tour-

ner la couronne vers le haut ( ) pour faire avancer les

aiguilles jusqu’au changement de date à minuit. Ensuite,

mettre la montre à l’heure correspondant au fuseau de

la ville afchée en faisant avancer les aiguilles. Pour une

mise à l’heure précise, s’assurer que la dernière mani-

pulation s’est bien effectuée dans le sens horaire. Puis

repousser la couronne en position 2, maintenir la pression

sur la couronne et la revisser en position 1 en tournant

vers le haut ( ).

Correction rapide de la date

Dévisser la couronne I en la tournant vers le bas ( ).

Tirer la couronne en position 3 et la tourner vers le haut

() pour avancer jusqu’à la date voulue ou vers le bas

() pour reculer jusqu’à la date voulue. Puis repousser

la couronne en position 2. Maintenir la pression sur la

couronne et la revisser en position 1 en tournant vers le

haut ( ).

Appuyer sur la couronne-poussoir II de manière à ne pas

rester sur la ville «référence», puis tirer la couronne-pous-

soir II en position 2 et tourner la couronne-poussoir II

dans un sens ou dans l’autre jusqu’à ce que la ville dési-

rée (ou, à défaut, la ville située sur le même fuseau horaire

que celle désirée) apparaisse dans le guichet à 6heures,

repousser la couronne-poussoir II en position 1.

Si l’opération «Mise à l’heure» a préalablement été effec-

tuée, les données afchées pour le second fuseau sont

exactes.

Remarques

Aucune opération n’est autorisée sur la cou-

ronne-poussoir II lorsque la couronne I est en posi-

tion 3 (changement de la date).

Changer de sens de rotation lorsque la cou-

ronne-poussoir II est en position 2 et qu’une èche

apparaît sur le disque des villes dans le guichet à

6heures.

Reading the time zones

This watch can memorize two times in different places (or

in the same place), but only one of the two time zones is

displayed by the main hand. This indicates the time in the

city shown on the cities disc in the window at 6 o’clock. The

indicator hand shows whether it is day or night in that city.

of national borders.

Starting the watch

The MARINE 5557 is a self-winding mechanical watch.

When rst starting your watch, we recommend winding

the watch manually to reach a certain portion of the

reserve, and then the self-winding system will complete

the power reserve while you are wearing the watch.

Unscrew crown I by turning it downwards ( ) until it

moves into position 2. This position makes it possible

to manually wind the movement. Before manipulating

the watch, if it is stopped, wind the crown 40-45 times by

turning the crown upwards ( ). Then apply pressure on

the crown and screw it back into position 1 by turning it

upwards ( ). Then, the watch worn on the wrist winds

up and reaches its full autonomy automatically. When

unworn, following a complete winding, the watch will stop

after about 55 hours.

This watch is guaranteed to be water-resistant to

10bar (100 m), provided that crown I is in position 1

(screwed) and crown-pushbutton II is in position 1.

Setting the time

First, pull the crown-pushbutton II into position 2. Then

turn it in either direction until the window at 6 o’clock

displays the city you are in or the city you have chosen (or,

failing that, the city representing the time zone you are in

or the time zone you have chosen). Then push the crown-

pushbutton back into position 1.

Unscrew crown I by turning it downwards ( ), then pull

it into position 4 so as to stop the seconds hand when

it reaches 12 o’clock, then turn the crown upwards ( )

to advance the hands until the date changes at midnight.

Then set the watch to the time corresponding to the time

zone of the city displayed by advancing the hands. To set

a precise time, ensure that the nal rotation is conducted

in the clockwise direction. Then push the crown into

position 2, maintain the pressure on the crown and screw

it back into position 1 by turning it upwards ( ).

Quick date correction

Unscrew crown I by turning it downwards ( ). Pull

the crown out to position 3 and turn it upwards ( ) to

advance to the desired date or downwards ( ) to move

backwards to the desired date. Then push the crown

to position 2. Maintain the pressure on the crown and

screw it back into position 1 by turning it upwards ( ).

Setting the watch to the synchronised time zone

Press the crown-pushbutton II to move away from the

reference city, then pull it into position 2 and turn it in

either direction until the window at 6 o’clock displays the

city you are in or the city you have chosen (or, failing that,

the city representing the time zone you are in or the time

zone you have chosen). Then push the crown-pushbutton

back into position 1.

If the “Setting the time” operation has already been

carried out, the indications for the second time zone are

correct.

Note

Do not activate the crown-pushbutton II when the

crown I is in position 3 (setting the date).

When turning the crown-pushbutton II in position 2,

if an arrow appears on the cities disc in the window at

6 o’clock, change the turning direction.
