GENERAL OPERATIONAL
PRECAUTIONS
1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches
invite accidents.
2. Avoid dangerous environment. Don’t expose power
tools and charger to rain. Don’t use power tools and
charger in damp or wet locations. And keep work area
well lit.
Never use power tools and charger near ammable or
explosive materials.
Do not use tool and charger in presence of ammable
liquids or gases.
3. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
4. Store idle tools and charger. When not in use, tools
and charger should be stored in dry, high or locked-
up place — out of reach or children. Store tools and
charger in a place in which the temperature is less
than 40°C.
5. Don’t abuse cord. Never carry charger by cord or yank
it to disconnect from receptacle. Keep cord from heat,
oil and sharp edges.
6. When the charger is not in use or when being
maintained and inspected, disconnect the power cord
of the charger from the receptacle.
7. To avoid danger, always use only the speci ed
charger.
8. Use only genuine HiKOKI replacement parts.
9. Do not use power tools and charger for applications
other than those speci ed in the Handling Instructions.
10. To avoid personal injury, use only the accessories
or attachment recommended in these handling
instructions or in the HiKOKI catalog.
11. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacture or its service agent or a similarly
quali ed person in order to avoid a hazard.
Let only the authorized service center do the
repairing. The Manufacture will not be responsible
for any damages or injuries caused by repair by the
unauthorized persons or by mishandling of the tool.
12. Make absolutely sure that the terminal area of the
charger is free of any adhering foreign material or
liquid. If there is any foreign material or liquid, remove
before use.
13. To ensure the designed operational integrity of power
tools and charger, do not remove installed covers or
screws.
14. Always use the charger at the voltage speci ed on the
nameplate.
15. Always charge the battery before use.
16. Never use a battery other than that speci ed. Do not
connect a usual dry cell, a rechargeable battery other
than that speci ed or a car battery to the power tool.
17. Do not use a transformer containing a booster.
18. Do not charge the battery from an engine electric
generator or DC power supply.
19. Always charge indoors. Because the charger and
battery heat slightly during charging, charge the
battery in a place not exposed to direct sunlight;
where the humidity is low and the ventilation is good.
20. Use the exploded assembly drawing on this handling
instructions only for authorized servicing.
PRECAUTIONS FOR CHARGER
1. Always charge the battery at an ambient temperature
of 040°C. A temperature of less than 0°C will result in
over charging which is dangerous. The battery cannot
be charged at a temperature greater than 40°C.
The most suitable temperature for charging is that of
20–25°C.
2. Do not use the charger continuously.
When one charging is completed, leave the charger
for about 15 minutes before the next charging of
battery.
3. Do not allow foreign matter to enter the hole for
connecting the rechargeable battery.
4. Never disassemble the rechargeable battery or
charger.
5. Never short-circuit the rechargeable battery.
Short-circuiting the battery will cause a great electric
current and overheat. It results in burn or damage to
the battery.
6. Do not dispose of the battery in re.
If the battery is burnt, it may explode.
7. Using an exhausted battery will damage the charger.
8. Bring the battery to the shop from which it was
purchased as soon as the post-charging battery life
becomes too short for practical use. Do not dispose of
the exhausted battery.
9. Do not insert objects into the air ventilation slots of the
charger.
Inserting metal objects or ammable into the charger
air ventilation slots will result in an electrical shock
hazard or damage to the charger.

APPLICATION
For charging the HiKOKI BATTERY BSL1240M,
BSL1225M, BSL1220M.
CHARGING
Before using the power tool, charge the battery as follows.
1. Connect the charger’s power cord to the
receptacle.
When connecting the plug of the charger to a
receptacle, the pilot lamp will blink in red. (At 1-second
intervals).
2. Insert the battery into the charger.
Firmly insert the battery into the charger as shown in
Fig. 1.

3. Charging
When inserting a battery in the charger, the pilot lamp
will light up continuously in red.
When the battery becomes fully recharged, the
pilot lamp will blink in red. (At 1-second intervals.)

The indications of the pilot lamp will be as shown in
Table 1, according to the condition of the charger or
the rechargeable battery.

NOTE
The recharging time may vary according to the
ambient temperature and power source voltage.
In addition, the charge time becomes signi cantly
long in a low temperature environment, but this is not
abnormal.
4. Disconnect the charger’s power cord from the
receptacle.
5. Hold the charger rmly and pull out the battery.
NOTE
Be sure to pull out the battery from the charger after
use, and then keep it.
CAUTION
If the battery is charged while it is heated because it
has been left for a long time in a location subject to
direct sunlight or because the battery has just been
used, the pilot lamp of the charger lights for 1 second,
does not light for 0.5 seconds (o for 0.5 seconds).
In such a case, rst let the battery cool, then start
charging.
When the pilot lamp ickers (at 0.2-seconds intervals),
check for and take out any foreign objects in the
charger’s battery connector. If there are no foreign
objects, it is probable that the battery or charger is
malfunctioning. Take it to your authorized Service
Center.
Since the built-in micro computer takes about
3 seconds to con rm that the battery being charged
with UC12SL is taken out, wait for a minimum of
3 seconds before reinserting it to continue charging. If
the battery is reinserted within 3 seconds, the battery
may not be properly charged.
MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION
1. Inspecting the mounting screws
Regularly inspect all mounting screws and ensure that
they are properly tightened. Should any of the screws
be loose, retighten them immediately. Failure to do so
could result in serious hazard.
2. Cleaning of the charger
When the charger is stained, wipe with a soft dry cloth
or a cloth moistened with soapy water. Do not use
chloric solvents, gasoline or paint thinner, for they melt
plastics.
3. Store idle charger
When not in use, the charger should be stored in dry,
high or locked-up place — out of reach of children.
CAUTION
In the operation and maintenance of power tools, the
safety regulations and standards prescribed in each
country must be observed.

PIN

C PIN
Trước khi s dng dng c đin, sc pin như hướng dn
bên dưới.
1. Cm dây ngun ca máy sc pin vào đin.
Khi ni phích cm ca máy sc pin vào đin thì đèn
báo s nhp nháy màu đỏ. (cách nhau 1 giây).
2. Lp pin vào máy sc pin.
Lp cht pin vào máy sc pin như minh ha Hình 1.
3. Sc pin
Khi lp pin vào b sc, đèn báo s sáng lên liên tc
bng màu đỏ.
Khi pin đã được sc đầy, đèn báo s nhp nháy màu
đỏ. (cách nhau 1 giây.) (Xem Bng 1)

Các du hiu đèn báo s được trình bày Bng 1 theo
trình trng ca máy sc pin hoc pin sc.
ĐỀ PHÒNG CHUNG KHI VN HÀNH
1. Gi khu vc làm vic sch. Các khu vc và bàn làm
vic ba bn d gây tai nn.
2. Tnh to môi trường nguy him. Không để các dng
c đin và máy sc pin tiếp xúc vi nước mưa. Không
để các dng c đin và máy sc pin ch m ướt. Và
gi khu vc làm vic đầy đủ ánh sáng.
Không để cho các dng c đin và máy sc pin gn
nhng vt liu d cháy hoc d n.
Không s dng dng c và máy sc pin nơi có cht
lng d cháy hoc khí đốt.
3. Tr em trong độ tui t 8 tui tr lên và người suy gim
th cht, giác quan hoc kh năng trí óc hoc thiếu
kinh nghim và kiến thc có th s dng thiết b này
nếu h được giám sát hoc hướng dn s dng thiết
b an toàn và hiu đưc nhng tác hi nguy him khi

14. Luôn s dng máy sc pin đin áp quy định trên bin
ghi tên.
15. Luôn sc pin trước khi s dng.
16. Không được s dng pin khác vi ch định. Kng kết
ni dng c đin vi pin khô thông thường là mt pin
sc khác vi ch định, hoc pin xe hơi.
17. Không được s dng máy biến thế có cha b tăng

Khi máy sc pin b xn màu, lau bng vi khô và mm
hoc vi được thm nước xà phòng. Kng s dng
dung môi cloric, xăng hoc cht pha loãng sơn, vì
chúng làm tan chy nha.
3. Ct gi máy sc pin kng s dng
Khi không s dng, hãy ct gi máy sc pin nơi cao
và khô ráo – tnh xa tm tay tr em.

Trong khi vn hành và bo trì dng c đin, phi tuân

18. Jangan mengisi daya baterai dari generator listrik mesin
atau catu daya DC.
19. Selalu gunakan pengisi daya di dalam ruangan. Karena
pengisi daya dan baterai akan agak panas selama
pengisian, isi daya baterai di tempat yang tidak terpapar
sinar matahari secara langsung; di mana kelembaban
rendah dan ventilasinya bagus.
20. Penggunaan gambar perakitan pada instruksi
penanganan ini hanya untuk tindakan servis resmi.
TINDAKAN PENCEGAHAN UNTUK
PENGISI DAYA
1. Selalu isi baterai pada suhu ruangan antara 0 – 40°C.
Suhu kurang dari 0°C akan mengakibatkan kelebihan
pengisian daya yang sangat berbahaya. Baterai tidak
dapat diisi pada suhu lebih dari 40°C.
Suhu yang paling tepat untuk pengisian daya adalah
antara 20 – 25°C.
2. Jangan gunakan pengisi daya secara terus menerus.
Ketika satu kali pengisian daya telah selesai, biarkan
pengisi daya selama 15 menit sebelum melakukan
pengisian baterai selanjutnya.
3. Jangan biarkan benda asing memasuki lubang untuk
menghubungkan baterai yang dapat diisi ulang.
4. Jangan pernah membongkar baterai yang dapat diisi
ulang dan pengisi daya.
5. Jangan pernah membuat arus pendek pada baterai
isi ulang. Membuat arus pendek pada baterai dapat
menyebabkan arus listrik yang kuat dan panas yang
berlebihan. Hal tersebut dapat mengakibatkan luka
bakar atau kerusakan pada baterai.
6. Jangan membuang baterai ke dalam api. Baterai dapat
meledak jika terbakar.
7. Menggunakan baterai yang telah aus akan merusak
pengisi daya.
8. Bawa baterai ke toko tempat baterai dibeli segera
setelah baterai yang telah diisi ulang masa pakainya
jadi terlalu pendek untuk penggunaan praktis. Jangan
membuang baterai yang sudah lemah.
9. Jangan masukkan benda ke dalam slot ventilasi udara
pada pengisi daya.
Memasukkan benda logam atau bahan yang mudah
terbakar ke slot ventilasi udara pengisi daya akan
mengakibatkan bahaya sengatan listrik atau merusak
pengisi daya.

TINDAKAN PENCEGAHAN
PENGOPERASIAN UMUM
1. Jaga area kerja tetap bersih. Area kerja dan meja yang
berantakan dapat mengundang kecelakaan.
2. Hindari lingkungan yang berbahaya. Jangan
memaparkan perkakas listrik dan pengisi daya ke hujan.
Jangan gunakan perkakas listrik dan pengisi daya di
lokasi yang lembap atau basah. Dan Jaga agar area
kerja memiliki pencahayaan yang cukup.
Jangan pernah menggunakan perkakas listrik dan
pengisi daya di dekat bahan yang mudah terbakar atau
meledak.
Jangan gunakan perkakas listrik dan pengisi daya jika

3. Alat ini dapat digunakan oleh anak berusia 8 tahun ke
atas dan orang dengan kemampuan sik, sensorik atau
mental yang terganggu atau kurangnya pengalaman
dan pengetahuan jika mereka telah diberi pengawasan
atau instruksi tentang penggunaan perkakas dengan
cara yang aman dan memahami bahaya terlibat. Anak-
anak tidak boleh bermain-main dengan perkakas ini.
Pembersihan dan pemeliharaan pengguna tidak boleh
dilakukan oleh anak-anak tanpa pengawasan.
4. Simpan peralatan dan pengisi daya yang tidak dipakai.
Saat tidak dipakai, perkakas dan pengisi daya harus
disimpan di tempat yang kering, tinggi, atau terkunci,
yang jauh dari jangkauan anak-anak. Simpan peralatan
dan pengisi daya di tempat yang bersuhu kurang dari
40°C.
5. Jangan memperlakukan kabel tidak sebagaimana
mestinya. Jangan pernah membawa pengisi daya
dengan memegang kabelnya atau menariknya untuk
melepaskannya dari stopkontak. Jauhkan kabel dari
panas, minyak, dan tepi yang tajam.
6. Ketika pengisi daya tidak dipakai atau ketika sedang
dilakukan pemeliharaan dan pemeriksaan, lepas kabel
daya pengisi daya dari stopkontak.
7. Untuk menghindari bahaya, selalu gunakan pengisi
daya yang ditetapkan.
8. Hanya gunakan komponen pengganti HiKOKI asli.
9. Jangan gunakan perkakas listrik dan pengisi daya untuk
penggunaan selain daripada yang ditetapkan di dalam
Instruksi Penanganan.
10. Untuk menghindari cedera pribadi, hanya gunakan
aksesori atau kelengkapan yang direkomendasikan di
dalam instruksi penanganan ini atau di dalam katalog
HiKOKI.
11. Jika kabel daya rusak, maka harus diganti oleh pabrikan
atau agen pelayanannya atau orang yang memenuhi
syarat untuk menghindari bahaya.
Biarkan pusat pelayanan resmi yang melakukan
perbaikan. Pabrikan tidak akan bertanggung jawab atas
kerusakan atau cedera yang diakibatkan oleh perbaikan
oleh orang yang tidak resmi atau karena kesalahan
penanganan peralatan.
12. Pastikan dengan benar bahwa area terminal dari
pengisi daya bebas dari benda asing atau cairan yang
menempel. Jika ada benda asing atau cairan, bersihkan
sebelum menggunakannya.
13. Untuk memastikan integritas operasional perkakas listrik
dan pengisi daya sesuai rancangannya, jangan melepas
penutup atau sekrup yang terpasang.
14. Selalu gunakan pengisi daya dengan tegangan sesuai
yang ditetapkan pada plat nama.
15. Selalu isi daya baterai sebelum digunakan.
16. Jangan menggunakan baterai selain dari yang
ditetapkan. Jangan menyambungkan baterai kering,
baterai isi ulang selain daripada yang ditetapkan atau
baterai mobil ke perkakas listrik.

PENGISIAN DAYA
Sebelum memakai perkakas listrik, isi daya baterai sebagai berikut.
1. Hubungkan kabel pengisi daya ke stopkontak.
Saat menghubungkan colokan pengisi daya ke
stopkontak, lampu pemandu akan berkedip merah.
(dalam interval 1 detik)
2. Masukkan baterai ke dalam pengisi daya.
Masukkan dengan kuat baterai ke dalam pengisi daya
seperti yang ditunjukkan dalam Gbr.1.
3. Pengisian Daya
Saat memasukkan baterai ke dalam pengisi daya, lampu
pemandu akan terus menyala berwarna merah.
Ketika baterai telah terisi sepenuhnya, lampu pemandu
berwarna merah akan berkedip. (dalam interval 1 detik)

CATATAN
Waktu pengisian daya dapat bervariasi bergantung suhu
ruangan dan tegangan sumber daya.
Di samping itu, waktu pengisian akan menjadi lama
secara signi kan dalam lingkungan bersuhu rendah, tapi
ini tidak abnormal.
4. Putuskan kabel pengisi daya dari stopkontak.
5. Pegang pengisi daya dengan kuat dan tarik baterai.
CATATAN
Pastikan untuk menarik baterai dari pengisi daya setelah
digunakan, dan simpan.
PERHATIAN
Apabila baterai diisi dayanya ketika dipanaskan
karena sudah lama dibiarkan di tempat yang terkena
sinar matahari langsung atau karena baterai baru
habis dipakai, lampu pemandu dari pengisi daya akan
menyala selama 1 detik, tidak menyala selama 0,5 detik
(mati selama 0,5 detik).
Jika ini terjadi, biarkan baterai mendingin terlebih
dahulu, lalu mulailah mengisi daya,
Ketika lampu pilot berkedip (pada interval 0,2 detik),
periksa dan ambil benda asing apa pun dalam konektor
baterai pengisi daya. Jika tidak ada benda asing, ada
kemungkinan bahwa baterai atau pengisi daya rusak.
Bawalah ke Pusat Servis resmi Anda.
Karena komputer mikro yang menyatu butuh 3 detik untuk
memastikan bahwa baterai yang sedang diisi dengan
UC12SL telah diambil, tunggu paling cepat 3 detik 3
sebelum memasukkan kembali untuk diisi dayanya.
PEMELIHARAAN DAN PEMERIKSAAN
1. Memeriksa sekrup pemasang
Periksa secara rutin sekrup pemasang dan pastikan
sekrup terpasang erat. Jika ada sekrup yang longgar,
segera eratkan kembali. Tidak dapat melakukan hal ini
dapat mengakibatkan risiko bahaya yang serius.
2. Membersihkan pengisi daya
Ketika pengisi daya kotor, bersihkan dengan kain kering
lembut atau kain yang diberi air sabun. Jangan gunakan
pengencer klorin, bensin, atau pengencer cat, karena
akan menyebabkan plastik mencair.
3. Simpan pengisi daya yang tidak dipakai.
Saat tidak dipakai, pengisi daya harus disimpan di
tempat yang kering, tinggi, atau terkunci, yang jauh dari
jangkauan anak-anak.
PERHATIAN
Saat mengoperasikan dan memelihara perkakas listrik,
peraturan dan standar keselamatan yang ditetapkan di
setiap negara harus dipatuhi.
CATATAN
