It is very important to handle your cymbals with care and clean them on
a regular basis.
Traces from your hands, if it’s perspiration, hand creams/oils and even
cigarette smoke, will adhere to the finish on the cymbals. Over time, the
“build up” can cause stains to appear in the cymbal finish.
For cleaning, use a soft cloth that has been soaked with a watered-down
neutral detergent. Afterwards, wipe it again with a soft dry cloth.
REMEMBER: Playing the cymbals with a damaged stick or abrasive material
will damage the surface and cause stains to appear.
The silver coating of this cymbal pad is designed for durability but it is not
indestructible. Depending on your playing style, over time it can become
tarnished (like an acoustic cymbal). Stick marks may be visible as well,
depending on the viewing angle. Slight changes in the finish, however, will
NOT affect the triggering performance. Do NOT play with wire brushes, a
damaged stick or any abrasive material.
During transport or storage, pack each cymbal in the plastic bag it came in or
a similar type of bag (cloth or plastic). Do not stack the cymbals on top of
each other and never place anything heavy on top of the cymbal.
Do not allow rubber, vinyl, or similar materials to remain in contact with the
cymbal playing surface. Such materials can possibly tarnish or stain the finish.
